The heat factor should be explored more coz our second wave in SA was in January at the height of summer (30+ degree weather). I think Brazil has similar harsh weather to parts of West Africa but u know the Covid situation over there. The fact is that there was never a time the leaders of the East agreed that Eastern Region shall seize.

Ojukwu was the last leader of the East and until the day he declared Biafra he no longer recognized the Nigerian head of state that holds true till this day, Philip Efiong was not the leader of the Eastern Region but Biafra and the core of the East does not recognise Nigeria until the head of state agrees to the autonomy of the region, Eastern Region did not seize to exist we just seized to recognise Lagos and until then, the Eastern Veto/Igbos can restore our Region.

It is only Western, Northern, Midwest that was dissolved with the approval and in compliance with the leadership, Eastern Region lives on.
