Kachikwu and his vision will be fine, it all depends on Buhari . . . if he lets his kinsmen play their usual games, then everything Kachikwu has been building will come to nought. A Niger Deltan should have been made GMD irrespective of Kachikwu still being the minister of state! |

989900: I already explained all that Mo', nothing to add, nothing to take away.
It was a good decision.
BTW, there is nothing like 'absolute authority', that totally is non-existent anywhere, especially not under PMB. Even the CBN governor does not enjoy that.
Diezani did all she did (like a goddess, like invincible) under the patronage of 'le boss', 'el-clueless'.
And coming from where we were, checks and balances win, that was why we voted the disciplinarian. After the foundation is laid, we can now build on it going forward.
Kachikwu is so good today; he might turn corrupt tomorrow, that can happen to anybody -- PMB inclusive, that is why checks and balances towers above all, goodwill and dexterity inclusive.
I have no problem with Kachikwu being removed as GMD. It was never the correct option being made minister of state, petroleum and GMD at the same time. What I have a problem with is maikanti baru taking over as GMD of NNPC!! Are there no persons qualified among the urhobos, isokos, itshekiris, ibibios, ogonis or other tribes in the Niger Delta to be GMD? How insensitive can my dear Daura mallam be? What is a Yoruba man (Akintelure) doing there when an Urhobo man isn't there? What is the lazy, sloppy and greedy Abba kyari doing there? How effective has he been as chief of staff? Other than courting one scandal after another? What rubbish composition is that board? How do we argue with the rabble rouser called ankio Briggs who was obviously dumb all through the years of GEJ presidency? If she wasn't right before, now she is courtesy of this unconscionable board. Avengers or not, I'll prefer all members of the board being from the Niger Delta than this nonsense. No matter what we say, its their oyel damnit!! I hear maikanti Batu is qualified but so is Dr Owei, Henry Boyo, Dr Egbert Imomoh and a host of other Niger Deltans. These times are sensitive and we can only pretend for so long. A Yoruba proverb says "somebody we wish to set on fire has made our job easier by rubbing himself all over with palm oil". Buhari just legitimized the avengers, terminators or whatever fancy names they adopt. The truth is that someone else other than Kachikwu should have been made minister of state. The guy was tailor made for GMD! His 'upgrade' is a gross disservice to Nigeria. PENGASSAN with their tantrums too didn't help matters. What did they want from Kachikwu? Is it baru that'll perform magic? |

Politics › Sheriff Inaugurates Panel For Edo Primary by theV0ice(op): 4:43pm On Jun 23, 2016 |
The crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party deepened on Thursday with the inauguration of five committees for the conduct of another primary for the 2016 Edo State governorship election by Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff.
This is coming barely four days after a similar primary by the Sen. Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee produced Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the party’s flag bearer for the same election.
Sheriff who inaugurated the committees, cited Section 50(1) of the PDP constitution which he noted was derived from the provisions of relevant sections of the Constitution and the Electoral Act, as basis for his action.
The committees are: Screening, Appeal, Ad-Hoc delegate, Ad-Hoc delegate appeal and the main Gubernatorial Primary.
Sheriff explained that the primary will hold on Wed 29th June, 2016 in Benin, the Edo State capital. He accused the Makarfi-led committee of importing “Fulani herdsmen” to occupy the party’s National Secretariat.

Why did they reduce it? 1.To punish Buhari
2.To punish Niger Delta people
3.To punish Amaechi
4.To cut costs and save money for NigeriaWhat might the answer be? Meanwhile, did the PDP senators partake of the process or they boycotted it as they earlier threatened? |

Politics › Re: Nigerian Mathematician Lere Olayinka Develops New Laws On Definite Conclusion. by theV0ice: 9:05am On Jun 23, 2016 |
StOla: A Nigerian political scholar who happens to be an aide to the ignoble Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, 'Lere Olayinka, has developed and proved a new mathematical law.
The law which is now known as the "Lere Theorem of Definite Conclusion", had eluded many erudite scholars in the field. However, Ekiti State being the fountain of knowledge, Mr Lere found it easy to arrive at a conclusion many never thought was brilliant enough to be defended.
Lere said, "it is all in the mind, you just remain fixated with the definite conclusion you intend to arrive at, put the numbers together and perform mathematical operations and induction. Indeed it takes a bold mind to solve this puzzle. Brilliance is really not needed for this law to work, infact, I would suggest that it be discarded"
Lere put this new theorem to test.
"Imagine if I want to conclude that a certain man from Daura callled Muhammadu aged 73, was married to Aisha aged 45 from Adamawa when she was only 13yrs old.
73 - 45 = 32 (conventional maths is 28), Lere Theorem 1.
Then we subtract any higher number from the above answer that can give us the desired number. Fortunately, we can use the same number 45 already used above to achieve this.
45 - 32 = 13 (logic of this operation not defined in conventional maths), Lere Theorem 2."
When prodded further on how this new theories were validly tested and passed as laws, he had this to say.
"The power of wild imagination is all about being mischievously creative. Like imagination TV, you have to do all that is necessary to sell your dummy as the real deal. The theorem of definite conclusions has come to stay, and I take full credits for it. It is the result of creative thinking."
Mr Lere also made it known that he will be attending the Conference of Creative Political Mathematics, holding at the train station in central Beijing, China. As he put it, "I am very eager to mount the podium and catch everyone's attention".
We wish Mr Lere the very best. No be small thing. Lere's theorem |

Koolmexxi: My questions are stemmed out of the fact dat Ribadu came out to claim dey have been after dis same pesin for more than 10yrs now but have let d other pesins fingered in d scandal walk around free and still even take part in d affairs of the country. Your post doesn't still show how a middle aged Aisha resident of the USA in 2002 is the same Aisha, wife of the president, who is 45years old in 2016! |

Koolmexxi: Damage control coming late.. So there happens to be anoda Aisha Muhammadu Buhari with exactly d same name and from d same Daura who Ribadu claims dey've been pursuing for more than 10yrs abi? How com we haven't had about a different Atiku Abubakar? So a US congressman who happens to b well connected in d region dealt with an imposter in d almighty Halliburton scandal? D more dis ppl talk about dis with denials, claims and counter denials, d more obvious d fact is and raises even more questions. They must really think Nigerians are stupid. D US has done and dusted their own trial, no point washing all these stinking laundry in public considering the prevailing economic and social conditions in d country. And you're so sure the President's wife is an indigene of Daura in katsina state? Even after every idiot knows she's a daughter of Alhaji Ribadu, a former federal commisioner and an illustrious son of Adamawa? |
Politics › Re: Aisha Buhari In The US Different From Nigeria First Lady Aisha Buhari - SR by theV0ice: 7:03am On Jun 23, 2016 |
bejeiodus: We need more facts from our media houses. The media can help unmask the Aisha in this scandal through investigative journalism. Sahara reporters have done a decent job, but this has not laid the matter to rest. We need to know why she choice to impersonate Buhari's wife and not other former First Ladies. We also need to know if there is any truth in the alleged refusal of the First Lady to travel to the US since the scandal became public, and other ancillary details...The media owes Nigerians an independent verification of "facts" being peddled about. You're one decent critic of the president whom I trust reasons things through and i applaud you. @the bold, do you think there's also a criminal reason why she's not being to Germany, France or India since her husband ascended the seat of power? Also if the Aisha in question has a garnishee order against her and even appeared in court as recently as March 2016, don't you think the President's wife would have to be a US resident to make it possible? When was the last time the President's wife in the USA? |

WHERE IS EFCC AND DSS, U GUYZ SHOULD GO AND ARREST THE PERSON IN THE PASSPORT Amitex: The BIG question waiting for answer is WHY HAS AISHA M BUHARI, President wife avoided stepping into the US. This other Aisha Buhari lives in US and FBI have NEVER interrogated her, yet have asked EFCC to investigate the owner of Citizens International Bank Account domiciled in Nigeria. If this Aisha is the culprit, and she lived in US with Jefferson why would she be making transfers from Nigeria instead of simply delivering cash to avoid trace?
