IS TWITTER THE INSECURITY WREAKING US?

Every community peopled by different cultures and norms has laid down rules and regulations that govern the conduct and behavior of its people. Whoever contravenes these rules and regulations, irrespective of their status, should be made to face the law that binds the habits of the community.

Our President, Major General Muhammad Buhari, contravened the policy of Twitter; therefore, being punished for it makes no mistake of the law that determines sanity of usage of Twitter account.

But, it is disappointing that a President that is expected to be law abiding, could be so lawless to the extent of going against the policy of Twitter, posting an inciting message of Civil War against the Ibo people of Southeast Nigeria, which went against the policy of Twitter.

Our President is selfish. Why didn't Donald Trump ban Twitter against all Americans?

The decision of the Federal Government to ban Twitter from being operational in Nigeria is a very wrong one. Beyond the surface level, it shows Nigeria as a lawless nation. It depicts this country as a nation that does not believe in laid down rules and regulations, meant to govern, control and checkmate the behavior of a given community. This is a given to the fact that Nigeria is a lawless nation, and our President is an archetypal character on the stage of this lawless role. What a nation with a lawless President!

If the President of a whole nation could decide to go against the regulatory ethos of a community because he is a President, and thereafter, even finds it difficult to apologize, but decides to ban Twitter, knowing full well that he went wrong, he is indeed a body of constituted lawlessness.

Twitter has shown to Buhari that being lawless does not make sanity reign in a given community. Twitter has taught our President that he is a lawless individual that cannot be condoned in the sane Twitter community, but he has failed to learn the sweet bitter tweet lesson.

Banning Twitter is an infringement on the fundamental rights of Nigerians to the freedom of speech and expressions. It is also an undue emotional reaction from the President. This solely shows our President as a leader who does not care about the led. He is only concerned about himself, not the people he leads. Banning Twitter is banning the operations of many businesses and agencies in this country. This is totally unfair and unbecoming.

The Buhari-led administration is an administration that is good at giving punches of criticism and agonies to people, but not good at receiving punches of criticism from the public.

We urge Federal Government to reverse this order for the benefits of Nigerians, if truly he is a President whose people matter to him.

Pastors have the right to be Rich. Stop blaming Pastors for your poverty! ~Adeniyi Emmanuel

Its now a normal trend in Nigeria for people to be abusing rich men of God for their wealth. Anybody can be rich in Nigeria, but you must not be a Pastor. What? That is wickedness! Well, some Pastors may have many excesses but its wrong to always think Pastors who are rich became rich with your tithes and offerings. OK, lets come to the reality of it. Do you even pay tithes? In your church of hundred, how many of you pay tithes regularly? Seriously, you think the church run cost free? I don't know of your church but my church should run on nothing less than 300-400k per month. After closing, you see some regular members who actually came to church so they can collect what will sustain them till the following Sunday. Its not a crime if a Pastor is wealthy, its not a sin! Anyone can be rich if they work hard and its not a crime. Do u understand? There are people with excesses, greedy and selfish. You see that in every sector of any Nation. Before you generalized, consider all possibilities. Are u telling me a man that has ministry all over the continents and preaches all over the nations of the earth should be foot walking like a man who has never taken his life serious? Do you mean Abraham is also not a man of God? Because this guy had an army that defeated about

Well, I don't know where u are coming from on this. But my problem is, why do people get angry when Pastors start making waves? We have poor farmers and rich farmers, poor Bankers and rich bankers, poor government workers and rich government workers... Etc. When it comes to rich pastors we lock up as if its bad to be rich. Yes, how many rich man do you know that are not productive? Forget the issue of Pastor or no Pastor! Mind set makes people rich; take it or leave it!. You are a businessman now; go and buy private jet now. Is it that easy to save money and buy things like that? We have to start accepting that if anyone is richer than anyone, its because the person is doing what you are not doing and if you are angry go and do what he's doing. Its okay if politicians are rich, its okay if an unbeliever is rich but then its not okay if a pastor is rich? Hmm.... We have pastors who invested their life on people and then when the result boom, people cry because "he's just a pastor!". If this God can really turn lives around, so he should not give the power, wisdom, ideas to get wealth to Pastors? Sometimes we are funny in this country. You may point to excesses; the good news is we have excesses everywhere. If anyone is angry that any pastor is rich, its a free world let him start a new church. Fraud your members and see if they will keep increasing. No hard feelings though.
Are you telling me you don't know that all this people you are talking about can give anything give able? Scholarships? Free health care, empowerment, and all kinds. On top that they will still fast and pray so people can be blessed. Guess what? you are still abusing them, people still want everything given to them. Many of us no get work o, give birth to 6-8children and then we find someone to blame for our poverty. So my pastor who is quietly investing in me when no family is there will not ride private jet tomorrow when God changes my level? Or you think I won't team up with a friend in the church to make sure he's wearing new shoes every Sunday. When this is now happening you will now say he's stealing church money. When he's sponsoring me and others, you are not there, when he's feeding us, you are not there, sometimes he will choose us over his family! I can keep going on and on and on..... Now he's living in a big house, fine cars and driving the latest Range. He celebrates his birthday and people loads his house like a shopping mall. 200brand new cars, 5000freezers, TV sets, home gadgets, landed properties.... Bla bla bla bla. You now think he will not fly private jet so someone will not say he's living extravagantly? You self should reason am now. Its impossibly impossible! If you invest in people, you go reap am one day! Anybody can be greatly rich including Pastors! Amen?
In conclusion, I am not encouraging any Pastor exploiting their members, You manipulate people to get money from them so you can live a luxury life? We are not to judge you, any sacrifice we make is onto God and so let's see how your matter will end. Offerings, tithes, sacrifices are sweet ehn? Everyone will pay for their Sins. Stop spoiling Called Pastors oh ye professional Pastors! God called Pastors and God Fearing Pastors can be rich, Not every Pastor is a criminal! Okay? Well then, I rest my case.

You mean a whole city deserve that kind of punishment? In ondo city, we only have one area enjoying steady Electricity "Ayeyemi community," the rest of us suffer from your injustice supply. Of course we'll still have to pay, even government offices including BEDC offices uses Generator to do their daily task. Its an offence! its a crime! You are extorting us. Now everyone is going for expensive solar system including the poor. May God punish you as a company. You mean someone should work a whole year and use the savings to purchase a solar system because you lack honor and integrity? You want us to keep fueling our generator everyday so we can finish all our income? You think 3hrs electricity is enough? You even make sure we are out to work before bringing your useless low current so we can go to work untidy and to come back home to meet our freezer partially cold? BEDC IS A COMPLETE SCAM!!!

Before now I use to believe BEDC is just a company filled with incompetent staffs; but recently I have come to understand that is not the problem. BEDC is a company set to exploit the poor masses in Nigeria and a power distribution company in disguise. Guess what, you can't do anything with them. Nobody to report them to; they are the boss of the city even the government pay bills and still don't have light. If you don't have light nobody cares, they will still bring the bills. The only relationship between BEDC and their customers is the monthly bills. If only the Electricity they said they are distributing can be as consistent as their consistent monthly bills, there won't be need for this write up. I have never seen a company of people so useless and futureless. We are all suffering in my neighborhood. Ondo city in Ondo state is the worst hit. How can you charge people of a service you did not render? You give people low current and inconsistent in the supply of what you claim to be supplying. NEPA, PHCN, and then BEDC has failed Nigerians. I WANT TO BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE IN POWER ARE BEHIND YOU. People WITH NO PREPAID and people with the old meters you never attempted to read are your steady income. You merry with Nigerians money and expect to live long as a company? or as a people? What more can I say BEDC? Stop extorting Nigerians! Distribute electricity! You are not Bill distribution company "BBDC". Receive or borrow sense My dear!
