babeosisi:I know Christians suffering from things like this sir. While the power of regeneration in Christ can't be underscored, I must tell you regeneration is something to be embrased in knowledge which given someone's life to Christ doesn't address. I doubt if OP has not given his life to Christ already. In constrast, there are people who have gone through these stages and have seen people through these stages, let them render their help to him. There is a reason we are social beings, it's so we can lend helping hands to one another in practical ways. |
babeosisi:Sorry to burst your bubble. Those things don't work. |
pDudd:I swear. It's not even close. I think the guy is suffering from Paranoid Personality disorder given his unforgiven nature, and a bit of Schizoid affective disorder given his unusual quietness...which I believe is a form of defensive mechanism. @Op, there is not much you can do about it. What you need is not fighting it, you can't. But someone else can for you. Get yourself a girlfriend, or friends whichever you are cool with. Now what to do is put yourself in the open. Let them know who you really are. You don't have to hide any longer. That's what has been killing you. You are bearing the burden of not hurting someone with your lifestyle forgetting it becomes impossible to do so when those people know what you are capable. I have someone close that exhibits this traits, and to be sincere was causing a lot of friction and strain. No one understood why. I took it upon myself to research certain things because for all it's worth no one wants to be deliberately cause other pains, a reality I have learned about humans. Either circumstances make them so, or they are so by nature. So after my research I educate others about what's going on, and trust me everyone has been living happy thereafter because of understanding. What you need is people that understand you. It's the only solution. But there is no way they can understand if you keep hiding yourself. Tell you what I told a girl I made a friend of? "Hi, uhm... I had like us to be friends, but I'm afraid I may at the end hurt your feelings. So I had like to tell you about myself so you can make your own decision." We are still friends till today, and that was three years ago. |
Alpha001:Do you get suspicious of people scheming against you, have trust issues? |
OgbeniSamm:How? |
Alpha001:It's your default setting...and I'm forced to believe your anger and unforgiven nature is not something you can beat...just find a way to live by it. |
I see someone sharing his view here, nothing prophetical about it. |
Cestbon29:Then they are suffering from one personality disorder or the other |

Dear Friend Life comes hard, So take it slow and easy. Love comes flushing the heart, So be strong to prevent an heartbreak. I heard a funny clause. It's something someone said: Let's forget the past, he said; But memories are there for a reason dear. Forget not, but do well to forgive your past Learn from it and do well to sign a peace accord The past my dear is taunting Only if you try denying it. "We all have our past" Should not be your favourite line dear Though mistakes are inevitable Do your best nonetheless to improve yourself. Quality is in the taste, So make a good character your name. Rome is not built in a day agreed, But no one's going to wait forever. Learn to be quiet and not silenced There is wisdom in being clear on things Dark is not necessarily black Learn the difference between humbleness and powerlessness. Don't be the heart of the moment That shines to fade in a giffy Be the smile on a lovely face The kind that stays forever in the mind. You are unique in your own way dear, So don't start being someone else. The brightness of the day is lost, Only when it tries turning into night. Respect but never idolize anyone There is nothing okay in being a slave Some things in life are impossible Do well to acknowledge your limitations. Clarity dear is a useful tool Your purpose cannot be unveiled without it You can't whistle and breath simultaneously Life is one step at a time. "O dear, you are good in poetry." One of the lies I'd like you not to believe. Everyone in life seems perfect When they do things that comes easily to them. The sun burns brightly but die slowly Anger does that to your self control It's human to be angry I get But it's not when you are all the time. Be happy with what you are But not always with what you have Try to make peace with your own existence Only then can you sincerely cherish others. ©TheWalkingMinD, 2018 |
MORALS Down the drain it's gone The pure cloak of morals Nobody wears it anymore It's become food for the worms. Babies making babies Perverts paint it dating Adults nourish the toilet dish Gaping life out of the warm blood. One leg up A steaming one on the desk Purity lost so easily Everything done with no remorse Smart is the word for the culprits Dull for those who refrain Ja pa goes the phrase A mutiny against chastity. Yet came a question in the heart: How did we get here How better than animals are we When sacredness is now common sense. Not far-fetched is it The answer to the above: The loss of shame and the sense of guilt The normalization of everything as good. And there comes the stick of evolution The sweet song of humanity evolving Even though evolution goes up and not down Upgrading and never degrading. A goat with no hair is to be pitied Why cheer we then a girl who walks half naked? Fashion today is in craziness Or how does one explain crazy jeans? A new one is even on the street Her face hardly recognizable by any Taking up the name of discipline It's actually tyranny in disguise. No one challenges her in the day No one says a word about her In our home, schools and workplace She goes by the name verbal assault. She breaks and never builds She nags but never correct Found in a place she shouldn't In the mouth of our teachers and respected guardians And there is the hydra as well Our golden calf image built by us A feast hold daily us in its honour Our leaders drinking and eating to stupor. Two limbs, four limbs I should say it doesn't matter The difference reader is nowhere found in that Sense of worth, composure and ethics Are what distinguish man from animals alike Still we are better than animals In that we can if we want heal our ways For these things I write dear All and all are guilty as charged by some. © TheWalkingMinD, 2018 Contact: 07019933032 |

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I'm sorry for taking some of our time. For the introduction I'm a penultimate student of Biochemistry in one of the Federal University we have around; namely speaking Obafemi Awolowo University. We are by educational standard required to conduct what is popular called SIWES; a program specifically designed to give a fresh insight to the application of knowledge, which speaking of should kick start anytime soon. Judging from the profession in question, companies of interest should cut across Food companies; laboratories; breweries; and pharmaceutical companies. The problem now is of the aforementioned I have not a single name to pen down or submit my SIWES letter to. So I'm hoping if anyone here can I help with names and location of companies that fall under the named categories. I reside in Ondo State. |

Preshy561:Such a beauty plagued by the incurable disease of tribalism you are. I thought older generations are the only one in this, don't know there are young minds like yours advocating for nothingness. It's pathetic. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Hi, can we talk on WhatsApp? I'm a self made writer and poet, and I particularly don't think you lack the ability like you might have misjudged yourself. It's something you can do, like breathing—like walking. Like you just wrote the above piece. But you know, it's fine to conclude you lack the ability to put those ideas and lines down; it's what on a general basis gifted people always do: underestimate themselves. Zero eight one six four four eight five one one zero. Chat me up whenever you are convinced you are one of the rarely gifted poets and writers this generation needs. |

They Too Came They too came With smiles on their faces With hearts sharing compliments They came with their bible in hands. They too shook hands Allowing each other palm to grind tightly They too shared hugs With loved ones and friends around. They too entered the church And sat among joyful souls In those white plastic chairs In those golden chairs around the pulpit. They too listened And sang when the time came by They too danced And said to God we give praise. They too closed eyes And held hands to pray To pray alongside eager soul Waiting to let out a thunderous shout. They too tickled on the clock And did the countdown They too shouted happy new year Even though it was their last. . PROFESSOR AJIBADE A SHORT STORY BY OLUSANYA OLALEYE(WalkingMind) He is one educated unenlightened professor of hypocrisy, and you can always know him with his beer extended stomach. Unnaturally tall and quite huge, he's got an hippopotamus head on his polar bear neck. He is extensively brilliant, and he is such a man you will call a genius. He comes to classes with his marker all smiles and cheerful howbeit with a bitter soul. He was supposed to take the class BCH202, a course code for Introduction to Cell Biology. The course was a general course and so all the life sciences were offering it with exception being students from zoology department. The class was unusually full that morning, owning to the inconspicuousness of the lecture theatre. The news of the fierceness of the course had reached ashore so students had to settle their buttocks for the walkway, even the fashionistas. Those who couldn't sit stood, and those who couldn't stand sat. Everyone was waiting for Prof. Ajibade to come. "Today," Prof. Ajibade was saying five minutes later, "we shall continue from where we stopped last week..." Prof. Ajibade spoke with annoying patience, unhurried, as though time was his to control and command. His voice was unstrained but his eyes astringent. He explained the topic of discussion painstakingly and then dictated some notes for the class. He was a young man, but he dictated like father Abraham. "Like I said, this class is going to have an extra one hour. A compulsory obligated one hour. If you like you can leave, but if you love yourself you will wait. Because if you don't, I am going to take the attendance. And when I do, and your name is not found on it, I can very much well assure you you will take this course next year. You can dare me, and you will see what principle means." There were no voice of aspersions on the professor's announcement. Professors in that department are taken to be gods of men, capable of doing and undoing so no one was ready to play the scape goat even if it meant a violation of rights and privileges. John was there, but he never spoke until it was Eleven O'clock, when the class was supposed to be originally over. "Excuse me please, I will need to pass." John said to his seatmates who were staring at him. "Hey! Gentleman, why are you disturbing the peace of the class?" Prof. Ajibola voiced his concerns. "I'm not disturbing the peace of the class sir. I am taking my leave." John answered like he never spoke. Prof. Ajibola allowed him. "What's your name boy?" He asked after him at the door. "John sir." "Alright John. Do yourself a favour. Be sure to register this course again next session. I will make sure you score a 10F in this course." John response threw the whole class into confusion. He laughed hysterically. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said. "But if you insist, Sir," he said with alter disrespect, "you can inform your family of your obituary. Because I can assure you as well you are having less than an hour to live." The class was thrown into disbelief at the words of John. They couldn't believe what he just said. None of them could stand up either to run after him to persuade him to retract his words. Everyone was afraid of the unmoved Prof. Ajibade. John left the class without much of a looking back, and Prof. Ajibade continued his lecturing. "Which department is that boy?" Prof. Ajibade asked with masked atavistic concerns two minutes to the promised time. "Microbiology." The whole class chorused. "Oh, I see. It can only be microbiology. Because in Biochemistry we don't nurture nuisance. Anyway, for those... for those..." The news was soon all over the campus. WhatsApp pages would have headlines as "Hale And Hearty Professor Slumped Dead After Dead Threat By Student." National Dailies had their shares, as did The Tribune. The Professor's death became a hot topic of discussion in the media. A lot was USAID and discussed. Emphasis were laid on the tyranny of most professors and lecturers in tertiary institutions. Their tyranny and sadism damming the hope and future of many undergraduates. Much was said but nothing was done to John. There was no evidence to the effect. John wrote his examinations and passed excellently, as did his friends. Contrary to expectations, the sadistic colleagues of deceased Prof. Ajibade in the department never showed their face. The death of Prof. Ajibade somehow marked the end of sadism in the department of Biochemistry, and other departments soon followed suit till sadism and academic tyranny became history in the history of All Hardwork University, AHU. "No one can deny me success after sleepless nights of hard work. God will strike such a person down. Prof. Ajibade sadly was a good start." John told The Sun Newspaper. I think it was around 11AM today I came upon this topic on the front page (Check the link right below). And I said I will pass because the thread as at that time had spanned pages to make any meaningful contribution to the issue at hand. https://www.nairaland.com/4223723/pastor-adeboye-prays-death-relatives However checking in again, there again yet is another thread on the same topic, this time spearhead by the now nicknamed YYPN (Yahoo Yahoo Pastors Nightmare). Here is the link to topic. https://www.nairaland.com/4224116/daddy-freeze-eldee-react-pastor For a start, I, on a personal note has always commended Daddy Freeze for being bold enough to break lose from the mental cage of imagined consequences that come along with challenging Men of God on matters of doctrines and teachings. And it's a thing commendable that he made as epicentre the topic of Tithe which has for many years past been the well of exploitation for these Men of God. But, when it comes to a matter of what Christ said, such as the scripture being incessantly quoted by fellow nairalanders and most Nigerians, a point of difference exist to prevent us all from making mockery of ourselves in the quest of establishing some sort of already known truth. Before I continue I think it's important to categorically say I'm not a fan of religion. And those who know me will actually testify to this. So and therefore, any assumption of a sponsored posts can with freedom be humbly disposed. Love your enemies and pray for those who persecutes you seems much to be the statement of Christ everyone has been quoting to crucify Pa Adeboye's prayer point. Since this is a statement of Christ himself it will not be only appropriate to see his views in regard to the subject matter, but helpful to clarify certain misconception as to what loving and praying for one's enemies truly means. Follow up. It is a fact well known but readily dismissed that scriptural interpretation is unilateral, unambiguous. That is, can only have one interpretation. And since the problem here is less than a question of source (Christ as the source is valid) and more of interpretation, the problem of contradiction in terms of words and actions can be easily resolved referencing referenced subjects by the source. That is those places Christ himself make reference to the word 'enemy' which happens to be the root of contradiction here. If we can answer the question of who an enemy is, to condemn or to approve Pa Adeboye's prayer point becomes a task we can then, with confidence do with no fear of trespassing. Read on. The case I will be referencing is the well known parable of the sower. This is because it paints the picture well with characters. But to do this I will draw a simple analogy to the parable of the good Samaritan. Also well known. Christ in the parable of the good Samaritan presents a view that stripes the definition of who a neighbour is of any form of spirituality and bestowed on it total physicality. In short, in Christ view, there was nothing spiritual in the interpretation of who a neighbour is to Christ. And so when he said love your neighbour, he is not expecting us to show love in a spiritual manner, but show love in every form of physicality; financially, counselling, and encouragement. The opposite will go for praying for our enemy. Christ view and definition of who and what an enemy is such that is stripped of any form of physicality but clothed in spirituality. This is quite evident in the parable of the sower which I need not narrate again. To Christ an enemy is not that person that will stop you from progressing in life. An enemy is not that person that will derive joy from nothing else but your downfall. It is not that village witch that will see you dead by sunrise, neither is it that arm robber that will see your vault emptied overnight. Rather, an enemy to Christ as described in the parable of the Sower is that person that will stand to oppose the gospel of life, that person that will prey on the indecisiveness of people to persuade them to not believing in God's goodness. It is that person that will tempt others to Sin. An enemy to Christ, is that person that will persecute the truth of life we stand for in Christ. Thus, when Christ says pray for your enemies, these are the people he have in mind. It is good that we questions things. But it is bad to be adamant in the light of revelations. Praying for one's enemies does not, and has never included the village witches trying to kill you. It has never involved that person that will see you dead. Whether we like it or not, the truth of the matter is whether or not we pray those prayers God is still going to protect us anyway, a protection of which does not guarantee in any way the safety of these set of wicked beings. Let's try and understand the scriptures by putting them into perspective of their various sources itself. Thank you all. God bless everyone. TheWalkingMind Cc: OAMJ4 |
