GrabHisBalls: The people saying there's no right age are either ignorant that there's a right age or simply saying that to console themselves. When you tell people there's no right age, your intention is to make them complacent with their achievements.
Age 20-30 is called the test and experimental age. Within this age bracket, you're getting your life figured out. Once you're above 30, your whole life should've been figured out. There's a clear difference between getting your life figured out, underachieving, and overachieving. You can have your life figured out and still be a late bloomer. Getting life figured out has nothing to do with achievements or goals and dreams rather the purpose of existence. It's reading meaning into this presupposed meaningless life we are blessed with. Basically, it's redefining life from a thing of us, to a thing me. Understanding life doesn't apply to us collectively but individually on the very basic level of existence. In other words, it's the answering of the why am I here, and what the hell am I here for. Not everyone gets to answer those questions. Like someone rightly said, less than 10% of the world population actually do. The larger percentage are asleep, and only a few are awake to self awareness. Your signature though, what's up with it? |

Christianity Etc › The Oneness Effect: Making Sense Of The Cross. by TheWalkingMind(op): 9:04am On Jun 30, 2019 |
One question has always beset my mind ever since I have earned the courage to think for myself. Not only think, but be honest and objective in my opinions and position on everything relating to everything. Questioning, probing, examining and evaluating my stance and opinions before presenting them as gospel truth to anyone who happens to be my listener, reader or audience. In lieu, most of the things you will be reading here today may or may have not be taught anywhere before, or may if taught conflict with everything you have known. In any case, bear in mind that this is not meant to change what you know nor establish a new truth in your heart rather, it's an attempt to further deepen and widen your understanding of the cross, whatever preexisting knowledge you have of it.
One question like I said have always beset my mind, and that's the question of the cross. This question comes in questions. In the form of what and why. What is the cross? And why is the cross?
From the beginning man was made in the very image of God i.e in the form of God. Having intellect, pure and independent in their decisions. The reason for creating man is naked and bare for every mind to see and understand: man was created to fill the earth with themselves. In other words, the creation of mankind is to have more of God on earth, not as a spirit but as a being, full flesh establishing a kingdom of righteousness: a pure race of divine being; a colonization of the earth by God. Which is why in the Lord's prayer Jesus taught the will of God be done on earth as it is done in heaven. In heaven, every existing being has that purity and form in them which makes heaven a kingdom of God. In the preceeding clause, Christ taught "let the kingdom come." In this clause lies the answer to the question of what and why of the cross. This when tied to everything you have heard or known gives a refreshing meaning to the cross, and the cross begin to make sense to you.
As established, the purpose of creating mankind is to replicate the kingdom of God on earth. In other words fill earth with Gods, not Gods as subjects or equal to the supreme God but oneness in mind, soul and vision with the supreme being we call God. This purpose we say exist in the mind of God was defeated in the garden of Eden when mankind deviated from that oneness of mind, soul and vision choosing their own path to acquire knowledge that are sacred. In the scriptures before the cross we see Christ say in multiple affirmations that him and the Father are one." This oneness exist in the terms of their unity in the mind, soul, and purpose. Even so when God spoke of a man becoming one with his wife, he spoke in these terms of unity(unity in mind, soul, purpose, and vision) which speaking of, mankind in his juvenile years failed to maintain and as such deviated from. As a consequence of action this suspended the grand plan of creation which is the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. The making of divine beings who are one in mind, soul, vision and purpose.
At the fall mankind inherited a nature of sin(This will be discussed in subsequent topics). In simple words mankind now have a tendency to further sway from that grand vision of God (which made God sorry to ever have created mankind). The action of man as we said suspended in temporariness God's plan of colonization, but God's plan cannot be thwarted. The kindgom of God will still be established on earth, just not through Adam and Eve.
In subsequent history of God's dealings with mankind we see the liveliness of this grand plan of colonization. From God designating a nation of people we know as Isreal, teaching and grooming them with one ultimate instruction: be the light to other nations. In context, this will be them teaching other nations what they have learned and known of God. The summary of the Laws of God given to the Isrealites is to one single effect which is comforming the Isrealites to the nature of God, to that oneness. So they can think like him, see as he sees, and do as he does. In essence, it's still that oneness in soul, mind, purpose and vision. Had the Isrealites accomplished this, God's kingdom would have been established on earth. But they failed, and there came the cross.
The cross from all said so far can be seen as God's grand plan of accomplishing his goal. Afterall, the best wine is kept for the main event. The cross then can mean the inconceivable means by which God sets in final motion the establishment of his kingdom. By inconceivable I mean the coming of God in person, taking as temple the body of Jesus as earthly dwelling, successful alligning by the means of this indwelling the thoughts, mind, actions and purpose of this man Jesus to his, by virtue successfully creating that oneness between a man and himself, bringing the assured possibility of achieving that oneness to all mankind. In this regard, the cross is where all humanity can be brought into the oneness of God. Afterall, if you can do it with one you can do it with others. More than this, the cross is the Christ, which is Jesus. This is so, because to him God has given the duty to bring to the oneness the whole of mankind (just as he gave Adam and Eve. Just as he gave the Isrealites), and the power to indwell in others and cause the oneness effect God by his indwelling in him causes in him.
So the cross is necessary to establish the kindgom of God here on earth. Which is you and I alligned to his purpose, in oneness with him. Having the mind of Christ, filling the earth with our righteous deeds, extending love to others, and teaching others everything we receive and learn about God. In essence conforming others to the purity we ourselves have witnessed in God. This is what the cross is all about: the establishment of God's kindgom on earth. And so, the remaining unanswered question is will you be part of this kingdom or not?

All though I don't really have a bad past but I don't want my guy to see me as bad girl even through he has his own. So I want your advice if Is it right to narrate my past to my partner?
Lalasticlala Mynd44 I think honesty is what is needed here, not to your spouse but to yourself. The claims made in the quoted are conflicting to say the least; worried about a past that is nothing close to being bad? The past of a man haunt him if kept as a secret; the path to freedom is only discovered in the thirst of a man for freedom. You need to make peace with your past by harmonizing it with your present. You really don't have to say it if not asked, but whenever the chance to talk about it presents itself, be sure to tell it as it is. Free yourself from your past. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Beware Of Social Media Because It Makes You Commit The Sin Of Coveteousness by TheWalkingMind: 9:32am On Jan 20, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: These days, almost everyone with access to the Internet is on social media. While people use the various platforms for good, they are still unaware that those platforms are capable of making them commit sin. Take Instagram for example, all we seen on the app are flashy lifestyle, wealth, success, excessive show off and oppression with riches. This has made many fall and commit sin without knowing. The sin they commit is covetousness.
Ephesians 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
When you see a celebrity like E-Money flaunt his Rolls Royce or mansion on social media, and you immediately start saying "I tap into your blessing", what you don't know is that you are committing sin. Some after they see the pictures of a celebrity's Banana Island mansion, they'll start saying "Baba God pick my call". God is not going to pick such a call coming from a mind tainted with sin because you are coveting what belongs to another man.
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.
Even admiring another man's wife for her hips and curves and wishing she was yours is also a sin.
Satan has sent his human agents into the world to confuse and deceive the children of God into committing sin. He knows he can't make them go to hell because they are saved already and would spend eternity with God, but he would love to see them get punished by their Father, God the Almighty.
Hebrews 12:6-7 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth , and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Satan's agents make us sin and susceptible to God's punishment. His agents are the ones whom you see posting pictures of themselves in private jets, 5 star hotels and are always quick to show off their newly acquired properties on social media. They have sold their soul to Satan, so the likes and positive comments you drop on their pages gives them this false sense that they didn't make the wrong decision in selling their soul to Satan.
Their stupid actions lure you into committing the sin of covetousness. When you see their fake smiles and photoshopped bodies on Instagram, you wish your life was as perfect as theirs. When they post pictures of themselVes enjoying life in Dubai, London, New York etc, you start to almost curse God for creating you in Nigeria where life is difficult. You forget that you live in a 3 bedroom well furnished apartment with lots of food to eat, while many sleep under the bridge. No, you want that mansion in Ikoyi, you want to rub shoulders with the Otedolas and Adelekes, you want to walk into a room and be worshipped. When someone drops a comment saying "vanity upon vanity", you slam the person by saying he has poverty mentality or he's jealous of wealthy people.
You are clearly on a path of pains and sorrow because covetousness makes you develop this desire to be rich. You immediately engage in any get rich quick scheme you can think of e.g Yahoo, Fraud, rituals, sports betting, robbery, forgery etc. All those things will hurt you in the long run. Look what the Bible says about they that will be rich and the horrible things which will befall them.
1 Timothy 6:9-11 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Do you think rich people are truly happy? No, they aren't, that's why they show off a lot to seek approval from coveteous people like you. They have sold their soul to Satan for riches and fame. They amass all the wealth they can think of but get depressed when they realize how worthless it is compared to the price they paid for it. When they come online to tell you that they are depressed don't be fooled to think it is due to stress. No, it is due to reality slapping them in the face. They get reminded every once in a while that they are still human and not God.
You see, Satan deceived Adam and Eve by telling them that if they eat the forbidden fruit, their eyes will become open, they will have the knowledge of good and evil and will become like God. Two of those promises got fulfilled but the one of becoming like God can never be fulfilled. Since man's eyes became open and had the knowledge of good and of evil, he has been on the search for the third promise from Satan, which is to be like God. Man wants to be worshipped, that's why you see these rich people and celebrities constantly showing off to get the praises of fellow men. They love it when they walk into a place and people start showing them respect and trying to take pictures with them. This makes them feel like a god, but once in a while when they step into a place and don't get the usual treatment, they feel depressed because it reminds them that they are still humans. That's why they clapback at comments criticising them on social media but smile at praises from people like you who covet their status. Guess what led them into making a deal with Satan? COVETEOUSNESS. Since you are a coveteous soul, then you are on your way to becoming like them - a soul seller.
Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Just last week, I saw a picture of Linda Ikeji posing in her closet where she had different designer bags racked up. I can bet that she hasn't used most of them since she bought them probably two years ago. Each of those bags cost nothing less than 500K. Imagine spending that much just because you want to carry tissue paper, your phone's and perhaps food. It's ridiculous what these people do with money. To her, the bags are a great achievement. Look at the late Dora Akinyuli and all her awards. Do you think those awards matter to her now in the grave? Is riches really worth the sorrow and pains you will face to acquire it and when you have acquired it?
One thing you need to know is that Satan is never happy with a rich man, whether he gave the riches to you or God did. Look at Job in the Bible who was blessed abundantly by God. Satan wasn't happy about it. God will only give you riches if he knows your heart will always be for him no matter what, just as Job never cursed God when he became broke and filled with diseases. Job was a righteous man
Why did God bless job abundantly? Read the below verse.
Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
To be blessed like Job, you have to do the exact same things he did which made him a righteous man. You have to seek the kingdom of God first.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. There is much to be concerned with in life than the consciousness of sin. Not to say the concept of sin is over amplified. Just live your life as humanly as possible. |

UyaiIncomparabl: Why am I so unemotional? I mean, nothing hardly interests my fancy. Just this morning, I've received countless 'Yuletide's' greetings from acquaintances and close friends, but I haven't even deemed it fit to return the texts nor the calls. I intentionally rejected two calls from unknown persons who I know were calling to wish me a Merry Christmas. Nothing ever interests me.
I'm not even turned on/elated of the fact that today is Christmas. Seeing people passing by and chanting at the top of their voices 'Eku Odun' or 'Merry/Happy Christmas my sister' really irks me a lot. I wonder what the whole fuss is all about!
I mean, I've just been trying to force myself to reply people who've been disturbing my ears to the ongoing celebration, and in actuality, I don't even mean it.
I remember warning someone yesterday never to wish me anything else I block him. How sad!
Now, the whole summary of my post is, I'm not fun-seeking. I'm too rigid. I'm never elated at any celebration. I don't go to see movies. I hate eateries. The mall scares me. I tell off the few friends I have, but they understand my madness and they keep returning. I hardly get moved if someone is even dying. I always find faults in everything.
Am I mentally deranged or totally normal? Am I a sadist? Why am I so unemotional? Right now, my mind is filled with strife. I truly agree now and think that I need mental help. I think I'm a psycho. You are not alone. Welcome to the family. |
