TV/Movies / Re: 1000 Ways To Die by thewarlord: 2:04pm On Jun 27, 2012
the show is da bomb.my wife loves that show.
one time they had this stupid man who crossed dressed as a hooker with stiletto heels on,
he had his girlfriend handcuff him on his waterbed.
after a round of sex,the girlfriend went to the outer room to have a sniff of coke, and promptly passes out
my main man, having gotten tired of the cuffs starts yelling for the girl to unlock him.
in his throes, the stiletto heels pierce the water bed and he drowns in his own bed.
Celebrities / Re: Why Do Nigerian Guys Dislike Wizkid? Candid Opinion Needed!!! by thewarlord: 2:59pm On Jun 20, 2012
personally i dont hate whizkid,i don't like him either!
i think it stems from the fact that he chose a musical career rather than a good qualitative education.
i believe he should seriously ask himself....where would i be in 10 yrs? will i still be relevant in contemporary music.
many of our so called music icons forget that a strong solid education is the bedrock to a successful life.
Lots of foreign musicians that we love, idolate and copy are actually graduates or have advanced levels of education(do you think the Dr in Dr Dre is for fun?).why cant we copy that side?
whizkid in my book would have ruled if he kept to his studies, albeit part time if possible, graduate and then focus on his career. When his music odyssey finally comes to an end(they all do)he would have something to build on.
finally the sex-tape(true or false?)was the final straw that broke the camels back. if it was him,a real shame...

no you dont....as for the missed classes..it doesn't matter as long as u have your 5 credits
as for the prison records...it means if u were an ex-convict,u have to show ur conviction records, the police report is for non convicts

Travel / Re: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by thewarlord: 6:18pm On May 23, 2012
thanks temmytanny for your insightful answers to my questions, but question 1 is still not clear....

if i'm not mistaken the 5 credits must include english and maths...the 6 credits i have dont include english. the other exam i wrote was a foreign one written in Nigeria here....will the CO take that as a bonafide result in nigeria here?
Travel / Re: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by thewarlord: 6:49am On May 23, 2012
I'll like to express my thanks to all contributors to this forum....though i didn't win the DV2013(entry was not selected),I'm very much interested in the processes that takes place...
i have a couple of questions i would love the honourable forumites to answer me.

1. part of the requirements needed is having 5 credits at O levels,be it WAEC,NECO GCE... but i have 6 credits in WAEC(no English) and 5 credits in University of Cambridge O Levels(written in Nigeria)..my question is..can i combine those two results to make up my 5 credits ?

2. The police report u have to get at alagbon...is it for the winner alone or both of them(wife) if married?

3. Does children(3 and 1.7)need their individual passports or will they use their parents' passports when issued visa?

4. For a winner who is married...will the couple receive separate yellow envelopes to be delivered to immigration at P.O.E or issued just one?

thank you for ur anticipated answer

maintain eye contact, dont act too subservient, have real documents....
avoid i too know or giving out info not asked of you....be confident and if you dont know the answer to a question, try to formulate one, particularly if it concerns your graduate studies...odds are the co may not know it too

it's going to be a long wait, till new year
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Lafarge Interview by thewarlord: 2:07pm On Sep 15, 2010
@onyeoka: you will face two separate panels of interviewers, hr and technical
hr will focus on your past work experience, projected salary remuneration, availability etc,
technical will go in-depth to your skill level, technical expertise and so on, it will consist of whites, so open your ears a little wider.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Lafarge Wapco/dragnet Aptitude Test by thewarlord: 1:59pm On Sep 15, 2010
it is at this point i will ADVISE anyone who went for the interviews not to give up hope completely,
the lakatabu project IS massive and will need a lot of technical peeps,so we all can be called up
the take off will take some time(insider source)maybe before christmas or at best early next year, so do not lose your sims cards or switch off your cellphones,
these people don't joke with their business, jegbadon can testify to that,
even to make it to the interview stage after that mob at chams?
don't be like the 5 foolish virgins!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Lafarge Wapco/dragnet Aptitude Test by thewarlord: 3:26pm On Aug 30, 2010
the crowd at chams was massive that day,

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Lafarge Wapco/dragnet Aptitude Test by thewarlord: 6:49am On Aug 23, 2010
i got reliable info about the 2 weeks, so better keep your fingers crossed.
i believe other sectors will be called up for interview
that place is massive so a lot of proffessional people will be selected
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Lafarge Wapco/dragnet Aptitude Test by thewarlord: 3:13pm On Aug 18, 2010
@jegbadon, i was also at ewekoro for the interview,,though i can't place yor name with the face,
i believe the cut off was about 40% cos most of us there were 40% upwards and engineering based,
how did you enjoy the coffee?
a little bird told me hr will contat us within two(2)weeks.
so keep your mobile phone on.
Travel / Re: Near-Crash As Bird Strikes Abuja-Bound Dana Air Plane by thewarlord: 5:07am On Apr 21, 2010
bird strike has been known to bring down aeroplanes, very serious stuff.
planes are very susceptible to birds or any flying debris around the engine area.
plane engines use a thrust propelling system whereby air is sucked in great volumes and compresssed out in greater force.
the fan blades and nozzles are only designed for air,so when a bird is sucked in during takeoff or during flight,it damages the engines, however most planes have two engines, most transatlantic aeroplanes have four, the probability of birds hitting all four is highly improbable.

though palnes are designed to fly for short periodswith a single engineit must however land as soon as possible.continuing to fly will burn out the other, kudos should be given to the nigerian pilot who was cool headed and did what he had to do.people believe that as a pilot, you deserve no praise when you perform an incredible feat of bravery and heroism.Capt Chelsey Sullenberger is a national hero in US.he's been flying planes for over 30 yrs,yet 2009 and US airways flight 1549 was his defining moment,

the dana pilot should be commended similarly for his actions, but knowing the nigerian system, the man would have probably been blamed for not checking the sky clearly for birds before taking off!
Health / Re: Hazy Air In Your Area? Dust Storm? by thewarlord: 7:30pm On Mar 23, 2010
at agidingbi here in lagos, the smog is really bad, visibility is at abt 30ft or less.i don't think this is harmattan cos it hotter and the dust is really pronounced.even with the ac,the dust and smell seems to get thru, abt this acid rain thing, any ideas as to the precise time this will occur? don't want to get bathed.

Romance / Re: Is It Proper For My Girlfriend To Sleep In A Guys House? by thewarlord: 9:54am On Feb 07, 2010
thats the oldest trick in the book.if she really respected you,she would have borne the midnight heat and slept in her own place.having passed thru the corper experience,i believe most babes do have a substitute guy to hang on to during their corper days ditto for guys, pity she had to reveal hers to you. on the flip side, she may have nothing with the guy and it happened just as she said.
still the onus is on you to prove or disprove her loyalty to you.but better err on the side of caution and be wary of her,cos she may have being sharing her pussy with a corper that will gladly dump her once national duty is over.

and finally we don't need to know about your fucking duplex.
