An Indian family was reportedly picnicking after a wedding when they were caught by rushing floodwaters and swept away.

Of the 19 family members caught in the flooding, at least five are confirmed dead or missing, including four young children. The newlywed couple survived.

According to the footage, the nine family members stood together when the rushing waters caught them unawares and started sweeping them one at a time. Despite brave attempts by witnesses to rescue them with tree branches, their efforts sadly proved unsuccessful.
