Griffon:Young Palmer of just yesterday don already get version lol. Next we will have Euro Palmer, April Palmer etc. Maybe he needs a Maresca 2024 software update .Doesn't mean I disagree with your general point though. |
What happened here! First page only 2 comments? Was there a nuclear war of comments or something cos the deleted comments plenty pass remaining ones lol. Thank God for the safe rescue by the security teams. This kidnapping menace needs to be taken seriously by the security authorities just like they did with the protests. With that same level of effort, kidnapping will be history in Nigeria |
BlaqFaze:He's cancelled. Meanwhile, Mallorca made my night. Successfully hate-watched Gbambappe & co. Title race don start already. |
Jokerman:Methinks it was a shade at both the Nigerian relay team and Chidimma Adetshina. That stay your lane comment aptly applies to both circumstances when you also consider the recent timing of these events. The reference to Tinubu seems forced mostly by anti-Tinubu sentiments in Nigeria. Ramaphosa at least tried to correct the impression at the time by personally visiting Tinubu directly. Also the timing gap makes it unlikely that the dig was aimed at Tinubu. Regardless, Ramaphosa's comment was very petty and unbecoming of a President. It's like if Akufo-Addo or Tinubu starts throwing shades over the Nigeria-Ghana banters. It should be beneath them. |
@ OP, networth is not only by the values of their shares. You didn't consider their cash, houses and many other personal assets as well as deducting their liabilities before you arrive at the true networth. |
oliverano:Lol seriously I believe the GK department is the easiest role in football to get good quality for cheap. There are tons of very good ball playing GKs better than MATS that are playing second fiddle to the first choices all across Europe. Flick needs to open his eyes and prioritize this. |
andrewbaba44:Liverpool's style is very physically demanding with the heavy metal, press and fast transition whatever. Don't you think Zubi with his calmer though more technical disposition might struggle with that? |
Mhistaedie01:Bro abeg indulge my pettiness but no be outshine you suppose use cos somebody that didn't watch the match fit interpret am say both GKs shine but one shine pass the other. Ter Static no get any shine kankan. Na disgrace the Milan keeper use am do. |
Ijustwantto:Even the best strikers still miss glaring chances. It's the ability to always eventually right those misses that stands them apart. That said, note that I used the term "seems" for Lewy. So the jury is still out. |
Seriously, that 19 year old Milan keeper put Ter Static to shame. It seems there's no way back for him at this point. The intensity from the team in the second half is something I rarely saw with Xavi at the helm. Even Lewy seems to be cooking again. Pau Victor and Cassado were brilliant as usual. Overall, the signs look good. |
Praxis758:It's not an academic loss. I'm sure what you meant to say is that it's an unrealized loss. If they were to sell off their shares today, the financial loss will be a reality, hence it isn't academic. If the stock market rebounds and they record gains, such gains are also unrealized until they offload the shares. |
Kilishihunter:You are right. It's more of the 08/09 kit. But making the shorts dark rather than blue was a huge hit for me and makes it cooler than 08/09. |
andrewbaba44:This bros sef na enemy of progress. Working like a sloth and earning like a bloated whale. Shouldn't he have gotten the memo by now? Na until fans go physically drag am comot from the club. At least Lewy still dey try put in some effort and he can remain as a decent back up. And I also appreciate his initial sacrifices in joining Barca from Bayern. |
abduleez1:It's actually quite beautiful. The combo patterning just sits right and I particularly like the dark hue for the blue segment. It resembles the 2012/2013 season version a bit in my view maybe because it was the last one I really liked. cc: kilishihunter

Worst opening Olympic ceremony of our generation. Only Celine Dion and the hot air balloon in honor of the Montgolfiers saved it from being a total disaster. |
andrewbaba44:I just need him to have more stamina like Gavi and he will cook so well. He gasses out a bit too quickly. |
andrewbaba44:He reminds me of Lampard in EPL. He will shine well in these U-23s. |
Bombblacks:You are just playing ostrich or missing the point entirely! The point is not whether Christianity, Islam or any other religion is true or not. The realness is that there are billions of people who ardently follow these beliefs and are stakeholders in the Olympic event. Why would you then depict a picture that appears to mock a section of them? Pray tell, why are the French promoting Dionysus a Greek character in a French Olympic when we already had Athens 2004 to do that, if there was no hidden agenda to use it as a smokescreen for the mockery of the Last Supper. Olympic hosts celebrate their treasures and dont go after other countries own. You do not seem to understand cultural sensitivity in a globally diverse setting. There are lines you don't cross publicly regardless of your personal beliefs. |
Bombblacks:You are comparing apples and oranges. The Harry Potter sphere is a subject of fandom not religion. Same as James Bond, Avengers, Mr Bean & co. Your analogy is fiction just like Harry Potter. Religion is real on the other hand. As a smart person in a global ecosystem, you have to be emotionally and culturally sensitive especially when what you are showcasing will impact billions across diverse races and religion. Surely this is not an alien concept to you. The Greeks put halos around their gods. The French did not put any halo around the supposed greek God Dionysus but instead put it on the fat lady "Jesus". Stop denying the obvious. Just look at the reaction generated below. Why will you allow an event like Olympic that's supposed to unite globally degenerate into controversy?
|
neztar:You are just helping me to make my point. Thankyu. |
Bombblacks:It's Dionysus in form, Xtianity in substance. Even the Greeks are complaining that it doesn't look anything like Dionysus. Elon Musk, several global Media outlets, Fox News, Daily Mail have all reported the apparent impression of the act making a mockery of Christians. Do you think they are all just cooking it up? What does the fat Lady in the middle with a halo-like crown imply? Is that not reminiscent of the popular halo on Jesus in the painting by Leonardo da Vinci? I'm not angry, I'm just saying that it was unnecessary from the organizers knowing the most obvious impression and controversy it will generate.

Na overwokeness go kill France abi Europe sef. Why mock christianity so blatantly with a satirical parody of the last supper in front of the entire world? Can they try that with the other main religion and not see a global backlash of unimaginable proportions? The entire ceremony was just a mish-mash parade of elujibiti kiu ideology. Na only women dem celebrate for their history. I thought it supposed to be a gender-balanced agenda not gender-monopoly. Paris 2024 really fall hand. London 2012 was the bomb especially the James Bond grand entrance from a parachute off a Chopper. Mr Bean's performance too was great. Now that's authenticity. |
RaptorX:It is actually. A satirical mockery of the last supper painting of Leonardo Da Vinci. If you watched the ceremony yesterday, you'd see where the Elujibiti kiu people were in a plate that was uncovered in front of the fat woman "Jesus" along with her 12 "disciples". It was in blatantly bad taste. I cannot imagine them mocking Islam in same way in front of the whole world without backlash of unimaginable proportions. Yesterday's ceremony was infused with too much wokeness. Literally stuffing it right down people's throats. Too much of everything is bad. There should be a balance. |
I'm in support. Many people were threatening fire and brimstone when asking Govt to pay 250k minimum wage thinking it was only going to affect public workers. Now they are changing mouth. Pls maintain same energy in ensuring your private/domestic workers earn the same wage. |
andrewbaba44:Sad thing is that Diaby's performance levels may likely drop since there's almost zero challenge to prove yourself in Saudi as long as the mad funds keep rolling in. |
Ijustwantto:Yeah, Messi has a case as best ever player at 19 with those goat-worthy moments, but it's hard to argue against De Lima who won world best for his exploits at same age. Scored 47 goals including some blistering blinders for Barca. |
andrewbaba44:Of course. My take on best players at every age: 16 yrs - Yamal 17 yrs - Pele 18 yrs - Rooney/Mbappe 19 - 20yrs - Fenomeno 21 - 25 yrs - Messi 26yrs - Maradona 27yrs - Messi 28yrs - G. Muller 29yrs - Pele 30yrs - Pendu 31yrs - Messi 32 - 33yrs - Pendu 34yrs - Zidane/Messi 35yrs - Messi 36yrs - Pendu 37yrs - Messi 38yrs - Zlatan 39-40yrs - Buffon 50yrs++ - Pendu |
Unlimited22:Possibly but Owen's France 98 exploits come close as well. In fact one can argue that his performance vs Argentina in the SR was superior to any of Rooney's at Euro 04. Only that Rooney was more consistent in more matches. |
kendrick93:Rooney at 16 was a prodigy but he wasn't getting as much minutes as Yamal at same age. At 17, he became a regular starter for Everton but didn't have Yamal's current hype until he exploded at Euro 2004. By that summer he was the hottest U-20 property in world football and lived up to hype with a mad hatrick on his UCL debut with Man U. |
Ibime:Oh boy, see projection. Go and say this in court and see how the judge will throw out you and your submission in seconds. You have absolutely no evidence that what you said happened. Shey Messi don become omnipresent ni abi because they call him the football god is getting to you? Messi has cautioned his teammates before. But that one no do you enough and you still went ahead to project that he condones such songs. Make them accuse you of crime when you no dey there no be cruise matter. Face your Enzo and leave the GOAT alone. |
It's just football banter although in bad taste. Even recently Thuram called his teammate Mbappe a turtle face during a press conference in a light hearted mood. Mbappe just laughed it off. I'm sure Messi was not involved since he was absent from the bus. That said, I see some pained mofos are using this incident to wail about Messi's Copa win. Wetin concern agbero with overload, shey na Messi dey sing am? Or does it remove from his GOAT status. |
