Marriage is life-changing and can be destructive if it is embarked on with the wrong person. You have to be absolutely sure that the woman in your life is someone you’ll be happy spending time with every day of your life, forever. Here are some signs that your girlfriend will make a good wife… 1. She’s Nurturing A woman who will make a good wife has to be caring and nurturing. She’s going to be majorly responsible for the well-being of you and your children. She should be kind and compassionate, willing to take care of others without grumbling. You cannot nurture a grouch,so the man himself must deserve nurturing 2. She’s Dependable A great wife should be someone you can trust and rely on. She should be someone who will support her man no matter what, someone you know you can count on, come rain, come shine. You must in return be loving ,caring ,appreciative and show it,you don’t expect what you don’t give 3. She’s Respectful Disrespect is one of the major causes of marital dysfunction. The woman you decide to marry should respect you no matter what. She should respect your family and your friends, even if she doesn’t like them. She should be a respectful person all round. 4. She’s Humble A proud woman will encourage grudges and nothing destroys relationships faster than malice. The ideal wife should be able to apologize even when she isn’t in the wrong. If you lack the same qualities may baba God pair you with a wife just like you 5. She Must Be Emotionally Stable The woman you decide to marry should be stable emotionally and otherwise. An emotionally unstable woman can’t handle the pressures of marriage. She should be mature and know how to handle situations without constantly losing her cool. You don’t want to marry a woman who will break down in tears over every little challenge. If you expect a non emotional spouse ,then you picked the wrong gender for a wife, find a man like yourself 6. She Must Love Children The ideal wife should love children. She should like to have them around her and willing to play with them always. This is a sign that she’ll be capable of taking care of the family you build together. 7. She Must Be A Good Cook She doesn’t have to be a chef but a great wife should be able to feed her family. She must be able to cook good food and not just Noodles.. You know some babes can’t boil water. 8. You Both Should Have A Lot In Common It can be the same kind of music or the same hobbies or even just a love of books. If there are things you both like to do, that’s a good sign you are entering a marriage of happiness and longevity. 9. She Must Be Comfortable To Communicate With There is nothing more important in a relationship than communication, and if you are considering making it official by marrying her, you have to feel comfortable talking with her about any and everything. The more you communicate with your woman, the less likely the two of you will get into arguments because you both will be able to talk about your problems instead of holding them in. 10. You Can Laugh Together Mutual laughter is an essential component of a strong and healthy marriage. Romance is much better if you can see humour in the little things and can have a laugh together. Above all, you must remember that there’s no such thing as a perfect person so there can’t be a perfect wife. Love is about accepting that person you’ve chosen even with all their flaws and deciding to love them no matter what. What other qualities do you consider necessary for an ideal wife? |
A Lagos based Lawyer and Human Rights Activist, who is internationally recognised for his efforts in the fight against corruption and impunity, Femi Falana, has faulted the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, over the involvement of the Department of State Security Service, DSS, in the investigation of the alleged padding of the 2016 budget, by the leadership of the House of Representatives. Falana, in a statement, described the action of the DSS, as an “usurpation of the statutory duties of the Police and the anti-graft agencies”. The legal icon, said the DSS lacks both moral and legal justification to investigate matters that are not threatening to the internal security of the country. He said: “Having regard to the recent activities of the DSS, and the clear provisions of the relevant laws on investigation of corruption and other economic and financial crimes, the DSS lacks the moral right and legal powers to interfere in the investigation of the criminal allegation of padding of the budget in any manner whatsoever. “Having just arrested and detained the principal officers and administrative staff of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, for having the temerity to embark on the impeachment of Governor Mohammed Yari, on grounds of alleged corrupt practices, the DSS cannot be trusted with the investigation of the monumental scandal, which is currently rocking the House of Representatives. “More importantly, by virtue of the provisions of the National Security Agencies Act, the powers of the DSS, are strictly limited to the ‘preservation and detection within Nigeria, of any crime against the internal security of Nigeria.” He added, “Since the padding of the national budget is a straight forward case of economic crime, which is not concerned with the internal security of the nation, the DSS should not play into the soiled hands of the criminal suspects in the House of Representatives, as they may later turn round to challenge the legal validity of any criminal charge arising from a faulty investigation report. “The DSS is alleged to have usurped the statutory duties of the Police and the anti-graft agencies, by taking over the investigation of the padding of the budget. Based on the illegal decision to take over the investigation, the DSS is reported to have sealed off the office of the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee of the House of Representatives. The Police and the anti-graft agencies should be allowed to get to the root of the criminality of budget padding in the National Assembly”. Falana, also asked that the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, be compelled to set out the details of the 2016 budget of the National Assembly, in order to facilitate and accelerate the investigation. He also pointed out that the investigation must be extended to involve, “alleged criminal diversion of over N300 billion, via constituency projects, purportedly executed by past and serving federal legislators”. Falana, declared that a thorough investigation be carried out, and all the indicted suspects be charged to court, while the funds allegedly stolen by them, be recovered. “The top civil servants who colluded with the legislators to alter the 2016 National Budget, should be handed over to the Police and anti-graft agencies for investigation and prosecution. This is the time to stop looting of the treasury through the padding of the budget by civil servants, ministers and legislators,” he concluded.

Linda Ikeji, celebrity blogger, has admitted that she’s under “intense pressure” to find a husband. The famous blogger spoke on the subject— “Pressure To Marry Before 30″, alongside two other women, in a recent feature on Genevieve Magazine. She said; “Marriage is not an achievement. There is so much more to life than being someone’s wife”. “I don’t know how many of you single girls are under pressure to get married but I am. Pressure from family, friends and people who just can’t mind their business. “The pressure is so intense right now I feel like going to husband market – if there is any such thing- to buy myself some breathing space. Give me a break you people.” “Get married please, but don’t be pressured into it”. She added.
