You are confusing choice with the lack of it. Bro's, i grow up for Naija small na. Nigerians don't have a choice. You know what? i take it back. Nigerians have a choice of eating crap and smiling about it or eat it and don't smile. Are you telling me you choose to not to have power all year round? you chose to not to have gas for extended periods of time? you choose to drive on bad roads? you choose not to have security? come on man, you aren't talking to a toddler you know. For choice to work, you have to have it. American's have numerous choices at their disposal for success; it's either you take it or you don't.
actually, you are the one getting it twisted.. poverty has nothing to do with infrastructure.. you think about infrastructure after you are out of poverty.. (same way you think about food first before property) there are many choices to move out of poverty in Nigeria but I don't get why those poor beggars just don't take it... (eg education, there is free education in Nigeria and some scholarship programs for tertiary schools if you are brilliant enough.... there are vocational centers where people can get vocational skills in some states in Nigeria..
now before we go off topic, point is, if this things are as easy as you painted it, everyone would ride.. although iI agree some people are lazy but still doesn't change that fact it's not bed of roses .. e. g you have to be accepted in a school before you can atleast request for a loan in America or anyone can just walk into the institution that grants loan and request for it? besides, not everyone will be educated and the mortgage Americans will give you is to live normal American life and way out of poverty but not make you live American dream.. but with 20million naira, you can live Nigerian dream if you maintain it wisely.

If you understand the way america is then you'll understand. Yes they chose. Why am i not homeless. They were born there. So why couldn't they do what i did? At least you have to consider that i went there with nothing. Think. Don't just argue for the sake of it. Google won't help you in this instance. You have to live it to understand it.
you know I could say the same for Nigeria right? whenever I see beggars on the street, I ask myself, why can't these people be like me? why couldn't they do what I did..

I don't know how else to say this. IT IS NOT LUCK BUT MY PERSONAL CHOICES. i CHOSE. iT IS NOT LIKE IT IS A BIG SECRET. EVERYONE IN AMERICA KNOWS IT BUT THEY CHOSE A DIFFERENT ROUTE.
so those homeless bigger chose to be homeless beggars? interesting.

You are going back to what i said originally. within six months or arriving i had quality accommodation, vehicle, medical and life insurance and already began my masters. it all depends on your choices. Some people wanted to drive cabs/clean toilet etc i chose a different route.
and you can also boast of personal money within that six months? .. well not everyone will be as lucky as you.. congratulations.

I really am trying to be patient with you because you are talking out of ignorance. On your point about why everyone is not doing it, well you have to live here to understand. People are generally lazy and want to live on welfare. There is no way to help people like that. Also one out of two Nigerian you see is here illegally so how can they achieve anything? On you point about the name of the university, well, i might as well google a name for you and there would be no way for you to verify, so what's the point?
On your point about the 120k, every soldier is given a certain amount to go to school. It's called the G.I bill. You can only use it for school, rent and tuition. Quality education guarantees you a six figure job so do the math. Again, i stress that you do understand that 20mil is only 10k. That's my tax refund this year alone.
hehehe don't take it personal dude... Stop going off point... we are not discussing whether Nigeria is better than America now.. we all know America is better than Nigeria... the topic is, which one would you rather choose, 20million or american passport.... the person I quoted made it look like, immediately you enter America, you enroll into school, start living America dream. he didn't think about accommodations, feeding and stuff as been an American doest guarantee you have auto accommodation. you have to work to raise enough money to get accommodation or have someone help you out before you can start think about school and how to get loan for school or whatever.. like you said, a good school guarantees 6 figures, but is it that easy to enter that good school even if you have enough money let alone you that is going on loan. but in Nigeria, your money dictates your school. I have not been to America, I have been European countries, I may not have idea of how things work in America but it's definitely not as rosey as you painted it.

1. I had already said the U.S will always give you options and it depends on you and how much you want to succeed.
does that mean everyone in aAmerica succeed automatically but one is bigger than the other? why then do we have so many homeless and hopeless beggars.?

2. I did not attend a community college and i did not attend an ivy league. Not everyone will get into yale and havard. But i did go to a reputable institution for my masters.
tell us the name of the University

3. I signed an initial 4 year contract as a soldier upon which i recieved so much goodies/benefits/perks/ including 120k for school, that i decided to make it permanent. Hence, why i said it depends on you and your choices.
how come those hopeless hobos ain't doing any of that? I mean really, 120k should be enough to set anyone up for life.. buy house and live good life.

4. Unlike Nigeria where you have to pay out of pocket, you can get a loan to go to school.
you can get a loan to go to school, but we are talking about 20million here.. you can go to best University in Nigeria, with small part of the money, do your masters with it and also, invest in that same money.. can you do that in America?

5. America gives you multiple choices.
Same as Nigeria if you have 20million in your account.

As long as you have the Attitude, Knowledge and Ambition.. many have made it and fared better compared to Nigeria.. it does not matter where but have those three Traits and you will make it.. as 2Face. he did not go to America to make it..
that's the point bro.. with that kinda money, who fhucking needs America.. I don't wanna go to America as citizen but as a tourists. how many Americans can even boast of 80k dollars.

Bro's stop watching movies for your facts. The good thing about america is they will always give you multiple choices for everything in life. It depends on you and your choices. Within 6 months of my arrival in the U.s i had started my masters. That was not my plan originally, but when the u.s government is giving you free money for school, you don't say no.
which University did you start your masters? in community college, online, or ivy league? so American government is dashing free money like that yet we still have many people struggling to go to college or struggling for scholarships because they couldn't afford to it? Bros read the previous message very well.

I would prefer to have a green card than to be given 20 million naira which has no value nowadays. I will stay and work in the city of new york, save some sumptous amount, go to shool, have an international certificate. And after that I will invest and use all my acquired wealth, knowledge and recognitions in nigeria. If u support this view of mine hit like like u r eating popcorn.
you think money to do all that will start flying immediately you reach America.. you have to work for years before you can gather enough to go to school self.. probably community college self, not the ivy league.. things ain't bed of roses either.. with 20 million, you can invest and live normal life and probably travel to that America as a tourist self.

WHAT IV NOTICED SINCE PMB TOOK OVER

*NO ONE IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR GENERATED AND EXPENDED MONIES.

*ELECTRICITY GENERATION HAS NOT CHANGED;EVEN IF IMPROVED, PRAISES SHOULD BE GIVEN TO GEJ.

*OUR COUNTRY IS RAN WITHOUT PRINCIPAL OFFICE HOLDERS. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE FUNDS GENERATED?

*SACKED OVER 93 AMBASSADORS WHICH IS UNCALLED FOR.

*MORE THAN 500 NIGERIANS HAVE BEEN KILLED BY BOKO HARAM IN 39 DAYS.

*TEAM NIGERIA HAS LOST IN ALL COMPETITIONS WITHIN THIS SHORT PERIOD.

*ACCIDENTS HAVE INCREASED RAPIDLY ON OUR ROADS IN RECENT TIMES.

*NAIRA HAS FALLEN LIKE OLYMPUS

*DSS HAS BEEN REDUCED TO THE LEVEL OF A VIGILANTE GROUP

*FUEL SELLS FOR #120

*KWORRUPTION IS A FORGOTTEN ISSUE. WITCH HUNTING IS WHAT'S UP.

E TOO MUCH. NOTHING IS GOING ON WELL
so bBuhari shouldn't be praised for the improvement in power supply but should be blamed for boko haram that GEJ nurtured abi?

it looks like mtn has upgraded their browsing speed from the usual 7.2mbit/sec. which gives roughly 800kb/sec IBM speed.

my download speed has increased drastically. my download speed on mtn was between 400kb/sec to 650kb/sec but since yesterday, my download speed has increased to 1.5 to 1.8mb/sec..
the last time I got this kind of speed was on Etisalat..

nb= it's the same modem I have been using.

what about you? did you notice any difference?

Welcome development.. especially the tertiary institutions. the money these Universities make from students annually is enough to cover all the recurrent expenditures of the school but government pays for all that, while the school management embezzles the money they collect from students

This report does not add up. There's no how Osun could have been above Anambra even on cumulative basis. Anambra has always been ahead in all the SE states. A visit to Anambra will convince any one who is in doubt. Osun is not known for anything spectacular. Not for agriculture, not for commerce and not for mineral explorations so how comes its occupying the second position? Its simply not adding up. Only the caliber of buildings in Anambra alone will convince any doubting Thomas that the people of this state are not hungry.
Why is standard of living in Mozambique. better than Nigeria when Mozambique hardly produce one third of what Nigeria produces or have up to 20 percent of Nigeria gdp?

Did Saraki ever say that he is yoruba ? Only an ignorant person, yoruba or otherwise, will be fooled into thinking Saraki is yoruba just because of the Bukola in his name. Saraki himself denied his being yoruba through a rerun interview granted by his late father. His father, Olusola Saraki, is nigerien but yoruba mother which does not make him a yoruba. As a matter of fact, from the second republic uptil his death, he aligned and identified himself more as a northerner than a southerner. Busy-bodism kills the intelect even where one has it.
