Family › Re: 59-Yr-old Woman Gives Birth In Lagos by thorpido(m): 5:40pm On Dec 24, 2012
debrief08: As soon as I opened this thread I knew I will see what Pastor said yet no interview from Doctors who receieved such a rare medical feat.
Nigerians, what hospital did she give birth in? Why didn't they interview the Doctor who received such aa rare case? The Doctor would have been on her case as this is an extra special delivery.
She would have been closely observed and managed and entered into the medical Journal but as usual the Hospital name is clearly missing from the story and Doctors report and interview none existant, yet we will shout halleluyah until a mother comes to claim her baby and we see a "Mary" case repeat.
I believe in miracles oh, but let us ask the right questions, let these miracles be verifiable.
I for one am interested in hearing her Doctors veiws, no Doctor will get a 59 year old positive pregnancy test and not annouce this to the world as a special case.
Till I read from a certified Doctor and not a trado medical lungu Doctor I reserve my commentsm
I can understand your scepticism, but maybe you need to do your own personal research.I'm a paramedic and I've been in a hospital environment long enough to tell u things.I've seen patients who had things happen in their lives that were contrary to medical science. How do u explain a patient who I saw her genotype confirmed as SS and sometime later in my presence she took a test and this time it was AA.My chief laboratory officer couldn't have a child for many years and had even done IVf at a time.Without doing anything she just discovered she had pains and felt sick and decided to treat herself only to run a test and was found 5mths pregnant at 48yrs.
The part about doctors verifying,u need to know that medical practice has a code of confidentiality and do not talk 2 d press except there is some legal backing.Even if u decide to interview u may not get doctors to talk.
I'm not saying there can't be lies about some cases but I'm just trying to erase your scepticism.

kandiikane: Can we have videos of each dance?

I like the trad dance where the women wear fluffy bands around their arms and legs and move seductively using their arms. Ini edo did the dance in her movie "I'll take my chances"

Which ethnic dance is that?
It's d ethnic dance of the Calabar people. It's called ekombi.(I dnt know if I spelt it right cos I'm Yoruba).

joymary7: As for M̶̲̥̅Ε̲̣̣̣̥.. My son cries anytime we get to public places ( market, church, classroom, cinema) and ‎i feed him. If I'm driving and he cries ‎i park somewere and feed him, ‎i am very young to Βε̲̣̣̣̥ bringing out my boobs in public but ‎i don't av a̶̲̥̅̊ choice because my baby must eat..
Your statement'I'm very young' is amusing to me.So when u are older u wouldn't be bothered?

I'm a paramedic and the reaction of a young woman and a much older woman when they come to the clinic and I have to examine them is always different. The young ones are somewhat shy but the older ones really just don't care.I'm professional though.I don't mess with anyone.

Family › Re: How Do You Deal With A Husband That Keeps Malice by thorpido(m): 6:08pm On Dec 20, 2012
Kobojunkie: I can relate. I am about the same way. I shutdown when I have a disagreement with people that I find difficult to reach and I also ignore them for a while so I can get my senses back, but I don't think it is a mature way of handling conflict, especially in a marriage, and as a man.

Again, even though I used to do the "shut down"/ignore thing a lot so that peace will reign(no shout-fests) I have come to learn it is not a good way to resolve issues, especially in a marriage situation.

What you think you are doing is making a decision to let peace(quiet) reign, but what you are actually doing is telling the other person that he/she has no right to try to reach you where you are. I mean how do you expect your wife to know what you are feeling without you opening your mouth to tell her? You expect her to read your mind? Come on!! You are human. If you were in her shoes and you don't have a clue why your husband is keeping his distance from you, would you not go berserk?

That is a huge lie!! Like I said, I used to think as you do until I realized what forgiveness really means, especially in marriage. If you cannot see yourself as the bigger person in the marriage, then pray tell what is your worth as the man in the relationship? You might as well tie wrapper and become the woman in the relationship.

True that we would rather be hurt than hurt others but you do hurt others extremely more when you choose not to communicate your frustrations with them. I know this because I have had the experience of being on the other end and it is frustrating having someone ignore you just because. It is panic inducing . . . remember humans do not have mind-reading abilities, so also wives. She needs to be told what you are feeling and no body else can do that for you. If you do not tell her right when it hurts, don't you think you are torturing her?

Again, I don't buy this reasoning that because you act one means you should always remain that way. In my years, I have come to realize that just because you are different does not mean you are exempt from GROWING UP. No matter what your personality type, you need to grow up . . discover those areas where you are not maximizing your potential in your relationships and try to grow up. Does not mean CHANGE who you are but develop into a more mature person even as you remain who you are.
You raised a very valid point here.I often hear people say this is the way I am and you have to accept me like that.I think that is nonsense. If u have a particular character that is not good for relationships,u ought to make an effort to improve.GROW UP like u said, especially in a marriage.
@poster.Doesn't ur husband have anyone he looks up to?Like his dad,an uncle,a senior colleague or pastor?I think there should be someone who can talk 2 him in situations like this.

Okay, clap for urself.I guess u're throwing tantrums.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Right For Jonathan To Kneel At Redeemed Camp by thorpido(m): 6:41pm On Dec 17, 2012
fellis: The Muslims do not sit before any human being unlike GEJ that knelt before a pastor.
Why bring Muslims up in this matter anyway? All you had to do was to defend your beliefs and state the reason why GEJ's actions were correct but it seems you fellows cannot defend your opinions without attacking another person's religion.

I asked a question before; why was the pastor standing when Jonathan was kneeling? If anything the pastor should be the one kneeling because he is the one that is supposed to be communicating with God and asking God for favours.
You didn't even take the time to read what d guy u responded to wrote before spilling ur gibberish. The guy is a muslim and was supporting the Islamic way of praying.I've been reading your comments and now I understand why. It's either u're immature or u've got comprehension issues.

By the way if I may add,GEJ did not kneel for pastor Adeboye but God.If u don't understand it....well I guess u'll never.

Cuddlemii: Why can't u just accept people for who they are?
If one babe exhibits fakeness, then, hang around the real ones.
Real ones are likely to be the ladies men treat like plagues probably because they are not beautiful or light skinned.
I mean realistically, look at his wife. He must have gone for humility/xter and not a beauty queen that is why she is not fake.
You can't eat your cake and have it. Men need to compromise, they want realness, they shld set realistic goals & not be too choosy.
Too choosy eh?I thought it was ladies who were always too choosy.I dated a girl who was particular about height, skin colour, hair type, shape of fingers, teeth etc,it literarily freaked me out.

I thought this Jesus was supposed to be anobi Isa.What is wrong with celebrating the birth?
Anyway Jesus said I am the light of the world.U really can't put out the light of the world.U may deny it but can't quench it.

Whether some people say u should not celebrate birthdays or not is based on their understanding and doctrines. It does not prove or deny the truth.

My own is that there is a Kingdom that stands FOREVER....Jesus is of that Kingdom.

Show me in the bible where it says it is a sin to get pregnant and marry? Who wrote these moral codes? God or man? Because you say something is not right, doesnt mean you are right you know. Besides God only recognizes payment of dowry. So traditional marriage is even more legal under God's eyes.[/quote]Pregnancy before marriage is a proof of fornication. If I may ask u,is fornication now allowed by God?Is it a man made rule as u imply? Can u show me in the Bible where it is stated that God only recognises payment of Dowry? It's not compulsory to have a white wedding but if u have to do it then u must follow the standard of the church.

For those who think being a non-muslim automatically makes u a Christian should get educated.Wearing a cross on the neck or even going to Church does not make u one.No right thinking Christian will support Kim's way of life. They are free in Bahrain to protest her coming,it's their country. They should however not involve taking of lives or destruction of properties over issues like this.

Goshen360 is right. However we are not at the same level of spiritual understanding and that is why many may disagree. There is nothing wrong with receiving the anointing through a medium but it is not the main thing like Goshen said.Your faith and your spoken word is the main thing. If u are a Christian and has given your life to Christ then the anointing is IN you.You will however need to grow in it.All these men of God grew in it.The same anointing you receive is the one they received too when they became born-again.
