I saw this and while it was nice, it was more like Liverpool today. A counter attacking team that was very direct just as he later did with Madrid.

But with sarri, you could see that for the first time we could have a good team structure that will be able to possess the ball efficiently and also create chances from all over the pitch, from defense to attack. This was unique for us.

I am not here to glorify sarri but incase you haven't noticed, I don't join the bandwagon in making my decisions.

There are coaches who need time to fully implement their structure and pattern on their teams and at the same time develop major players along the way.
Sarri was one of such, we could see glimpses of his vision in our games initially and it was good.

We ended the season in 2 major finals and finished with the 3rd best defense in the league. So, one could say there was even progress made, considering the fact that we went trophyless the season before and didn't qualify for UCL.

But your type who are perennially impatient and have slow memories would rather believe he was a failure.

Rudiger is not a terrible defender. His stats are actually very good compared to other EPL top 6 defenders.
Since he returned from his long term injury, he has been quite inconsistent because he hasn't formed a solid partnership with any other defender yet.

Guy, forget solid partnership. Some of the mistakes he makes are individual mistakes that have nothing to do with solid or watery partnership

Just watching the highlights of that game vs West Ham again..

I don't care wot anybody wants to say, I blame Rudiger 100% for that loss. No professional or even monkey post defender would play the ball out to corner when he has time and space to boot the ball out or even play it out for a throw.
We were on a high the end of that first half b4 Rudiger happened. That equalising goal at the end of the first half made the hammers to come out guns blazing at the beginning of the 2nd half.
