I bath with hot water normally, but I can't help with drinking cold water. A friend just shouted at me today sef when she saw me with iced water
I plan on doing a long walk later today and drink hot water like a diet. I'm also looking for abacha (that Igbo delicacy ). It helped get me into labour with my daughter seven years ago. Really want to do whatever it takes for this baby to come like right now

Hello Mamas, trust we’re all doing great?
Please Mamas with CS experience. Your input will be greatly appreciated to lift my spirit the more.

I had my CS on the 18th of last month and it was an emergency CS. I was discharged 3 days after and the site was covered again of which I was told to remove the plaster 2 days later and clean thrice daily with spirit and gauze.
The site was discharging fluid and I reported back to the hospital, the antibiotics was changed to a stronger one but still the fluid was coming out. I returned to the hospital on Friday and I was placed on admission, it happened to be that the site was infected so they had to loose the stitch and clean.
They placed me on injections for 3 days and the site is cleaned morning and evening with honey and eusol.
I haven’t stopped crying and feeling bad most especially cause of my DH. He has not rested since our initial admission till now. He’s been sleeping out in the cold in the hospital with us. He cooks and stays with us till late at night before going home to return yet again by morning.
Sometimes I ask myself what I did wrong. My mum hasn’t stopped worrying either. My BP started getting high again so I told myself I wouldn’t worry again. God has brought me this far and I know He wouldn’t leave me.
Please Mamas that have gone through this or has Knowlege about this, how long will all of these come to an end? Will I be sutured again? What am I to expect so I get prepared for it all?

I have no idea about this, but I know worrying won't do any good. Please keep being strong for yourself, for DH, and your LO. You will be fine.

The way I fell on my stomach while coming back from church today ehn I av never fallen so heavily before, I hit my head and stomach on the hard surface and had few bruises on my head and lips My stomach became so hard instantly though I feel much better now. Mommas, do u think I shd be worried? hope I and d baby is safe? my hospital is quite far and I am 38 weeks gone already.

Please be on your way to the hospital right away. Even if you feel okay, you may not be.

Good morning Sabi mamas. Please help me out. I started having back ache yesterday night just immediately after kpekus, then menstrual like cramps, then tightening of the lower abdomen. Ive not been able to sleep. The pain is making uncomfortable, though bearable. Im a FTM to be, so i don't know if it's false labor or so. 38 weeks today. Please what does labor pain feel like. My head is banging from the sleeplessness caused by the pains

It is well, sis. Been feeling that tightening too. This evening it is mild cramps and spasms that come and go. I'm in slight pain and discomfort but I like it. If the cramps are not intense yet at night, I will tell DH to massage my back and waist, that one is a straight ticket to arouse him so we go do the do (if he will agree to it sef). I'm tired of the waddling. My son will be 9 on Wednesday and he is earnestly praying for me to give him a birthday mate sibling. ^{If only he knows that I can't even wait for that Wednesday}

I don't know where to start but atleast let me start somewhere.
I never plan this pregnancy
Since Dec I have been sick countless times. Taking malaria drugs.

Around April ending I decided to go for test because all my PT test at home was not showing anything.

Then the rest at the hospital show I was living for two. I cry my eyes out because my hubby lost his job and my business was not moving.

Try to terminate it but couldn't immediately I saw the tools the doctor wanted to use I told him I wanted to pee then ran away.

Although the pregnancy I was not sick or even feeling anything because I always tell the baby that I don't ask for you so don't stress me

Fast forward to around June I went for scan and it shows Sept then I decided to give the child up for adoption.

After contracting the adoption center i was given form to fill and talk about the money.

Around ending June someone did giveaway on Facebook and I was lucky to be given 10k I decided to go and register for antinatals and I told my doctor that I was trying for vbacs.

Fast forward to my delivery week. I went for normal antinatals on the 14 Sept after my explanation to my doctor. He decided to check me and we found out I was already 2cm dilated.

I was asked to go and bring my load to the hospital . I went home and never did that day because according to my doctor since I was trying for vbacs I will not be given anything. I will labor and delivery by myself .

So on Wednesday I was having on and off contration I decided to drag myself to the hospital.

Immediately the CMD of the hospital saw me he ask me who authorised me for vbacs. That I should be prepared for CS . I told him boldly that am not here for CS

Then on Thur morning I was 7cm from morning till night and the pains was much
I was reminded of CS again since I was not progressing I still stand my no.

Then I beg my doctor to do membrane sweep for me. Immediately he did it for me. My contraction was now unbearable. I beg the nurse to check me and I was 9cm I beg for pictocin nothing was given to me.

Then before you say Jack I feel like poo poo
I was told to push and my bobo came out screaming his lungs out 3kg without any tear.

Welcome all to the month of our delivery, I pray God make it easy for our pregnant women and make delivery a supernatural one for us.

At this time, I can report our EDD as October 22nd and the gender is blue. Cappo @threegees, please take note.

We are 37 weeks gone and almost prepared. Most of the things we bought (clothings, bath bowl, bibs etc.) for the baby will be returned to the stores we bought them from. Called one of the main grocery store yesterday and they said I can return it provided I still have the receipts. I am returning them because the pregnancy centre we took the pregnancy test has been calling from time to time and for the past few weeks, they have been providing most of the things we would need. From clothings to bassinets, car seat to baby toys, baby bath bowls, baby gym etc. We rejected the baby closet because we have many closets in the house. We will be returning some of the clothings because they seem too many particularly 0 to 3 months.

As for food, madam has really not been eating much and we have stopped cooking much since we eat different things and now eat at different times. Although the headache is still persistent but we have accepted it as our package. Her body is preparing for labor as she still experiences tightening and some cramps that seems like false labor.

Most importantly, thanks to God for hitherto he has helped us.

Please Mamas with CS experience, does taking diary products or any food in particular disrupt the healing of the wound?
Mine is bringing out pox though the doctors are checking me up every 2 days. They had to cover it again. Water has never touched the site so I don’t know why the pox is there.
I believe God for complete healing nonetheless. He brought me this far, I know He wouldn’t leave me.

I think pus shows sign of infection. You should keep the place as dry as possible, cleaning only with methylated spirit. Since the doctors are checking you, you should be okay soonest. Speedy recovery in Jesus name

For about a week now i feel pain on my left hand side of my belly. I also noticed that my bump is always aligned to the left side, it will be hard and strong will the right side has space and softer.

Been too strong since morning, severe headache held me down and i throw up everything I ate before I feel a bit relieved.

I trekked for about an hour the other day only to come back and my legs started shaking.

May the Lord make it swift & safe for us. Amen

BUMPY TUESDAY

We're 39 weeks today.
Somebody shout hallelujah!

I want to clarify something sha. There's this painful thing I feel since three days now. The thing kinda hooks me from the back of my neck, down to my waist, sort of like muscle pull. When it is happening, I notice I can see my bump changing shape and very strong. If it starts eh, e remain to cry. Don't know if it is contractions now
Then, I pass loose stool frequently, sometimes twice or thrice a day.
In all, I know it's happening soon. Can't wait to meet this perfect baby of mine

Discovering I was pregnant was the hardest pill I had to swallow, came with alot of mixed feelings, abort or not, do strenuous stuffs so I would miscarry, name it, but God's plans are surely not ours. Zi my DS was already on my neck for a sibling even before I discovered I was pregnant. So after much thinking, I decided to let the will of God prevail.

On purpose I didn't take any prenatals, I was care-free and I guess if my life wasn't also at stake in pregnancy, I maybe might not have registered for antenatal. It took plenty talks and advice from my neighbors before I dragged myself to a private hospital for registration at almost 26weeks.

Even when I felt I had zero love for my foetus, I still found myself doing scan almost every Saturday or whenever I felt reduced movement. As the pregnancy progressed and kicks became more visible, I knelt down and cried to God for mercy. Early pregnancy I wished for miscarriage around 25weeks down, I wished for foetal death and here I was at 28weeks praying and revoking every bad intentions I had for him. For every kicks and nudges, I fell more inlove, Zi would kiss my tummy every night and even when he doesn't know what we were expecting, he would say *GOODNIGHT BABY BROTHER*

I started baby shopping around that 28/30weeks and I kept making positive declarations. Around my 32weeks, a friend adviced me to register in the General hospital incase of emergency that I know I had to be extra careful so I can stay alive for Zi. She said I needed to deliver in General where facilities are top notch with more experienced Doctors, I jokingly told her to relax that I will have a sexy delivery in my house and I won't be needing both the Private I registered and the General.

It was as if my village people was just whispering to everybody on my behalf o and my neighbors kuku started there own wahala. The day I told them I was going to register in the General hospital, on my way, I changed my mind and went to a Primary health Care center instead and registered. The nurse checked me and was like I was 28weeks meanwhile I was over 33weeks plus, walai fear begin catch me. I left there and went for scan immediately and it back dated me by 1week, I stayed there and started crying bitterly o.

One woman there met me and was like she will recommend a good midwife that she is a matron in General hospital so she can check me still. I happily collected the number and booked appointment with the woman the next day. The following day came, see heavy rain, I couldn't go and that was how she kuku told me she was going to be busy d whole week. I just kept praying and kicks kept reassuring me all was well.

Oneday, I got a call from d midwife telling me to come over to her place that she was free, so I went, told her my history of early birth, most times exactly 4weeks before my Edd. She didn't check me, only gave me malaria drugs and that was how I started treating malaria o. 2weeks after the treatment I started having contractions that were not really frequent. I expected to deliver maybe around 6th Sept judging from previous births but as that day passed, I told myself that maybe this baby is really going to be an October born. Around Sept 15th, the contraction became more frequent and intense, I contacted the midwife and she said she was busy at the hospital that I should time it and come to General if need be that she will attend to me (Chai God bless her for me, she really took me as a daughter). After the call, seems baby heard d busy call and decided to calm down for me, naso contraction take stop o.

LABOUR

Woke up Sunday 20th Sept with serious cold, I was really shivering and even with the duvet on my body, d cold was intense. I quickly called the midwife and she was like thank God she is off today, that she will come see me immediately after church service. I lay in bed cause of cold for over 3hours and when I finally got up to pee, I saw my mucous plug staring at me in d loo.

I called her again and told her it's like am in labour o, funny thing when I saw the show, the cold varnished . Then came this strong contractions that were hitting me back to back. Midwife finally came by past 2pm and when she checked she was like I was just 2cm and my cervix was very thick upon the whole pains I was feeling chai. She now gave me an injection Sha which to her was supposed to soften the cervix. She asked if I would follow her to her house or to the hospital and I said No, Mommy I want to deliver at home.

Few minutes after the injection the pain became more intensed and she only checks me after every 4hours. For every time she checked, she didn't say if I was progressing or not, naso so lie down and rolling on the floor I was doing, or walking on all fours. My female neighbors came with advices, exercise o, walk around the compound, Mommy Zi shey wey warned u to be doing frequent walking and strolling. All those advice na for deaf ears o, I was just lying down on the floor shouting when it hits me and rested when it stopped.

By 8pm, she checked again and still said nothing, instead she gave me another dose of the injection and inserted misoprostol for me. She was like Sweetie please try walk around small for me na, Haaaa, I got up, left my sitting room and just before I could get to the gate, I don lose wrapper lie down for ground begin shout again. All this while I was in pains, I kept praying for my son, God please may I give birth to a living Child, Lord am sorry.

As soon as they saw wrapper don reach floor and I was on d bare ground again, they rushed, covered me up and took me back to my house. She was like I should jex lie on my side that I would dilate just fine God willing and if by morning I don't have my baby, we would head to the hospital for emergency Cs. I vomited a couple of times and refused all the food my neighbors brought for me. B.Daddy brought peppersoup and I managed to take a little, brethren that was how contractions stopped o.

I was even saying thank God in my mind cause the pain I was feeling was on another realm, jeezzz, midwife was like haaa that contraction shouldn't stop o but let's watch it. After about an hour, the stuff came back with full re-enforcement, naso she go use pillow cover my mouth that I was disturbing people's sleep. Oh my Zi, I heard him started praying, that was when I remembered I even had someone to stay strong for. He will say God please make my mommy to stop crying Amen, God please bring my baby brother Amen. That was the strength I needed, I stopped shouting and joined him in prayers too.

Around 4pm, Living Faith Pastor called me cause my neighbor told him earlier that day that I was in labour and he should pray for me which he did, he called to know if I had delivered and when they told him no, he asked for the bottle of coke in my house, he prayed on it over the phone and said they should sprinkle it on my body and give me some to drink. I was weak and at a point I started shouting at the midwife, CAN'T YOU TELL ME HOW MANY CM ALREADY NAA , WHEN WILL I GET TO THE PUSHING STAGE

She was calm all through and said once she sets hot drip for me I should know it's almost close, that with the pain I was feeling, hot drip would worsen it. She was jex talking naso I begin vomit again, for my sitting room, this time I couldn't run to the toilet or bring a bucket. After vomiting, I lay down on my vomit. All my female neighbors were doing the labour vigilante with me, throwing all form of sorry and it will soon be over sympathy.

Immediately I lay on my vomit, she came and checked me again, didn't say a word, next thing she asked for my Nightingale, she spread it on the floor and asked me to lie down, brethren I forgot how to lie down, I was then shouting MOMMY I WANT TO STAND UP OOO . Sha I finally lay down and she burst my waters, and started setting the hot drip. Plancenta was removed and I kuku catwalk to the bathroom and had a warm shower bath, cleaned myself up while they cleaned baby, home delivery sweet o.

Zi ran out from the room as soon as he heard the baby's cry, yeaaa it ended in praise and baby was named today.

It all started on the 10th of sept when I went for my 38 weeks appointment I was 38+1 my OB did a cervical check and said I was 2-3cm dilated and I asked for for membrane sweep which I did with my first son and it worked but after 5 days was expecting this one to be the same, after the sweep I didn’t feel anything so I thought it won’t work so got home did the usual then thought of dancing and doing the labor activating exercise on YouTube but got tired after few moves but did more later.
At around 6pm I started feeling tightening but was very mild which I started losing my mucus plug(bloody show) as well I went to bed and woke up at night to more tightening but we’re not consistent so went back to sleep, by morning on the 11th they became strong and time-able by 2 pm they became stronger ranging between 4-5 minutes apart but I couldn’t go to the hospital because we were waiting for my friend to come watch my son which she will be off work by 6pm I waited for that long by this time contractions were 2 minutes apart when she finally arrived at 6:30pm. So we got to the hospital at 7pm got checked again and was 4cm and my water leaking so got admitted, at 8pm I was checked again and was 5cm my water broke like 5 minutes later came to know baby boy pass meconium, after my water broke my God the pain was so much I almost got the epidural but my amazing nurse and hubby encouraged me that I could do it because I told them I really really want to have him naturally.
By 9:30pm I was at 7cm and by 10pm I was at a 10cm and felt the urge to push, pushed 3 times and out he came at 10:05pm screaming... He weigh 6lbs 5oz and was perfect Alhamdulillah... We get to go home the next day 12th sept

make una come help me chook mouth ooo, I have been having series of unexplainable pain since yesterday though EDD stating 2/10, 4/10 & 10/10, so this evening I decide to visit the primary health center close to my house( not where I registered) and lodge a complain though I didn't see any show or water , so the midwife asked me to get a glove for examination of which I did, she checked me vaginally and confirmed I am 2cm already.
so when she wanted to check the foetal heartbeat she told me bluntly that the baby is lying breech of which is true from my last ultrasound scan,
now this is my question
1. should I head to the hospital tonight or wait till tomorrow
2. can the baby be delivered VD or I should just prepare my mind for CS

Don't take chances. Start going to the hospital now. I await your BA/BS
