Hy momma, congratulations on the journey so far.
First, I'll implore you not to expect your baby early as 2 of your previous came after 40 weeks, however, there are no rules to these things, anything can happen.

Secondly, please and please, try and remove your mind from the baby coming early, it'll only stress you out the more and make you almost frustrated.
Go for outings, read books if you love to. Just try and enjoy these very few weeks left jo matter how little you can.

Having high expectations only steals one's joy especially when it comes with disappointments.

Take walks, squats, zobo, pineapples, dates from 36weeks.

Good afternoon moms.
Please I want to know if there's a likelihood I have my baby early. My other two kids came at 40 weeks 6 days, and 42 weeks 3 days respectively.
I'm asking because I'm obviously tired and hubby is not even buying the idea of ECS. We're hitting week 35 tomorrow according to LMP.
Secondly, when is the appropriate time to do the last scan and check PCV? I was waiting to do it at 36 weeks before my next appointment.
Third, what are those things I should do to get labour started and help ease it when it starts? I was here last in 2013 so I have practically forgotten everything I know. I'm on Google everyday.
Then, does lack of sex affect delivery? Can't remember when last I had sex. Since my last scan suggested my cervix was not closed as should be and I was advised to avoid sex, my husbandman no even near me.

What happen na?
As at 2011 October, I had vaginal delivery with no complications. Just induced with a tablet that didn't even work. Our bill was approximately 40k. A lady had twins there (vaginal) and she and the hubby were shocked when she was given bill of 70k in the same year 2011 o. Who knows what their charge would be now? We all assumed since it was church hospital, it would be affordable kind of. Since then, I no go again and I always tell anyone that asks hold your money o.

MY BIRTH STORY
The pregnancy journey was a smooth one just like my first pregnancy, I had no malaria, nausea, or morning sickness.
So on Thursday 20th of August, exactly 33weeks around 1am I started having contraction, I thought it was false contraction cos i had it two weeks before. The contraction continued till 5am and I couldn’t sleep. When hubby woke up and saw me he was scared, he asked us to start going to the hospital and I told him to relax that it’s false contraction that am just 33weeks. Although have gotten all the baby things but I haven’t arranged it, I said I will do that by ending of the month not knowing baby will surprise me. Please I implore us once you are in third trimester that packing your things, you never can tell. So around 8am we went to the hospital where I registered, it’s a private hospital.
I went in and saw the doctor I told her I was having contraction, she was like contraction ke? At 33 weeks. She now said she will do V.E and when she did I was 4cm dilated. She gave me injection that will aid the lungs of the baby. She now said she has to refer me to another hospital cos the baby will need incubator, I was now getting scared and started praying and telling God that I know he will not fail me and that he brought me this far so he won’t forsake me or leave me half way. I explained to my husband and we went to the hospital we were referred to. We didn’t even go with the baby things because I taught we will just go to the hospital and they will stop the contraction. So when she got to the hospital we were referred to they also referred us to another hospital again, a teaching hospital.
When we got there my liquor was leaking already, I was wheeled to where they do scan the baby was weighing 2.2kg. They also did V.E I was 5cm gone. They asked if it was my first pregnancy I said no, they asked me when I gave birth to my first, I told them it was 40 weeks and 5days. So I was wheeled to the labor room, I think after 2 or 3 hours oxytocin was injected to the drip, labor now started with full force, while I was in the labor room my Mum called me and I spoke to her calmly cos I don’t want her to panick. After 5 hours I got to the labor room I started feeling the urge to push and I was moved to another bed, after two attempts of pushing my baby came out crying out loudly, the doctor was like the baby doesn’t sound like a preterm baby. He weighed 2.5kg and he was okay without incubator. The doctor said maybe I miscalculated my Lmp, I told him am not a baby that my lmp was January 2nd, he na said maybe I was already pregnant before I saw my last period. So time for placenta to come out it refuse to come out, the nurse dip her hand inside to check me she said she can’t even feel it that it’s still far away, I started praying again for God to complete what he started, after 10minutes it came out, I had little tears and it was stitched. My husband was not there, he was told to go and donate blood, so I gave birth before he came back. He was so happy. Eventually there was no need for the blood. My Pcv was 36 % after delivery.
Few minutes later I was moved to the maternity ward, and I started putting the baby to breast. The baby just came as a surprise. I was given a message that God said he deliberately brought the baby earlier to surprise and destroy the plan of those waiting to strike on the day of labor. I bless God for the journey so far. I pray for every mother here that God will make your journey a successful one and you will all deliver safely. And to Gtc this year is your year in Jesus name, baby dust to you all.

Sorry cappo, have you tried elevating the legs on a small kitchen chair when you sit or with a pillow when you lay down?

Good evening sabi mamas please how do I use hospital too far leaf. My pcv is 30%, I'm 33 weeks gone and my doctor said I should try to build to 34 or 35% before delivery. I have the leaf already

No idea. Sabi moms will tell you. I only know of chewing on garden egg leaves.
I've been told to do my last scan and pcv next week too

Don’t mind me o. It’s because my legs have been swollen since 20weeks and I have taken it as my cross for this pregnancy.

I missed out on the bumpy Tuesday yet again. I’ll try my best to partake in the next one as I’m always lazy to take pictures.

We clocked 35weeks today all thanks to God. I’m planning on having a photoshoot next weekend. I’m a FTM so I don’t know what week is best to have the maternity shoot, but regardless it’ll be at 36 weeks.
I get so tired these days, pee a whole lot and I drag myself to walk like a penguin.

In all I’m certain it’ll end in Praise by His grace. Safe delivery to us all yet to deliver. God will make it easy for us all

Amen o. Thanks darl. Had my shoot since July. My in-law did a free photoshoot for me so we went to do it earlier. That penguin walk eh, it is well. Counting down like it should happen tomorrow sef

The pressure of your growing womb can also affect the blood flow in your legs. This can cause fluid to build up in your legs, ankles and feet. As long as all your parameters are good ( blood pressure and urine tests) and it doesn’t affect just one leg and no associated redness, pain or warmth, you have nothing to worry about.
Sure ways to reduce swelling are to reduce your salt intake, reduce your caffeine, continue your water intake , elevate your feet when you sit and when sleeping, don’t sit too long in a place, wear loose and comfortable clothing and foot wears.

I finally went to Eko market today to get all the needful..@33 weeks.. Mama... My legs are as heavy as... But we'll pull through... My issue for now is this painful muscle pull.. It doesn't see any time to happen apart from midnight.. I tire

My Team October, hope we're doing well?
Please what can I do to help these swelling feet. I had to wear bathroom slippers to antenatal yesterday cos no footwear was sizing me again.
Today, the swelling got worse.
I don't eat excess salt, but I drink water seriously. Could that be the cause? Someone suggested I take short walks and strolls. If only they know the pain I feel in my pubic region.

Team March MS doing me strong thing, can't wait for it to be over. From Sabi Mama's Blue cross hospital at Ogba and St Timothy at ojodu Berger which one is preferable.

Had my son at St. Timothy in 2011. My aunt was the matron then and she handled my delivery. Don't know if she's still there now. Good hospital with good service if you can afford it. Their mouth don big now o

She should go and sleep. I see nothing here, except for the protein in your urine. No need to panic. Speak God's word to your body and baby, and be at peace.

Hello mamas I need your help. I registered for antenatal today and both my blood test and urine test was carried out but my urine came out as protein+++ my bp was 135/65 the doctor wasn’t convinced about my bp and asked I should recheck which still came out as 135/65..she asked if I urinate frequently at night I told her I don’t urinate at time, she also asked if I feel pains when peeing I told her no she said the protein in my urine is very high and I will be needing more tests which I did but the results will be out on Tuesday. I was so worried,panicked aand quickly went for a scan. The lady there didn’t even help matters by saying my baby is folding itself without telling me why. Pls mama help me interpret the scan results I won’t be seeing my doctor till Tuesday.

So sorry for the many typos I’ve been crying since I came back from the hospital I feel so weak and dizzy

From all indications, your baby is ok. Placenta is fine. No anomaly detected.

Pelvic pain no be here o. It's a struggle getting in and out of bed. Craving for cold water and hollandia yoghurt is the order of the day. I'm so tired eh. Praying earnestly to port to September. Can't wait again abeg.

I saw this on Facebook and thought to bring it here.

According to a woman dhe said that her doctor told her to avoid internal tear while delivering she should only push when asked to do so. Avoid the urge to push before instructed no matter how strong.

To avoid the chances of virginal tear, use orginal olive oil to massage the vaginal starting from 5 months at least once a day preferably at night.

Massage the perineum not the vagina

Thanks ma’am, baby is fine, the pediatrician discharged him since Saturday. But my bp is high so we are still at the hospital, hopefully doctor said I will be discharged tomorrow. Thanks for your concern.
