Nairaland and 500 years of backwardness. This news has gone round and is now throwback.

This is the role of Vice Presidents. To worry about market women and whether people are shitting outside.

Nigerian police are the worst of the worst of the worst.

Each time I hear one has met a violent end, I take a shot of champagne.

Bleep the NPF.

South Western Nigeria, you survive one day, you thank your stars. But what if you are a ghost and not actually alive? To confirm, you also check if your head is missing and if people can see you.

If skull mining was part of the national sports festival, Osun state will consistently win Silver after the Skullars of Ogun state (those ones will never give up the gold medal).

Politics / Re: Oshiomhole Tackles Senator Elisha Abbo Over Muslim-Muslim Ticket by throwawaywriter: 3:56pm On Aug 02, 2022

And what jail time will Buhari serve for overseeing the killing of indigenous people in several states in Nigeria by Fulani herdsmen and bandits? I guess he will have his time at the international criminal court (ICC) after he leaves office.

A similar jail term that Peter Obi will serve for supervising the death of many young easterners through Awkuzu SARS.

Oshiomole was the master of the Christian/Muslim game. He toned down his middle name "Aliyu" despite being from a predominantly Muslim town and used the name "Adams" when he started building his political career. Tinubu should have long done the same thing. We know fully well he (BAT) is not even close to being a true Muslim but he didn't.

Lol... Igbos are the most populous ethnic group in Lagos after the Yorubas.

Igbos dominated area includes Isolo, Festac, Ago, Trade fair area, mile 2 etc. Infact most of the Estates in Ago and Festac are fully owned by the Igbos.

Underrate the number of Igbos in Nigeria at your own risk.

In Nigeria, non-indigenes rarely vote. I have seen it play in multiple states. Whether it is Akure or Kano or Jos, people who are not indigenous in the area are usually warned to stay indoors on election day. You can go and ask Igbos in Kano if they have ever voted before. Infact, they travel back to the village to rest during elections.

Politics / Re: The Misconception About Votes From Northern Nigeria by throwawaywriter: 7:18pm On Aug 01, 2022
Peter Obi needs to get 25% in 24 states and the FCT and also have the highest votes.

Almost impossible for him to score 25% in Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi, Zamfara, Jigawa, Sokoto, Borno, Yobe, Gombe, Kastina,

So there is no way Peter Obi can win.

The best he can do is to split the votes of Atiku.

If he (shockingly) gets highest votes, he would still need to do a rerun because he won't score 25% in 24 or more states.

2021 & 2023 is not the same ...

And you know this how?

If you hear gbosa, will you be able to come out to vote? If you see heavily armed security patrolling around, wouldn't you prefer to stay indoors on the day of election?

People have often said Igbos make up a large percentage of voters in places like Lagos and Abuja and even kaduna, Jos and Kano. Have you ever wondered why the effect is not normally seen in elections? Because many of those Igbos are sensible enough to know that Nigeria is a tribal environment and voting differently from the "natives" can bring them trouble. So many rather stay at home on that day or even travel to their villages.

Also, many such Igbos often live in clusters and as such, they can easily be systematically disenfranchised. All the APC needs is three gunshots in the air and most so called youths will be indoors tails between their legs.

I can't recall the Nigerian High Commissioner visiting the various aspirants for the British prime ministerial role. Neo-colonialism.

U dey mind those mumu people.... Let's see how borno vote will make tinubu win the election.

Shey them talk say only borno votes will cancel the five eastern states votes. smiley

SE have roughly 10M registered voters, While SS have roughly 12M registered voters. And the so called political genius is neglecting these regions hoping on core north votes. Even north central will vote more for Atiku & Obi, he will get the least votes there.

3 candidates will share core north (NW & NE) votes, if kwakwanso don't eventually step down for any of the candidate.

This is not 2015 when the election was between Northern (APC) vs Southern (PDP) Candidate.

This election will be the toughest election so far.

Registration doesn't matter. What matters is turn out on the day of election. The last Ananmbra election that Soludo won, go and check the turn out. The last Osun state election had 50% turn-out. In the North, turn out is typically over 60%. I hope you realize many registered as a way of getting the voter's card as an additional means of ID?

Dump her.

If the situation is reversed, she would have dumped you.

Let her sort out her life before marrying and don't contribute to the sorting out. She should be well put together before she put herself up for marriage. If you like disregard this advice now. You will cry later when she uses your property as collateral to get loans to give her boyfriend.
