Nice one Tiba......... Good Info

But my own sch didn't do anything like jamb number are they still going to do that or its not compulsory
This is only meant for people who were offered admission by the institutions & not through Jamb. For them to have Jamb admission letter their institutions have to provide them Jamb no through Jamb & students need to use the Jamb no to regularise their admission. If you were offered admission in your institution through Jamb you dont need to do this, if you already have your Jamb admission letter, you dont need this too.
However, to be double sure you can verify your admission status from Jamb website using your Jamb no.

Good morning ppl.....pls I need some clarifications about these nysc registratio issue

My school just released our jamb numbers last week, pls I want to know the next step to take from here....

How do I validate the jamb number?....Do I just go to a cyber cafe with d number and register/ fill in informations needed or do I need to buy a jamb or Nysc scratch card to do it?

After that what next do I do?

I heard we might pay another N3000....pls can somebody clarify me......Thanks in advance
Go to a cyber cafe, log on to Jamb website at the right hand side you will see regularization. Use the No provided by your school & provide the necessary info.
You need not buying any card, except if you wanna print your Jamb admission letter, then you will need to buy Jamb card #1500 I think. You dont have to pay any more aside that.
Ensure you print the confirmation page after you've provided your info o.

I know of a thread that was created for this purpose but it started as far back as 2014 & I cannot get much. My desperation to speak this language couple with the fact that I couldn't get much from the previous thread necessitate the opening of this thread.
I am grateful to anyone out there who wanna help teaching me from the elementary level. Audio message too would be an added advantage. Thanks.

Crime / Court Summons Customs Director Over Suspect’s Death by tibaonnet: 9:08am On Aug 02, 2016
A Federal High Court in Abuja has summoned the Director, Legal Department of the Nigerian Customs Service, and a lawyer in the department, S. I. Bello, over the sudden death of a suspect, Abubakar Rilwan.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, who is sitting as the court’s vacation judge, ordered that the Customs Legal Director and Bello appear before the court on August 4 to explain why they should not be put on trial for contempt for allegedly failing to give Rilwan medical attention as ordered by the court.

The Nation learnt that Rilwan, who was said to be a staff of Arewa Consultative Forum, was arrested by the Customs operatives over alleged forgery.

The suspect reportedly claimed that he has connection with the Customs and can influence employment into the agency.

The Customs arrested Rilwan in June and accused him of forging documents.

He was arraigned on July 12.

Observing that the suspect was not looking healthy, the judge suspended proceedings and directed that he should be taken to hospital for treatment.

Rilwan’s lawyer, Laura Oviawe, told the court on Monday that her client died on July 13 while arrangements were being made to take him to court.

Oviawe said officials of the Customs called her on July 13 to inform her about the suspect’s death.

Politics / Bello Sacks Niger SSG by tibaonnet: 8:54am On Aug 02, 2016
Niger State Governor; Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has sacked the Secretary to the Niger State Government (SSG), Alhaji Shehu Umar Danyaya.

He has appointed Alhaji Ibrahim Isah Ladan from Borgu local government as the new Secretary to the State Government.

Danyaya’s sack which came as a surprise to all political appointees and people of the state may not have been unexpected because of numerous complaints about him.

The real reason why the Governor sacked his SSG still remains unknown as none of his aides or commissioners were ready to explain the reason for the sudden expulsion.

However, the Nation noted that the Governor, who had series of meeting with various commissioners in the state Monday morning, came out of the meeting looking visibly disturbed and angry. In a statement by the state Commissioner of Information Jonathan Vatsa, he said that no reason have been given for the relief of Alhaji Dan Yahaya from office adding that the Governor and state government appreciated him for the services rendered and wished him well in his future endeavor.

Ladan who replaced Alhaji Shehu Danyaya is a 55 year old seasoned politician and former Senatorial aspirant for Niger North Senatorial
district under the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a former Commissioner representing Niger State in the Federal Character Commission.

Ladan, a turban councillor of Borgu Kingdom had served on the Governor-elect Transition Committee set up by Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello to prepare ground for his administration’s inauguration in 2015.

Until his appointment the new Secretary to Niger State Government is the Secretary to the
Committee on Redistribution of Appointments to Board and Parastatals.

Crime / Woman Escapes Death After Gang- Rape by tibaonnet: 8:38am On Aug 02, 2016
A 45-year-old woman was on Sunday gang-raped and tortured by gunmen in Abakaliki.

The victim told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that a group of armed men numbering about five, forcefully pulled her from the commercial tricycle (Keke) which she boarded.

According to her, the gunmen subsequently forced her into the Keke they boarded and drove-off alongside two motorcycles they hired.

“They took me to a swampy bush behind the San Diego Hotel Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki, where they gang-raped, tortured and abandoned me thinking I was dead.

“A good Samaritan came to my rescue and informed the police who took me to a hospital where I was placed on intensive medication,” she said.

She said the attack was premeditated, alleging that the gunmen might had been hired by her estranged husband who hailed from Enugu.

“I reported him at the Family Law Centre, Abakaliki, over his incessant assault and inhuman treatment which causes me deep physical and emotional trauma.

“During the last sitting of the Centre’s court, he boasted that my case with him will end when I am ‘eliminated’.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ebonyi Police Command, DSP George Okafor, who confirmed the story, assured that the command would get to the root of the matter.

“No arrest has been made so far on the issue, as we are currently concentrating on saving the woman’s life.

“Investigations into the matter will, however, be pursued to its logical conclusion, to apprehend and prosecute the culprits,” he said.

Politics / ‘I Pity President Buhari’ – El- Rufai by tibaonnet: 8:17am On Aug 01, 2016
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, on Sunday, said that over seventy percent of Nigeria’s oil revenue has disappeared under previous administrations without a trace due to corruption.

The Governor stated this during the Sunday service at The Latter Rain Assembly, where he was a guest. He said that the present state of Nigeria was saddening as Nigeria was passing through the worst economic downturn ever.

El-Rufai noted that President Muhammadu Buhair has always been around to bail Nigeria out of economic difficulties, pointing out the President’s military government and the troubling economy he inherited from the Shehu Shagari civilian administration.

El-Rufai said, “We have always known that there is massive corruption in Nigeria but the revelations of the past one year have shocked even the most pessimistic of critics. Nearly 70 per cent of Nigeria’s oil revenues disappeared without a trace.

“Of course, there must be consequences for that. When we sit down with President Buhari these days, I pity him. I pity him because he has always become President anytime Nigeria is in trouble.

“First, it was after the NPN (National Party of Nigeria) government had almost grounded the economy (in 1984) and now, after a massive looting of the nation’s treasury; and he has to lead the team to fix it.

“But we are working round the clock to fix these problems. With your prayers and the cooperation of Nigerians, we shall surmount these problems.”

“President Buhari loves humanity passionately; his strength is that he believes everyone could be trusted, which is also a weakness. When he gives people any assignment, he expects people to carry out the assignment with all honesty.Unfortunately, this is not so all the time as we have seen over time and that’s why I said it is a weakness.

“The President is not a man who has interest in making money for himself or for his friends. Mistakes could be made; only God is perfect.”

Speaking on his position as the governor of Kaduna state, El-Rufai attributed it to the advice of Pastor Tunde Bakare, the general overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, who he said invited him to join the Congress for Progressive Change in 2011.

“I already made up my mind never to go into public office after I left office the last time. Pastor Bakare told me that I should not be bitter; that I should forgive anyone who might have offended me and should move on with my life.

“He then invited me to the join Buhari’s party, the CPC, in 2011 and we have continued since then. Today, I’m close to President Buhari because of what Pastor Bakare has done. Today, I’m a governor because of what Pastor Bakare has done. I’m no longer sad; I’ve forgiven everyone; and I’m no longer bitter.

“More importantly, we need the prayers of Nigerians to succeed.”

Stop spreading wicked lies in the public to attempt to massage the silly egos of Yorubas.

Many Yorubas are known to have been raised in dysfunctional homes with no father figure. The result is the reason Yoruba enclave is replete with area boys and street urchins. These numerous touts lazy around in the society to cause pains to law abiding citizens.

They lurk around corners of the streets, waylay people and extort them of their hard earned money. Yoruba political leadership readily deploy these miscreants for official duties in illegal revenue collections. The rest social misfits are used as political thugs during campaigns to attack opponents and cause havoc in the land. Little wonder Yorubas are known for political thuggery, assassinations and disorder.

The menace of Alayeism, Agberoism, Omonileism, Owomidaism and other anti-social vices cannot be overemphasised in Yorubaland.
Are they Militants? Are they the ones in the creeks bn smacked down by joint actions of Nigeria arm forces? Are those Omoniles,Agbero & what have you, kidnappers? Are they bunkers?.
I said we don't encourage militancy. Do I need to borrow you glasses?
If Yoruba are known for political thuggery, assasinations & disorders, tell me what we should say about River state(80% of which are Igbos). Do I need to take you down the memory line?.

Mr Joe igbokwe is a perfect example of an outcast. he off course is from a family with questionable character whose family was chased by the famed vigilante outfit bakassi. He ran to Lagos and embraced ACN and now APC and always attack his people just to fine tone with his southwest bedfellows. Have you seen him with any eastern politian?the answer is no! How long shall he continue to attack his people. Igbos and Yoruba are different and will forever be different because that it is natural. The truth is no matter how Mr Joe igbokw continues to attack his people to please Yoruba's,he can never be loved by Yoruba.
If Joe Igbokwe has never been seen with any easterner Politician what was Ben Ndi Obi(ACN VP Candidate 2007) doing in the same party with him? What about Okorocha?. Man, stop feeding us with lies.

If ND elders had opposed the illegal arms carrying of their youth from when their evil act started manifesting the area would have witness more progress. Instead the "edas" would pat the youths, thereby encourage them & also share in the proceeds from the the evil works. We don't want this on our land, we want peace, we want progress & we want our land to be as safe as it can be.
We are unleaching war on the Ijaw militants who do not want our progress. A chinese adage says, "if you want peace be prepare for war".

The difference between SS/SE & SW is that SW discourage militancy while SS/SE embrace militancy. Their youth are idle, only depend on Militancy but we dont want you people to entice our youth with banditry.
We want them crushed so that we can continue enjoying the peace we are known for. Unlike your areas which are always restless.

The vague idea in their heads is that it's Yoruba that is holding them back. They never sought to know their history, how their fore-fathers all in the name of protecting their interests went in collaboration with the Northerners to blocked their bloodless escape route.
