I don't think Xiaomi rebadges old devices as next gen devices. Since the RN9 series don't exist in China they got the Redmi 10x series.

It's a completely different generation so we'll be getting completely new devices in the Note 10 series.

but they do,like cc series and note series and mi a series and poco and redmi k series are sometimes just the same device with different names, but anyhow sha! Only time will tell what xiaomi plans are but i still think he should should wait because if xiaomi decide to release the note 10 series with amoled displays and mtk 820/1000 or sd 765/768 and he has already bought the mi note 10 lite he'll start suffering from buyers remorse

There's no proof the Redmi Note 10 will come with an AMOLED display. Following the launch pattern of Mediatek and Snapdragon and the market competition they're recieving from Realme in India, I'd think what we may get in the Note 10 series will like be a 90Hz LCD.

but redmi 10x 5g and pro have amoled displays, and we don't know xiaomi plans for the international market mixed with the fact that he needs sd card support is why i am asking him to wait and see if not i would have told him to try and get last year's mi 9 instead

It doesn't matter where they are made or were they are used,what matters is that these guys improve on two fronts.

1.the soc they use are usually lower in specs compared to similarly priced phones from Huawei,xiaomi,realme and crazily enough even Samsung's budget offerings.

2.they need to get better with software updates.This is kind of a general problem for budget Android phones but xiaomi and realme combat this by making sure they focus on their own ui(miui,realmi ui) and through them they keep giving even their budget phones software updates for at least 3years.
