Bahddo: wide-angle camera in video mode, at any resolution. I missed out that bit in my post. Redmi note 8 pro has it on its main camera (only). It's also better with pics than videos.
Bahddo: You know the best parts of the new Redmi note phones? They are the parts the majority aren't talking about because they didn't even watch the launch. The hear people say it's not worth it because 60hz, lcd no 108mp camera, blah blah blah and they jump on the train.
There are some small gains which would drastically improve user experience.
For example, my favorite part is that you can shoot raw images with stock camera. I first started hating infinix when I discovered my new phone couldn't snap RAW pics.
There is also the camera stability thing that was missing even in the note 8 pro, so if you are recording a video and walking, it would be obvious in the video. That doesn't happen in the Note 9 pro or pro max.
The image processing AI brings to the stock cam some features that many are rushing to get gcam for, eg night mode, and pro-color (snapseed guys should know this)
There is also a lot more haptic feedback variety that gives you a different unique feel based on what you are doing.
Those are besides the first 700 series SoC in a Redmi Note (720G on an 8nm process, which is rightly a big deal) and battery bump.
Say you prefer something else, but please don't say there's no difference between this and predecessors.
does that mean there's image stabilization at 4k.on the note 8 pro u only have stabilization option for 1080p
ringi82: Mine is getting worse. I changed the wallpaper, no difference. The phone gets warm unnecessarily, even without using. The worst part is, if its fully charged the night before, and i off it, by the next morning it's down to 30% when i on it! Without using it o. Something is eating up my battery juice
happened to mye when i had redmi note 5,turns out it was a media file(cartoon) that was causing it.try deleting any media file u downloaded during the period the battery drain started
Crixxx: THIS 1FUNNY. HOHOHO.. Whether the soc is very good or not once your friends hear "its a mediatek......' They already think its trash... But mtk is not to be trusted atall.. IPS LCD & mtk ee reach to cry truly.
my note 8 pro begs to differ plus the best midrange soc of 2020 so far is mediateks dimensity 1000.even frankie tech that hated the note 8 pro loved the dimensity 1000 on oppo's reno 3
Besides, what do you mean by Where did my Friend get the band 28 he is using on his RN 8 Pro?
Glo uses both band 3 in some areas and while band 28 in others. Please explain
it has band 28, i've used it in my area in lagos and only my phone gets 4g on glo even though other family members couldn't get 4g on their glo sims.and this was after switching from a redmi note 5 which also could not get 4g on glo in the same area
my redmi note 8 pro only has hdr 10 support from this list of g7 display features but I don't think its supported by things like netflix and amazon prime
maik99: Tech-savvy folks, LG g7 or Redmi note 8 pro?
apart from the smaller battery i think the g7 is d better device performance wise (sd845) plus its screen should be better. Can't judge on camera quality though cuz i don't have both for comparison
Delivery is via Jumia and there is facility for PAY ON Delivery for some locations Delivery within Lagos is 24-48hours Delivery outside Lagos is 2-5 business days 50% off shipping fee is guaranteed
chrisja: So I have used the Redmi K20 pro for aver 24hours now. Yea, the camera is cool, the amoled screen looks amazing, the overall performance is not bad. I am not a gaming person so in the longrun the 855sd doesn't really standout for me, I am not a picture freak, therefore the camera is just there, praying my woman doesn't see it. For me 4 things stands out in a phone in no particular order 1:Screen size( I like them big) 2:Battery Size (I don't like always plugging my phone to charge), 3:Ram, internal Memory and smooth operations, 4: Overall built Now in comparison with my Mi Max 2, the redmi K20 pro feels somehow too small holding it in my hands... I am so struggling with it the size compared to Max 2 As per battery, my mi max 2 is still a monster even after 2 years. As regards smoothness of operations, for day to day use, browse, make calls, do some transactions, read the k20 pro isn't really that far ahead of mi max 2. Its seems xiaomi and these other companies only reserve large memories for these top tier devices. Then for the overall built, the K20 pro is miles ahead of my mi max 2. My personal verdict, there is nothing so special about the k20 pro, infact I already feel like selling it. As of today, the phone will be up for sale come 5th January 2020, I want to see if it would grow on me else I am selling it and waiting for any big screen device that would deliver rugged efficient service for me.
Buzx: after gaming for hours how many percent usually remain?
depends on the game, forgotten memories is light on d battery like 2-3hrs for half the battery life, but grid Autosport in performance graphics setting at 60fps will suck d battery like crazy.though there's a battery saver setting in d game
KngGezy: Theres one thing about doing something once or twice and not being able to maintain it
Imagine if S10 came with LCD screen. The whole gadget world would have been agog with boycott it.
Xiaomi has been producing quality phones at their expense. And they are realizing that if they continue in such vein. They may not last long in the market. That's why the new phones are gradually implementing cheaper specs. They dont want to instantly produce phones with cheap specs so that they dont loose majority of their consumers.
But they are gradually injecting cheaper specs phones into the market. Very soon you wont be able to overlook a device because it will be totally very low quality
braimeddy: I have actually played heavy games like PUBG mobile on my RN8, it does not lag and I even minimize games like space marshals 2 and sonic dash to see if playing PUBG it will lag, but nothing of such. I'm just loving my RN8
and the mi a3 will almost double that performance bcoz of its low res screen
genius43: SD 665 Almost as powerful as Helio G90T and SD 730 for gaming please humour me.
its not. But bcoz of the 720p display on the mi a3 the performance is very similar to both devices when gaming. Just look at these benchmarks,in the onscreen test(raw performance with all devices set to 1080p) the mi9t and note 8 pro are clearly superior but once we move to on screen test(close to real world performance with all devices on their default resolution) the mi a3 performs similarly to the 2 upper midrangers while the note 8 with the same soc as the mi a3 but with a higher resolution screen (1080p) can't keep up with d mi 9t and note 8 pro
Samsimple: I'll buy the xiaomi redmi 8A this weekend.. I dont want to regret it because i know what i went through to save up. I was convinced by this thread to abandon those infinix and techno phones.. Please someone using redmi 8A should tell me some of its good and bad features(if there is any).. Is it good for gaming(thinking of installing pes)
if u're interested in gaming get the mi a3 from jumia. its sd 665+720p display combo makes it almost as powerful as the note 8 pro and mi 9t for gaming
