if your case is like mine where the update kept stopping and starting and wasted almost 12gb of data then the solution might be similar.i set my display timeout/sleep setting to never and monitored the update through the download app rather than the system update setting to make sure anytime it paused i would resume the update immediately and now am on Android 10

If you're updating to Android 10 on Redmi note 8 pro my advice is set your display timeout to never and monitor your data usage while its downloading.woke up this morning to see system update had used more than 9gb of data for an update of only 2gb and still failed (basically it was failing and resuming itself while i was sleeping) but i finally updated after following the steps above.

LOL.

5000 Vs 4000.

The difference is way too much though. At least, RN9S should be able to give 12-13 hours under conditions that should give RN8 9-10 hours. But our sweet RN8 go reach 7/8 hours then pack up!

5000 is my next battery stop...
arguably the best thing about 5g for a developing country like Nigeria is that we'll get the bigger batteries required to counter the battery drain caused by 5g without having to worry about 5g itself

na mtk you suppose blame no be infinix. I heard they were caught cheating with their benchmark scores
no,its the mtk g80 that xiaomi claimed had higher performance than a sd660.i don't think anyone compared the g70 to sd660 unless maybe it was infinix themselves

This, I am quite excited to see. If it's actually real world performance, then Qualcomm will have to eat it's heart out and make their premium midrange SoCs like the 765, 765G, 768G, etc cheaper.

They are enjoying too much of a monopoly right now because Mediatek hasn't really competed with them in the past. It's a whole new ball game now and we may have the Intel Vs AMD situation.

Unverified source claims the SD865 SoC costs $180.
Qualcomm won't change anything unless more phone manufacturers start using mtk products.its kind of like the amd/intel situation on laptops.even though amd's ryzen 4000 series are just better in almost every way and also more power efficient (7nm vs intel's 14nm) most laptops devs are still using intel in their flagship series and limiting amd to their midrange n budget lineup.Hopefully the change for Qualcomm will start with the intro of samsung and amds soc(if these one's don't get greedy themeselves) because Qualcomm basically ruined smartphone pricing this year with their overpriced soc forcing phone manufacturers to pay for 5g modems whether they need them or not.

the Dimensity 820 performance is also only surpassed by 855, 855+ and 865 in the SD lineup, according to Antutu.

Remains to be seen what it can truly do in a device though. Let's hope they aren't cheating again.
and also surpassed by dimensity 1000 that iqoo used in one 300dollar phone and hopefully will be used by redmi note 10 pro.

I thought spectranet night plan is limited to 100GB after which the speed gets throttled. When did it become 200GB
i've heard people say d same but the one i use at home has been 200gb for as long as i can remember

Swift free night browsing is not capped. You can do terabytes in a month.
do they throttle d speed

In a month? cant tell for sure. probably more than 100gb thats for sure. If you must change to swift, i advise try the swift merit plan first (which almost everyone uses)
okay

12k+ 40gb day and 200gb night.i just want to know d data cap 4 Swift's night plan

I have downloaded about 60gb in one night so I can't say if it's capped at 200gb. I have no reason to download more than I need in a night especially when average download speeds are 2-3MB/s and downloading a 45gb game will take some serious time, give it take, 4-5hrs provided the speed is constant and unwavering...
i mean in a month what's d highest data you've used from the night plan.i just want to know if i should stick with spectranet or go with swift cuz me and my brother's share the spectranet so if swift gives more data at night it'd be d better deal for us

200gb for one day or one month?
per month

The next option as I dey follow dem talk via DM on Instagram, na swift club plus whcih goes for #12790 which gives 40gb for 30days but the free night browsing time is still 11pm to 8am. This compared to paying 10k a month for 20gb and wicked time frame would be the ideal plan sha. The extra bar on it which is #2790 go pain me well well sha. I have to think about it. I have bad experience with ntel so not going back there. Spectranet doesn't give free nights unless it's on their unlimited package. These broadband ISPs are killing us man.
is the night plan on swift truly unlimited or is it similar to spectranet where the night plan is capped at 200gb?

This is why people hate samsung current exynos.even with its more powerful internals it still throttles and can't play pubg at a smooth 60fps compared to mtk helio g90t

Funnily enough, I never got to taste Tecno and her Siamese twin, Infinix. I did used their relative Itel though. Any MTK from G90T would suffice for me although 800 series of SD is my next point of call.
tecno and infinix were decent at some point and used whatever latest soc mtk brought to market, but it seems like when mtk couldn't mass produce the helio x30 and they had to use mtks lower end chip they realized the Nigerian market in general just don't care about specs and are more or less swayed by trends, since then its been the same helio p22-p35 story for them

Already ordered it bro smiley but my only fear now is the battery Sha
3100 MAH is small and I'm a very heavy user so I gatz to buy power bank now.

Any recommendations?
i think it has a 1080p screen but am not sure u can switch resolution like on the regular s10(guess you'll find out when u get it) but 1080p plus 7nm sd855 should mean 5-7 hours of sot which is still decent

wide-angle camera in video mode, at any resolution. I missed out that bit in my post. Redmi note 8 pro has it on its main camera (only). It's also better with pics than videos.
