Education / Re: JAMB Frustration Gives Fresh Secondary School Graduate His First Lesson In Life by timay1: 5:51pm On Apr 22 |
He is not ready to go to a higher institution yet. Nothing lost for him. Whenever he is ready, he will learn to read instructions on a document more than once as well as double checking the info on it. Also, when you get posted to an exam centre you are unfamiliar with its location, common sense dictates you look for the centre and familiarize yourself with the location before the exam day. Now he is blaming JAMB for his obvious failure. Unserious element 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Deltamani: All these you're writing is just fantasy.😂 We will loose that game. By how much we loose will only depend on how well we play. If randy gets his formation right, we will loose by a respectable scoreline. But if we don't get our game together, we will loose heavily. 1 Like |

Deltamani: Dey play. You guys think Spain aren't physical. E go shock una. I call it reverse stereotype. There's a stereotype that physical teams aren't usually technical. There's also a reverse stereotype that technically sound team that play tiki taka brand of football aren't physical or strong on the ball. Both stereotypes are bullshit. As far as I know, that Spanish team is not soft. Underate their physicality at your own peril. France women team wíll explain better to you. I remember Herve Renard packing the midfield in that Nations league final, and started their most physical midfielders, yet couldn't stop them. That Barca game was just a match where most of the players didn't turn up. They were misplacing easy passes and missing easy shots, even from 1st half. That's how I know that they wouldn't do much on that day. Even after everything, Chelsea only managed a goal and 2 shots on target. Which shows that they weren't pulling trees either. |

KGBKremlin: Dey play. Coups all over the world aren't carried out by Generals in the military. Those ones are usually okay with the status quo because they are already feeding fat and are contented. Coups are carried out by the disgruntled mid level officers ( Lieutenant, Colonels, Captains etc) Go check the history of coup both in Nigeria and abroad and you'll see it 1 Like |

Deltamani: You know, the oyinbos are just trying to be politically correct and not get accused of racisms, so they use physicality as the safe word. Take for example, Aitana and Ona Battle are physically strong players who use their bodies very well to shield the ball. You cant disposses any of them of the ball easily without fouling them by kicking them. Even pushing Aitana isnt even enough. I doubt any of the cameroonians can physically match those two examples. But because they are white, people will think they are soft, until they face them |
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by timay1: 10:11am On Feb 24 |
Deltamani: Straight up committing fouls is not physicality. You dont need muscles for that. The cameroonians were just commiting fouls up and down the pitch. They lost most of their aerial and ground duels against us, so they arent physical at all. If the referee did her job, they would have ended up with a shit load of yellow cards Straight up running into your opponents and kicking them aint physicality, its just dangerous play 2 Likes |

olabode89: Both of them have mastered the art of unnecessarily diving into challenges. And people wonder how our midfield is empty during opposition transition Players that do that always are actual lazy, because standing up to players and tracking them is actually harder. so they go with just sliding in. 1 Like |

ednut1:European countries don't really have communities. They are isolationist. So immigrants from the same countries just look for each other and form their own small community which eventually grows very big. How do they expect immigrants to integrate when they themselves don't like to mingle with them. Heck , Europeans don't mingle with themselves in a casual level like we do in African communities. An European will be living in a community and he's never even greeted his neighbor in years, or know the name of any of his neighbor children. |

daveP: Yea. They are making bs argument about the other clubs deserve to be there too etc etc Yes we know they deserve to be there, but not at the expense of the big money makers and crowd pulling clubs not making it. The market value and the money they make from sponsors will just reduce. There was a reason that UEFA cancelled 4th place from the Top 5 leagues playing playoffs to qualify for UCL and decided to give them automatic qualifications to group stage. It was because they are usually big teams clashing in those players, therefore some of them missing out. Imagine seeing Ac Milan vs Arsenal in playoffs back then. Meaning that one of the two will miss out. 1 Like |

Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by timay1: 6:31pm On Oct 17, 2023 |
Deltamani: Professionalism of the women's game and more intensity in the women's game is a big factor. Let me explain. Before the last few years, 2/3 of women's teams all over the world were operated on part time basis. Meaning that the footballers had other jobs, and they probably only train very few times per week. So the intensity of the game was very low, and their games are usually slow when you watch it. But since the last 5 years, most, if not all of the teams in the top tier leagues all over Europe and North America have become professional in nature, meaning that they are now full time. And the clubs now get their own dedicated training grounds for their women's teams. They get to train like twice every day with 1 or 2 days of rest every week, except match days. They training hours are longer and more intense, since they are full time professionals and that is their only job. The improved training ours expectedly helped improve the women's game more, as evidenced by the intensity and fitness of those games we now watch, because they now run more and the tactical inputs of games has increased as a result. However, what sports professionals didn't take into account now is the negative effect of professionalism of the women's game. More training and more game intensity results into more injuries because the women's body handles things differently compared to the men. It's no coincidence that a rise in ACL injury in women's footballers coincided with the period when the women's game became professionalized. People don't want to talk about this reason and have this conversation because they will be tagged as sexist or misogynistic. This conversation is in the same Whatsapp group as the conversation about reducing goalposts for women's football, or reducing the pitch size for women's football, as well as minutes played. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

The NFF gave her a perfect send off with the world cup. something that most of players male or female don't usually get. Even the NFF as useless as they can be at times knows enough that she's now doing too much by not bowing out. that's why they didn't invite her. Princedapace: The proxy war with China is not working. If anything, it's having the reverse effect on Russia. The USA made the same mistake they did with China those years back. Sanctioning china was what made them develop at very fast pace up to the extent that they are now competing with USA for dominance. Sanctioning Russia was always a bad idea. Russia didn't see itself as something since the collapse of the USSR, now this war have made them change their thinking and are now mover more towards self sufficiency like china did back then. They have the resources (both human and material resources to achieve that) The reason why the intelligent guys in USA pushed for globalization back in the day was to maintain dominance. USA can't be dominat without globalization. It's literally their weapon and why their sanctions usually work. Now that everyone is moving away from them, because they have over used and abused the use of sanctions, their sanctions would be meaningless and the USA economy will be getting affected every year. |

They Removed their Central Bank from swift payment system. Even if they somehow want to pay using funds from elsewhere, they literally can't, because they have no access to swift system from which payment can be made to them. 🤣🤣 |
