Eriksen and Mount don't play in the same position or role for their clubs. That is the main point.

My point is that ETh can make it work , by playing Double 8 with Mount and Bruno if he wants to.

Eriksen position doesn't matter. the reason why ETH can't play Eriksen as part of a double 8 is because of his poor defensive work rate, so he's using him as a double pivot.

Mount on the other hand can function effectively as one of the 8s

Mount does not even play in the pivot for Chelsea. He plays further forward in attacking midfield or sometimes on the wing. Only madness can explain a manager chasing him for 50m, and i don't think ETH is mad.

The crazy thing is that Martinez is currently injured. Why the rush? The sensible thing to do is to wait and watch him play for one more season and see if the injury won't become reoccurring and if he'll bounce back to his excellent self after the injury.

I remember correctly, Phil Jones was injured when they gave him that new contract. If the idiots running the club had waited 6 months for him to recover, we won't be in this situation with him, as they would have seen that he won't fully recover well from that injury and just let him go.

Finally, this same idiots running out club almost gave Pogba a new 400k contract. Someone who was always injured. They were practically begging Pogba to re- sign.
