@lanreade & @All, My school refer me to an Agent in Nigeria, I asked the International Admission Coordinator the following question after she referred me to the agent.

Does this Agent work directly with the school?

Do you usually refer your student to them ?

Have they helped a few numbers of your student to secure a Visa to Canada?


She responded to my questions the next day saying " They represent a consortium of Canadian Universities and the University of Guelph at Department of Foreign Affairs events. Please feel confident in their assistance "

I sent the International Admission Coordinator an e-Mail telling her what the agent said and she advised me to pay directly to the School not to any agent or third party. So Please i need advise on what to do. I wanted to go to MAPLE but i left this Agent will be reliable since the school recommended them to me.

Please what do you think.

I was advised that to increase my chances of getting the Visa, I should pay my tuition fee since i am applying for Winter 2011 . My Uni Admission Office refer me to the Agent who advised me to pay my tuition fee . Please house what do you think. I am planning to apply soon. Please i need advise on this matter.

I got my admission letter for winter 2011. Course Micro Biology . I have been following this thread and now i am kinda confuse about the whole process. I am using my Brother as my sponsor. We are trying to build his account to like 5- 10M. I graduated from Secondary school in 2004. I have a land in Delta state and abt 400k in my account and shares worth about 100k. My tuition fee is CAD $$ 16k for a session.

Can i use my two brothers as sponsors, ( They both work in the Bank)

what university did you apply to? i am curious cos i am in the process of applying to a couple in Manitoba and Halifax nova scotia for spring admission. your response will be appreciated.

I applied to Several Uni, like Trent , Uni of Guelph ETC. But I decided to settle for Uni of Guelph.

I defer my Fall admission because i couldn't meet up with the 3month Application to Embassy before Resumption. But i am planning to submit my Application for January soon. I don't know what exactly they want for TIES

I have my Land Cert and Couple of Shares Cert, Will this be sufficient?

@Hot stepper, My school has been able to work out something for me for Winter and they will send me the new letter this weekend. So i want to start working on my other Supporting Documents. I had the same problem too.  I got my admission letter and wanted to apply in August but i was told its late so i have to defer it till January . I emailed the Admission office to inform them on the situation report and  ask if it was possible to defer to January 2011.  I am still waiting for them  and hopefully i will get a good response from the school.

I didn't forged any document. This was the reason they gave me for the denial.

I quote "The Degree Certificate could not be verified and the evidence of previous earnings submitted do not corroborate the claimed earning and it therefore refused.

***For my Bank statement , they said i didn't include my Tax clearance to corroborate my claim of earning.

***MY Degree Cert, they said the office has attempted and failed to verify this document with the issuing institution using the standard verification procedure.further details are contained in the document verification report. (If we are unable to verify a document as genuine or false using standard verification procedures, then we are to ignore it as evidence for scoring point)

Institution is Uni Ilorin.  I heard that University of Ilorin don't usually response to them so for this reason i was denied.

So if i put in my Student Application.  Do you still think the previous decision might affect my new student application?

I followed your advise  and contacted the school to defer the admission to January but they are still trying to work out something for me for January 2011 because according to the Admission Officer " They don't have January in Take"

I pray that they should be able to do something for me and if its possible then Which Month do you think is best to submit my Application for VISA?

How much should be the Guidance Statement read?

Just forget it, defer your admission to Jan. if your school has a winter semester cuz you should have applied for a visa 3 months prior to the start of school which is 1st of june,
B/w, even paying full school fees does not give you an edge
