The biggest pool to choose from would be London's, but while the likes of Crystal Palace, QPR, West Ham, Fulham and Brentford would all love to contribute players it is Chelsea who would surely dominate a combined XI in the English capital. Alexis Sanchez and Harry Kane would rub shoulders with Diego Costa and Eden Hazard in a thrilling front four, with Cesc Fabregas and Santi Cazorla pulling the strings ahead of an all-star back five.

MADRID XI

The Spanish capital would provide quite a prospect if Real Madrid and Atletico joined forces. With the Blancos' biggest Decima heroes in Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos teaming up with Atleti's Liga-winning stars of Koke, Diego Godin and Raul Garcia, the toughest question would be as to whether Diego Simeone or Carlo Ancelotti would be tasked with taking on the world.

MANCHESTER XI

If Manchester City and Manchester United were to merge, the strength in depth of United's forward line would surely put them in a good position. Add in the familiarity of a City-heavy defence, and there is a formidable look about the side from northern England's biggest city.

MILAN XI

The combined Milan-Inter lineup sees a balance across the team in terms of representation, but also reflects the comparative strengths of both clubs at the moment. While the attacking half of the field shapes up well, the defensive ranks would still need improvement.
