sony sells 1 year Psplus for $60, a dollar to naira is (black market-570), (official rate-500). 500x$60 is equal 30,000. How are Nigerian vendors thieves? I understand that things are hard and wrong with the country, but you are blaming the wrong people for things being hard. Only CDKEYS sells those Psplus for less and even at that, now theirs has gone up to about $40 and not always available.

That’s the major issue i had with the guy. He sells a shared account and typically once sony find many people using an account they will notify the real owner to change their password and also activate a two factor authentication if they haven’t already.

At this point, you’re logged out as a buyer of the shared Psplus and your 10k is gone. With this level of risk, I do not expect his so called PsPlus to be more than 5k and I told him. 10k is ridiculous!

I eventually bought from some white guy online for 6 dollars (quite decent considering the risk involved).

Also Note: You don’t actually own the game with a Shared PsPlus account and that’s why it should never really be expensive if you decide to buy one.

you just stated facts. Only an idiot buys a shared Psplus account for 10k, an account that won’t take you up to 3 months before it’s resold to another customer and eventually you all are locked out. If you have 10k for Psplus, be patient and save up more buy your 1 year Psplus on your own account and enjoy peace of mind. There are different legit Psplus sellers here like , shopnextdoor, fowlyansh, xoxogames, or you can even buy your PlayStation gift card from Jumia and with that you buy your Psplus. Stop being ripped off.

To point this point out , the seller has no business explaining anything to anyone who isn’t a potential customer of his. Any explanation done here by sellers is simply out of courtesy or maybe because they hope to keep a good relationship with their customers. Note, this isn’t an attack because I do respect your points at times, but on this particular one, you are just trying to bully a seller that did absolutely nothing wrong just because of your skepticism.

Sometimes when someone says they are selling a device you look carefully at the person selling. Because you want to be sure it is the actual owner selling the item. Or a person who has the money to buy and sell. That is also what KYC is about.

Look at the pictures of different laptops, phones etc shown on this platform.

It is usually in some kind of showroom or a neat looking room.

Now look at the area behind the phone. A very rough, unpainted fence. Bare ground, no concrete, no paving stones.

I look at all that and I see a seller who may not have the resources to legitimately aquire the device he /she is selling.

Even here most people who are selling phones etc, you see a background of floor tiles or something of that nature.

You have to also wonder, why is the phone not already wiped?

Anyways this is just me. It may be nothing but a seller who does not know how to do small packaging or it may be a seller who is helping someone else move dodgy goods.

It is always for the buyer to do due diligence and risk assessment.

to be honest, all these are unnecessary for a clearance thread. Just let this one slide. If they package and upload, we are still the same one to complain about packaged prices. Your focus on a clearance thread should be the goods you are acquiring at a clearance rate, and not the packaging involved or if and wether a seller can acquire the items advertised. We aren’t in anyone’s pocket.

you should have some level of paranoia buying a used phone, particularly when you are buying on a platform that does not constitute a traceable business
