Sure if dollar is returned back to the original price... Minimum wage today is of far less value than 2023 may... If you compare it for highly stable items like usdt usd, gold, silver and the rest

How would u know when you have no basic knowledge of economics
If dollar is returned back then minimum wage should be reversed?, Lol.
Are you aware that the dollar was way lower in 2011, yet there was a demand for increase in minimum wage which was eventually approved. Foreign exchange does not determine the minimum wage but a change in the basket of goods and services.
Pls, try think well before opening your mouth to talk and besides, I will like you to send me a picture of your mouth, I want to see the shape.

Very hard for prices to come down in naija, even dick dey come down. It is now that I'm witnessing prices coming down.
If e no come down, apply aboliki or pepper, it will come down, that's what Tinubu is applying to stubborn and artificial inflation.

PoliticsCrash In Food Prices Shows Economic Policies Working— Arewa Think-tank by TimeManager(op): 12:17pm On Mar 01, 2025
The Arewa Think Tank (ATT) has said the recent crash in the prices of foodstuff across the country, particularly in Lagos and Abuja indicated that the nation’s economic policies are working.

The chief convener of ATT, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, in a chat with our correspondent in Kaduna yesterday said despite the economic policies of the present administration, no one was appreciating President Bola Tinubu, but to continue to criticise him.

He appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with Tinubu for more positive developments in the country.

He said, “We are still pleading with Nigerians to exercise more patience because they will see more positive developments than what they are seeing now.

“What Nigerians need to know in 2025, for the first time since President Tinubu took office in May 2023, is that Nigeria’s cost-of-living crisis has started to be on the easy side of life.

“When we followed a recent market survey in Lagos, Nigeria’s economic hub, it showed that the prices of key food staples declined in February 2025, easing the financial burden on cash-strapped Nigerians who have endured soaring inflation since the 2020 pandemic.”

He said the market survey indicated that a 50kg bag of foreign parboiled rice now sells for N85,000, down from N120,000 five months ago. Local parboiled rice dropped to N95,000 from N105,000 in three months. The price of a big basket of fresh tomatoes plummeted 70 percent, from N120,000 to N35,000.

“Also, a 4-litre paint container of garri now costs N2,500, down from N3,500 five months ago, while a 60kg bag sells for N37,500. A big tuber of yam now sells for N2,500 in Abuja and Onitsha, compared to N5,500 five months ago. In Port Harcourt and Abuja, N1,000 can now buy six to ten pieces of onion, compared to three or four pieces three months ago,” he said.

The convener averred that the drop in the price of beans, yams and garri was a big relief for low-income earners because it had improved every family’s diet.

PoliticsRe: NNPCL Has Not Imported Petrol In 2025 — Kyari by TimeManager(op): 9:27am On Mar 01, 2025
The misconception stemmed from the fact that some people confused every fuel Importation and attribute it to NNPC. But they are ignorant of the fact that there are independent marketers under different umbrella bodies who always look to import cheaper fuel from abroad into the country to complement the fuel supply in the country.

PoliticsNNPCL Has Not Imported Petrol In 2025 — Kyari by TimeManager(op): 9:21am On Mar 01, 2025
The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC, has clarified that the company has not imported a single litre of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, since the beginning of 2025.

In a statement on Tuesday, NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye conveyed Kyari’s remarks at the 60th Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society, NMGS Conference in Abuja.

According to Kyari, the claim by detractors that NNPC imported 200 million litres of fuel in the last days of February 2025 is entirely false.

He also noted that there are no quality issues with PMS across the country.

“The talk around fuel quality is unfortunate and a very bad marketing practice. It’s all drama and entertainment, and as we know, drama has a way of entertaining the people,” Kyari stated.

“I believe these regulatory agencies are doing their job. They have not come back to tell anyone that we have substandard products in the country,” he added.

Kyari stressed that the company has taken legal and security measures to ensure that those responsible for spreading such misinformation do not tarnish the country’s reputation.

He noted that the implications of such acts go beyond NNPCL, warning that they damage the entire nation.

While acknowledging that people may have their frustrations, Kyari cautioned that falsehoods should not be extended into business.

“These are just lies because we didn’t even import products within the timeframe mentioned in that report. All the mischief about aligning this fictitious importation with the so-called low-quality fuel is baseless,” he stated.

Regarding a viral video claiming that NNPC fuel is substandard compared to Dangote petrol, Kyari dismissed it as “unfortunate drama and bad marketing practice.”

PoliticsEFCC Uncovers Use Of Cryptocurrency In Illegal Arms Importation Into Nigeria by TimeManager(op): 4:41pm On Feb 28, 2025
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed that cryptocurrency is being utilized as a means of payment for the importation of illegal arms into Nigeria.

EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede made the disclosure on Wednesday while receiving participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 18 of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), led by Director of Studies Hyginus Ngele, at the Commission’s headquarters.

Olukoyede said this development is one that everybody must take seriously.

“We are beginning to see the likelihood and propensity that many people are into the illegal importation of arms into the country using cryptocurrency as a means of payment. This is an area that must interest all of us.”

He expressed surprise at how bandits and insurgents have managed to sustain their activities over the years, stressing that the flow of small arms and light weapons across borders, along with the involvement of non-state actors in the illegal exploitation of minerals, compound the security threats.

Non-state actors like NGOs under focus
He decried the fact that Nigeria has been besieged by various security challenges for nearly two decades, including insurgency, banditry, kidnapping for ransom, and farmer/herder clashes, which he partly attributed to the activities of non-state actors.

Specifically, Olukoyede noted that the role of non-state actors in exacerbating security and corruption challenges has not been fully examined.

“At the level of the EFCC, we have always been suspicious of the activities of non-state actors in areas where we face security challenges. In the Northeast, for instance, the activities of local and international NGOs have been under focus.

“This was a major impetus for the decision to mandate their registration with SCUML (Special Control Unit against Money Laundering), a department in EFCC, and a clear directive to notify the Commission on cash movements within the region,” he said.

EFCC warns Nigerians against fake TikTok accounts

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has alerted Nigerians to the activities of fraudsters who organised a live session on TikTok using the Commission’s logo on Thursday, 27 February 2025.
This was contained in a statement signed by Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity.
The fraudsters aimed to generate traffic and defraud unsuspecting individuals.
According to the EFCC, they used six fake accounts, all bearing the Commission’s logo and the names of non-existent directorates.
Some of the fraudulent handles include “EFCC of Nigeria,” “EFCC Lagos,” “EFCC Delta,” “EFCC of Benin,” “EFCC of Jos,” and “EFCC Saga.”

EFCC clarified that it does not operate any official TikTok account.

The agency also urged the public to disregard any social media account claiming to represent it on the platform.

“Now somebody who has committed these huge atrocities against innocent people is being given few years of jail term and is now released

People languishing in prison is another topic entirely. How many of them have access to a lawyer?. How many could afford it?. You're mixing it up. I would have it that you were careless with your initial statements and not well informed about your allegation as well.

Kindly read this below and judge

Reacting to news of Wadume’s release from prison, Executive Director, Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center, (CISLAC), Auwalu Rafsanjani, described the release “Misplacement of judicial justice system in Nigeria.”

He said “Those who are supposed to received stiff penalty for atrocities they committed are being pampered and given all sorts of leverages to come back and continue with their atrocities.

“What has happened just goes to show how administrative justice system in Nigeria is not actually responding to justice in Nigeria.

“Somebody who has committed these degree of atrocities, you are now treating him like a king; this is going to motivate and encourage more people to commit these crimes because he will come back and continue to terrorize the public. This in an ideal society should not happen.”

Rafsanjani laments that “People who are innocent are languishing in prison, some of them have spent 20 years, 15 years in prison without trial.

“Now somebody who has committed these huge atrocities against innocent people is being given few years of jail term and is now released.

“I think that the Nigerian state should be responsible for the level of insecurity, kidnappings, terrorism that is going on in the country because they have not taken necessary steps to deal with that and I think this is frustrating for the Nigerian people who have suffered from the consequences of kidnappings, armed robbery and other criminals terrorizing the Nigerian state.”
You're struggling, and I think I will just rest it here. Wadume was arrested, prosecuted and sentenced to jail, he was released after the expiration of his jail term. Whether the sentence was weighty enough is another kettle of fish. You can't just smear the judiciary out of your mere imagination just because a lot of bandwagons do it. Next time, get your facts right and stop raising falsehoods.

It's not an insinuation. It is FACT backed with public evidence.

It is one thing for our military to be doing their best it is another thing for our judiciary to keep releasing criminals in the name of 'REPENTANTS' back into the society.

If you don't want to kill them. Look for a very fertile land and make them productive to the society.
What proofs do you have that the judiciary is releasing criminals in the name of repentants?.. I would take this up with you, you had better have your proofs.
