Please how long is a F1 visa usually issued for?

Hello house,
Please i'd like to know if taking an invitation letter from someone in the us army will hold more water at the embassy?
I've applied twice for us visa and didnt get it. The first time i went with my mum she got it and i didnt. The second time i applied cos i was going to the us to do my clinical rotations as im a caribbean medical student and i didnt get it as well. My friend who is in the army and is now an american citizen for a year now has offered to write me a letter of invitation to visit from nigeria then go to school in the caribbean. i'm single and 26yo. what are my chances?

Oh thanks. So it has to be an F1? Cos those off shore med schools aren’t us me schools so I don’t know if students from there can be issued student visas but I’ll find out. Thanks again

Hello Lady G. I hope it’s okay if I ask a few questions. I have a friend who is Nigerian studying in the Caribbean. She wants to apply for visit visa to visit the us for 2 weeks during her break. What are the chances of her getting the visa as she’ll be applying from there and not Nigeria. She’s 26, single and her parents are sponsoring her education.

same issue with my friend who is applying from nigeria. he had to call me and i filled the form for him without hiccups. im in the USA. seems the problem is from naija server

Hey guru's. I've been trying to start an application to fill my ds 160 after i choose a security question i keep getting the session time out message. i havent been able to move past that and start filling the actual form. restarted my internet many times so i doubt that the problem. is this happening today or its just me. HELP

I know you’ll probably never come on here but if you do i’d Like to know how long you were off the island for before you went to the us embassy. I’m a Carib medical student too.
