Education › Us Firm To Build N600B Solar Plant In Unilorin by timiekay(op): 3:50pm On May 10, 2016*

An American company, Arrow Capital Nigeria Limited, has concluded arrangements to build a solar energy plant at the University of Ilorin at a cost of $2.3 billion (about N600 billion).
When completed, the solar plant is expected to generate a total of 500MW of electricity and significantly improve the level of power supply in the country.
Signing the project's Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), last Friday (May 6, 2016), the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Arrow Capital, Mr. Brian A. Travis, disclosed that the project would commence immediately and would be completed within five months.
Mr. Travis commended the Vice-Chancellor for his commitment to the project, noting that the project was coming up only five months after President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) made a commitment to solving power problem in Nigeria through solar power.
The Arrow Capital boss added that the University was chosen for the project because of the centrality of its location, which he said is ideal to transmit power generated to Kano and Lagos.
According to the Arrow Capital CEO, the project, when completed, would provide 10% of Nigeria's total power need and create jobs with several multiplier effects.
He also said that the culture of excellence in the University of Ilorin coupled with its stable academic calendar in the last 16 years, make the University an ideal location for the project, as this is a sure guarantee of security for the project. He added that the project would put the University on the global map.
On the source of funding for the project, Mr. Travis, who was accompanied to the MoA signing ceremony by the company's Director of Business Development, Mr. Brian C. Amonu, explained that it is an entirely private funded project. He pointed out that it is a good example of a private-public partnership.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Ambali, described the project as an opportunity to contribute to the effort of the Federal Government in terms of power generation and distribution.
Prof. Ambali, who stated that the project would guarantee 24-hour power supply to the University, disclosed that the University consumes only about 4MW of electricity and therefore the remaining would be sold to the nation.
The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that a solar panel assembly plant would be built in the University as part of the project, saying that it would enhance the knowledge of engineering students and the entrepreneurial skills of the students.
“This project will contribute significantly to Kwara State and Nigeria at large and will be ready for commissioning by October”, Prof. Ambali revealed.

I applied on 31st Dec, 2015 but my transcript got there very late, around late February. I was told in the mail that Sept intake is filled up already, that my admission would be in Jan 2017.

This heading is misleading. Supreme Court did not halt Saraki's trial, it only suspended it pending the hearing of his (Saraki's) appeal against the judgement of the Court of Appeal, which gave go-ahead to CCT to continue his trial.

Astronomers hunting for another Earth have found the closest match yet, a potentially rocky planet circling its star at the same distance as the Earth orbits the Sun, NASA has said.

Named Kepler 452b, the planet is about 60 percent larger than Earth. It could have active volcanoes, oceans and sunshine like ours, twice as much gravity and a year that lasts 385 days, scientists said on Thursday.

“Today we are announcing the discovery of an exoplanet that, as far we can tell, is a pretty good close cousin to the Earth and our Sun,” said John Grunsfeld, associate administrator for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington.

“This is about the closest so far, and I really emphasize the ‘so-far,'” he added, describing Kepler 452b as “the closest twin,” or “Earth 2.0.”

The planet was detected by the US space agency’s Kepler Space Telescope, which has been hunting for other worlds like ours since 2009.

This planet sits squarely in the Goldilocks zone – where life could exist because it is neither too hot nor too cold to support liquid water, the US space agency said.

“Today the Earth is a little less lonely,” said Jon Jenkins, Kepler data analysis lead scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California.

Kepler 452b’s star is 1.5 billion years older, four percent more massive and 10 percent brighter than our sun.

According to him, he used hub and spoke. so, I believe he must have created subinterfaces on the hub router. with that, there won't be any routing loop as he will only disable split-horizon on the physical interface not on the individual sub interfaces

The danger of that is that it could cause a routing loop, but as long as he knows what he's doing it shouldn't be an issue. Does he have a picture of his topology? In addition, what split-horizon is supposed to do is prevent route advertisements going out the same interface more than once in order to prevent routing loops.

Disable the split with this command on the hub's interface that connects yo through spoke:

no ip split-horizon eigrp x
(where x is your autonomous system number )

Fulaman198. nice work here. i need some help on troubleshooting my MPLS network. I have a hub and spoke setup where i run EIGRP. I need to do a hairpin routing at the hub so i can get to the other spoke routers. the problem is that i encounter traffic drop at the hyb router. I believe that split-horizon is messing up my traffic as EIGRP is a distance vector-routing protocol.
Any advice will be welcomed

Console port is on all Cisco routers and switches by default. On your packet tracer, just select console cable (Blue colour). Then click on the router, select console port from the listed ports.
Hope this solves the problem?

You can add serial interfaces via the physical view in packet tracer. Some of the exercises that you see, you are probably seeing a crossover Ethernet cable connecting the two routers together.

Since these exercises are .pka file extension, they probably block you from tampering with physical access to the router(s).

Once you add a physical interface, you may want to use a DCE cable.
