Truth be told, learning in deplorable condition is bad, but not having any learning materials in the best school condition is worse. About the renovation of the buildings, even a blind man can 'see' it will be more sensible to construct new ones rather than mend the dilapidated ones. |
FSU: They are Yoruba, regardless of party. Are you saying the works of someone in two years are more important than that of someone in over 4 years? |
'Rome was not built in a day.' If it was i'm sure all the active ACN governors would use the same method. Why not promote the goods of the administration you support instead of pulling others down. A saying goes thus: 'he who holds others down shall also not rise'. Thank you |
brokoto: I think at this point I have to give a little background of myself to avoid too many assumptions. If in your shoes I will simply pray to God to show me the true way to serve him- religion and study a bunch off 'holy books' so i'll also see and understand when God tells me the truth, by so doing, you will have a first hand experience of God and wont be here arguing. Just see it as studying textbooks and speaking directly to the teacher instead of arguing with fellow students. |
@ Frosbel Matt. 5: 10- Blessed are they which are persecuted for rightheousness sake for: for thiers is the kingdom of heaven. I said this because i see most of the early comments about Frosbel as persecution, it sounds as if something had transpired between him and them (the posters) before now. One thing i noticed here is that people want to be convinced about the truth of the Bible but do not want to hear from this same Bible, i wonder how this is humanly possible. But i know that with God all thimgs are possible. Here is my own contribution- the word CHRISTIAN was first uttered by people who saw Jesus Christ‘s disciples characters after His death and ressurection and said it was as Christ‘s, so they called them little Christ because it was obvious they were stiving for perfection in all they did as Christ did and taught while He was on earth, these were men and women who were preaching the gospel of Christ via every posible medium. Belief in God through Christ and acceptancee of the Holy Spirit is not something that can be bought or once gotten cannot be dropped, its something that lasts a life time and if kept and found worthy till the end man enters into heaven where he serves God till eternity. Allow me to use an analogy, when something is FIREPROOF this doesn't mean fire won't attack it, it means it will still stand after fire attacks, so accepting Christ doesn't mean automatic destruction of flesh, its the beginning of the fight against that (flesh), temptations, trials and tribulations will come, being able to stand or fall in the face of these is what makes or mars a Christian... I can continue, but i have to stop here, i hope thw spirit of God give understanding to the readers. N.B: Flesh used here means desires of this world and sin. |
channel 190: to show guys tipsokay oh |
@chanell 190... good for you, i just dont know why you have to post the thread, is it to educate or brag. He who has no sin should cast the first stone. |
Hello everyone, for a long time I've been fascinated by the current level of technology and been wondering what invention/ creation is the most important. The wheel is the most important for me, it is applied in every area imaginable, please say what you think and your reason. |
@poster, on many social networks are you and how many profiles do you have on each? Do u log in with each Profile name on different browsers or navigate the profile names when th need arise? |
@OP nice write up, post links to download your tracks here and see what happens from there... seeing/ hearing (in this case) is believing. |
Sijo01: Go after a dark skin girl from your tribe, get her some bleaching cream.....the rest will be history.hehehe... u just spoke my mind! |
Nice points, but i dont think he is actually involved in a gang already, could be that he owes a debt, since he just started. Im not so sure about the change of environment thing, cause i believe a real change comes from the inside, it could just be same trouble different locations if he changes location, he has to face his demons head on. My guess is that he started misbehaving to get his parents attention because being a good boy hasn't made him have as much attention as he needs/ wants. he still comes home, means he is not totally lost. Let him know that he shouldn't allow his parents' wrong parenting destroy his life that on the long run what he makes is more important than what was given to him, no matter his problems, once shared it is half solved, expose him to a middle aged, realistic, succesful man, who can mentor him..... Above all commit all into God's hands with fasting and prayers. |
lust, im.maturity, in.experience, st.upidity... grow up n teach her a lesson. |
Following the topic so i'll know when Afam will hide 3/4 of what was posted while he was asleep. |

Mr.chippychappy:Please im waiting for your facts which can be accepted in a court of law! |
Ibadan- largest city in sub-sahara West Africa, home of the premier university, capital of Oyo state, location of Cocoa house. I dont know why people fail to realise that 'iroyin o to afojuba'- tell tale can never be like what you see/ experience and 'oro okere ti o lekan ma din kan'- a story can never be narrated exactly as it is. @ba7man- you heard very wrong, how on earth will 75% of a state capital be slums? @bushwailo- out of touch and stuck in the past of what? There is state of the art of everything available here in Ibadan, there is no reason to get stuck in the past through Awo because the man is not even a descendant of Ibadan, know your history and details before you log on a public forum and start imagining things. @- wearing a modern look goes beyond changing of whats on the outside, you prioritise outlook over basic amenities such as good primary health care, sound education (formal and informal), power supply, portable water, good roads, mass transit... its when man has access to these and many more that he will comfortably make his part of the society what its meant to be. @others.. saw a post about Rivers being the richest, happy for them, but where was Rivers before the discovery of crude oil? (just asking), they say Ibadan is the dirty town with rusty roofs blablabla... yes it is, also its a town with modest people, who stive for greatness in every little thing they do, a relatively peaceful town with high standard of living, rarely will you get mugged on the streets, its a place i have lived my life and travelled to other places within Nigeria, but nowhere can compare with my Ibadan. All of you talking about the downsides of Ibadan please lets hear about the downsides of your city/ town/ village then we compare! |
I think the topic should be changed to: WARNING: 10 things you must do infront of your man! I think if you dont do some of these then you are not headed for marriage! |
Also, whats d RAM n processor type? |
Also it would be nice if d date a thread was opened shows on the thread board instead of when the thread is opened, i see threads i wanna contribute then open up and see there probably is no one following the thread again because its old. What i love most about NL is the ability to follow topics. |
wia in Ib r u? 250k, watchu say?! |
Dont know if this will make nairaland more beautiful, but it will help me in my use of nairaland. I think a nairaland application would be a good thing. |
Whats the least you can take? This car has been used for over 6 months because i can see old plate number, which has been stopped since end of last year on it! If its in good condition and not more than i have im willing to patronise you. |
Also i think you can get a lady he respects to talk to him about the situation so he will know that not all ladies are so unreasonable. Just offer your advice without involving you emotions for him as a brother do it like you are advicing a casual friend, this way he will know its his life/ future at stake and that you are not hating on the girl cause you think she's getting more of his attention than you have. Dont expect him to take your advice though, that way you won't be disappointed if he doesn't... cause people in his shoes know what is right but find it hard to do until the getting to a point they decide they can't take it no more! |
ekt_bear: Damn that was brutal.Abi o, i wonder why people are ranting about his Yoruba descent, when it is clearly stated he has been out of d country since the age of 3 and also drunk and under the influence of hard drug. |
Okay, thanks. |

LastApostle: The Ghanian police are here, human right group too, restaurant attendants, the press, passers-by,relatives of the girl and all manners of people. I aint going to no police station and no amount of intimidation will coerce me....And the dounce wants us to believe you had the time to type at the same time? Infact you belong to .... .... |
