Valto:Yes, I tried it already. The inverter fan couldn't run at full speed continuously and the fault light was blinking. It's a 12v 30A wellsee controller. Please share a picture of your controller or compare the picture of mine earlier posted to yours, if it's the same. Looks like the price of the one I bought was inflated. |
puffynana:I be learner oh... Battery DC to house AC. 1. Yes you can use electricity during the day, but it will affect charging rate. 2. You will need an inverter or UPS to power the house with. (The UPS conversion is cheaper) 3. The battery is small if the consumption is more than one person. You should have a battery that can store double your daily AH consumption. Try a minimum of 100AH, you should be able to get for about 35k. I'm want to connect my inverter directly to the CC DC out during the day to see if battery charging rate will be better. Has anyone done that before? |
Valto:I don't know anything about used batteries, just follow ceejay80s test tips and your intuition. By theway: The guy I got my battery from had 150ah VRLA for about 38k if memory doesn't fail me, I'll rather get such. |
Valto: Valto:...I know it's none of my business, but you got me confused, do u wanna expand your set up or are you building a different set up with the secondhand battery? I won't advise you combine new and used |
Valto:Remember daily battery discharge shouldn't exceed 50%, therefore you don't really need panels that can charge the whole 200ah fully on a daily basis if this rule is followed. deekseen:Does the hybrid solar charge controller have inbuilt inverter? Function of inverter is different fro that of charge controller, and as I sad earlier on, output current of charge controller (for solar panel) or smart charger (for PHCN charged set up) should be atleast 10% of battery ah mukhcech:No he doesn't have 40ah batteries. Here are the numbers of the sellers on their receipts: Show The light... (solar panels, CC, cables, batteries) 08033545426, Lagos- 08187173135. I didn't buy my battery here N. Olalekan Trading Stores- 08052666158 Cc: @rajo4real, @coderXO, @temizeee, @bobojoshua |
temizeee:Sign of DIY. I didn't understand how to attach using the holes under the panel, so I had to attach wood to the holes then wood to the roof. Adapt and survive. Please enlighten me about the proper way. |
deekseen:Your charge controller should have an output equal to at least 10% of your battery(ies) AH. That's is, 20A CC for 200ah battery set up, 30A CC for 300ah and so on |
billyG:Can't be enough for 400ah, would take about 2 days to charge one 200ah battery fully from low state. @coderXO Got it at N Olalekan Batteries, Ifeleye market, Oke Padre Ibadan
|
@afreekah @rajo4real @olorunda68 @pat077Battery was bought at N Olalekan Batteries, Ifeleye market, Oke Padre, Ibadan. Solar panel and others at Show the light, Salvation Army area, Oke Padre Ibadan, can't reach the receipts to copy phone numbers now, will do so later. @Valto Strictly solar charging for now, the inverter doesn't come with inbuilt charger. How much did you get your components? I want to compare prices. @Ayostically Set up is on 35w TV, 70w Decoder, laptop and various energy saving bulbs, runs during d day and been on for 2 hours tonight. @ceejay80s I just saw this advert on NL: Complete solar solution for lighting, electronics & fans 520w solar panel (4pcs. 130w solar panels) 12v 200ah battery 12/24v 50A controller Solar rack & Installation 1kva power inverter Total cost - N280k It's what you said about the amount I'll spend if my set up was done by an installer. Note: the inverter trips off if loaded with Freezer or pumping machine and doesn't work until you switch the heavy load off, then switch inverter off and on again. I hope I've been able to answer everyone. |
saint2ace:All components are brand new, bought at Oke Padre, Ibadan. Battery seller says it has warrantee, even uses same in his shop inverter set up. ceejay80s:Nah so oh, be like say I go take ham start business if person want make I help with the installation. |

Hello ceejay80s and all others who shared a bit of information or the other... I've been spurred to assemble a 200w solar panel, with a 10a to 60a MPPT charge controller, to a 200ah battery connected to a 1000w inverter today. So I'm still testing, will probably create a thread to give more details, but felt indebted to every contributor here who's input taught me a thing or the other. By the way all parts were sourced for in Ibadan. No be only Lagos get better things. |
Bookiemart01:The one on the certificate in this format NYSC/STATE YOU SERVED/SCHOOL ABBREVIATION/YEAR OF DEPLOYMENT/CALL UP Its your call up number with state of deployment. |
pattybf:Okay... I know it's possible, believe it or not. |
pattybf:Did you check the FRSC database or someone told you so? I'm not talking about hear say, go to FRSC website, enter your license number and DoB in appropriate tabs your details should appear if the old type you have/ had is original |
lonelydora:They presented the old drivers license number and a renewal was done without need for any driving school palaver... Tho one of them had to pay extra instead of going to bank... But it wasn't a first issuance by the time it was ready. They both went for data capture. |
lonelydora:I know atleast 2 people who renewed the old type to the new type without starting afresh. |
GAZZUZZ:Took me 4 days. |
Just read through the whole thread and I love the way lots of issues have been dealt with. What has kept people from asking questions? |
The four stroke internal combustion engine works on the principle of expansion of matter when it burns. Fuel + air enters cylinder (intake stroke) and it closes then gets compressed (compression stroke) after which it is ignited and burns (combustion stroke) causing expansion, the residue is ejected (exhaust stroke) and process restarts and this repeats itself onwards... Saw a Plump, well fed lady that fixed dreadlocks hairstyle, fixed eyelashes seated on the stairs of a pedestrian bridge with the right leg of her trouser rolled up to show an accident scar which I guess is her justification for begging. Was so annoying! |
Segzymacavelli:Hello, is it within a petrol filling station, what's the exact location, and pictures? |
eremy:7 of us were interviewed for this job on 7th Jan, and 3 of us resumed on Fri15th. Thanks Eremy, I heard about it through your post. |
anukulapo:LOL... I believe the safe keeping ish is Naija mentality, it takes two to tango. |
anukulapo:Had to put groom in the statement due to the way some ladies make it sound like it's possible to hold the event without one, whereas in alot of cases the groom does the most in bringing this dream to reality. He does the wooing, convincing, proposing, and payment of bride price, yet it's all about the bride... |
What we have failed to look into which would save us a lot of stress is that (i) Christianity is not a religion but a way of life (God is reaching out to man) (ii) Religions are a sub section of tradition, therefore every group of people with a common tradition have their religion (ways of reaching out to God). The wedding ceremony is meant for people and not God - entertainment of human guests. God will not come to wine and dine with you during any of the receptions or ceremonies. So as a couple (bride and groom to be) you are to choose how you want your marriage contracted or the wedding ceremony you want. That being said, as a Christian you are to fulfill the will of God (no premarital sex) and the law in anyway you deem fit. IMO all that's necessary to fulfill the law are the presence of (i) a person authorized by the State (government) to conduct weddings and supervise exchange of vows and symbol of love (if you subscribe to use of rings or exchange of any materials), (ii) witnesses; doesn't have to be parents by fire by force - there are orphans in this world, there are people far away from home and people do elope to get married (iii) a clean slate that you are not legally married to someone else at that same time. God doesn't need an ordained minister to bless anything us, all He says are for us to pray in the name of Jesus and have faith. Therefore, I feel a meeting of families of the couple, presentation of gifts and or items requested by a family (generally bride's family in Nigerian What we have failed to look into which would save us a lot of stress is that (i) Christianity is not a religion but a way of life (ii) Religions are a sub section of tradition, therefore every group of people with a common tradition have their religion (mode of reaching out to God). FREEDOM4BIAFRA:Why is it that you couldn't walk? |
naijaking1:SMH, I shouldn't have replied the first mention. Keep playing the victim. |
chiv:Here is your solution in writing, it makes these errors more obvious: 1. Making x a solution of itself in x=2^(2x-3) 2. Opening an outer bracket before the inner bracket to get 16^(2x-3) I agree with AK461, it's trial and error Or if you can do the wahala, equate each side to 0 and solve simultaneously. Cc @ Neyozak I hope I'm right.

coolzeal:coolzeal But only one of the three places you were hammering is in the Eastern region, and we know the SS doesn't appear to be in support of the Biafra nation. naijaking1 I expected answers like this because I'm used to having someone pull out the victim card anytime a matter is raised on this topic. The same governor that flew abroad when he had an accident, even though he commissioned world class hospital earlier this year. If you are talking about National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, it was established since 1945. 1. Efficiency and safety are of the essence but you think it's childish. Distribution from Lagos to lots of states in the Federation is easier than from any state in the SS. 2. You are blaming the Airport officials' corrupt and unhelpful attitude on federal government policies. 3. But I've never heard news of expatriates or private company officials being abducted/ kidnapped for a ransom in Lagos. 4. Was any of the companies forced to locate the company where it is? The enabling environment and receptive nature is what they chose. I was asking for best location of the state house if the three locations become head of operations for all federal agencies and establishments. 5. There's something nature does, it's natural selection; this just puts some places or people at an advantage over others in certain areas, and in another area the previously disadvantaged place is at an advantage, while the former I at a disadvantage in this other area, that's what strikes a balance. 6. I expected figures as the answer to this question. There's no monopoly in Lagos, it's an enabling environment. And I wonder why you expect the nation to shut down other areas to develop yours, why not look into an untapped area like tourism and carve a niche for the region in that area. oluwafemi113 Pikin wey say him mama no go sleep, him sef no go sleep// Person wey say him brother no go stand up, him sef no dey go anywhere. Doing all you suggested is tantamount to suicide as it means forfeiting all they have in those places outside Biafra and if nothing goes out of the region, nothing will come in. |
coolzeal:Your points have raised numerous questions on my mind and I feel like asking you some... 1. Can the region handle or is it safe to have the number of ships docking at Lagos with the various oil rigs and offshore installations that abound? What will all the machineries at the current locations be used for after the shut down? 2. Arrival lounge of Port harcourt airport is a canopy, the most corrupt airport in the world the terminal's unpleasant and unhelpful staff make it ranked the worst airport in the world. How will these members of staff represent Nigeria if all international flights of either Lagos or Abuja are diverted there? 3. On what grounds? (To appease an aggrieved group of people I guess) Can the security and safety enjoyed in Lagos and Abuja be guaranteed in the SE and SS locations? 4. This sounds like you want these 3 locations to become federal capital territories, in which would you have the state house built? 5. The choice of office location is and will always remain that of the company, so the government making such a statement will only sound as a big big joke. Where exactly will you have all the infrastructure built? Who would fund the projects? 6. Can you estimate the cost of all you have proposed in terms of time, man power and monetary value? I find your terms unrealistic. By the way airports don't bring development, development necessitates the construction of airports. |
Hizzy:If you mean Nigerian Defence Academy when you say NDA, then it shouldn't affect your admission into any other tertiary institution because the entry form is different from UTME form... |
