I'm also thinking about using a fixed deposit certificate as POF but my salary account statement has a very low balance. I'm not sure there is even up to 2k in it

Huuummmm fixed deposit is good if u can get another acct that have inflow and outflow. May be u get sponsor. Will advise it should be immediate family. It has upper advantage than using third party sponsor but nothing is impossible though

FYI all,

Don't know if Canada is blowing it out of proportion as most western countries do when it comes to matters affecting Africa. But if you're traveling to CA through Ethiopia, I guess you may need keep in touch with your airlines. And If you haven't booked yet but want to book Ethiopian airline, guess you have to call them first to get assurance that all is good and ok

I still have some concerns . I sent my passport and my 6 yrs old son passport to Abuja for stamping but I checked my tracking and I discovered that vfs failed to receive the documents and so the documents is on its way back to Lagos without visa stamp . I called DHL to know why but what they said that in most cases like that ‘ it could be that my documents was not complete …. I tried contacting vfs to know the right docs to send but Their phone has not been through.My younger son has a US passport.
I am so stressed right now..
This is what I sent
2 photocopies of my passport ,
2 consent forms
Documents received when I did my biometrics
Original international passport
Receipt of Transmission fee (N8,900)

For my 6 yrs old son
2 photocopies of his passport
Original passport
( he didn’t do biometrics so I didn’t add any consent form)
Please I need your guidance on the proper documents to send

I think u are meant to pay 8920 and not 8900

I am a bit worried on some issues related to students visa application requirements. My tuition fee is $12k CAD and from my research student must have at least $11k CAD for his total expenses per year. My case here is that, I will be able to raise the POF of $30k CAD but the problem I have is that if I submit my application VO will want me to submit my salary account statement but what I earn monthly is not up to #100k Naira, won't it be an issue for me? Is there a way I can escape this and note that I don't want to use sponsor, I want to sponsor myself and also do Canada accept fixed deposit documents and also for bank statement how many months must the POF remain in my bank account? Please advise me on what to do. Thanks

U can support ur POF if u have other business u are doing which u will say money comes in from

Secondly I used fixed deposit certificate with my salary acct. I submitted both and l got my PPR already.
To be on the safer side, let it stay for 6months maximum.

It depends on the type u take. Moderna is 4wks different why Astrazeneca is 6wk+ or thereabouts

Well I don't know ooo, but u can still meet up late Dec if u get Moderna or Astrazeneca now since u have been asking questions. Its just 4 wks different. Try to get it tomorrow and in 4wks time u get the sec dose instead of waiting and looking for Johnson Johnson.

I believe there are certain vaccines that are I'm unsure if AstraZeneca is a part. Do your due diligence and do some research.

Astrazeneca is part, is just that u will take two doses so if u are on a hurry Johnson Johnson is only one dose but don't think is in Nigeria

Hello Tinakem, as at when I transited in Ethiopia, it was very active and safe. I don't think there's nothing to be worried about as you will not even leave the airport. Besides, the war is mainly in the Tigray region and not Addis Ababa. So you should be safe.

Do you need to be quarantined again, since you have been fully vaccinated?

Just inform them you have been fully Vaccinated, the quarantine plan should not apply to you though..

Applicants that have been fully Vaccinated before leaving Nigeria can confirm this please..

Anywhere you are going to stay, include that in your ArriveCAN or when asked, you say, you have a place to yourself where you can quarantine if need be .

All they need is address and I’m certain they won’t ask since you are vaccinated, I wasn’t asked at poe.

I had to try Thompson rivers university got admission was asked to pay a certain amount with a deadline couldn't meet up had to defer... they gave me another deadline after which if I don't meet up the admission will be cancelled.... and Yes I didn't meet up again, I had to leave the whole matter, may be God no want make i travel.
Fast forward to 2021 I just chip the matter for my papa ear and to my greatest surprise he just told me to try it again but I was just having double mind if I should do it or not... I had to speak with some frds that gave me the morale to push it and today I have my Goodnews.
When I saw two messages from IRCC omo fear catch me..I rushed to the portal immediately to check, portal no con gree open I just leave am dey thank God though I had fear in me, after about one hour 30 mins, I checked again while slowly scrolling up with one eye open moving straight to final decision... immediately I saw your application was approved I just started crying, ran straight to my mum and told her the women wan shout ohhh... I just hold her mouth say make she no shout �. God of NSPPD, you have shown me Mercy, I am super grateful.

Hello everyone, I'm about writing my LOE for reapplication and I'm about attaching MBS rather than printing out my statement of account because it's quite voluminous.
I also realized that I deposited 40kUSD into my Domiciliary account in February before applying in May. This fund was from my Company (Husband and I own the comoany)for study and it's still there till now.

I provided the company's statement of account in my last application.

How do I tackle this as I'm about reapplying.
Note: I have salary account (8yrs) with inflow and outflow.

Your case is not tough at all, I think u used poor scanner to scan ur documents cos l didn't see anywhere they mentioned finances in ur application. Pls don't use phone to scan. Gather all the necessary documents and reapply, it will end in praise

I tracked it and DHL already updated the expected delivery date and time to my location.

Yes if u pay for two way delivery, DHL will pick it and bring it to the address you put down when u submitted
