I actually spoke to CBSA and they confirmed as a student, you have to leave the banned country to a third unbanned country for 14days, get a molecular covid test done in that country after 14days and must be 72hrs prior to when you will enter Canada. Another test will be done on entering Canada before heading for another 14days quarantine. A last test will now be done after the 14days quarantine in Canada. So all in all, na 1month quarantine a student go do both outside and inside Canada. I hope that's clear

But someone said now that if u are fully vacinated, u will only wait for 3days for ur test to be out, u will not do 14days quarantine @hoodboy, pls confirm

Flight on 15th from Ethiopian Airline and they don't go to Mexico.
I was at their office this morning. They suggested I request for refund or hold the ticket for 1 year validity.

I have been a silent reader, discovered this thread after submitting my application and I was sad because I missed a lot of things on my application especially my compressed financial document which was not clear enough after compressing it, but I keep my hopes high while taking notes of what I missed paraventure I need to reapply.
I want to thank everyone here for your post and comments as it became the source of strength for me these past weeks while tapping into people's testimony and learning from questions being asked.
Here is my timeline.
Application submitted = Sept 25th 2021
Biometrics done= Sept 27th 2021
Biometrics updated = Sept 27th 2021
Upfront Medical passed = Oct 25th 2021
Correspondence letter= Dec 01 2021
PPR= Dec 05 2021
First time applicant. I have been to UAE once 2014, US rejected application 2017.
MBA program in UCW Jan 2022 intake.

Whether upfront or by getting medical requests, I know it doesn’t affect VO’s decision. I’m only saying that if he wants to do upfront medicals, he should have done it before submitting the online application. Because uploading his e-medical sheet after submitting his application would be a problem.
So he should either do it before application submission or wait till he gets a request for medicals to avoid complications.

He can do it after submitting his application. There is no particular time to do upfront. He can do and update it with webform. Nothing spoil

Look for the sch that has ur course, talk to them sometimes there is nothing impossible. Your 2.2 is higher than mine and l got Msc admission and PPR. Try it urself pls

Hi All,

I want to advise and suggest to members who are supposed to resume their studies in January 2022, please do not sit down and twiddle your thumbs over this travel ban on Nigerians, as it is now the ban is in place till Jan 31st 2022, according to the Canadian govt.( It might be removed or extended by then) you have to do something, it will cost you time and money but at least you would have taken your destiny in your hands.

1. Reach to your school to know if online classes are available so you can join if you want to do online classes, bear in mind the time difference and data cost.
2. If you can afford it, travel to any neighbouring country and chill for 14 days and leave from there to Canada, by doing this you would have by passed the condition of the ban. Doing this will mean you would be paying for covid test at departure and arrival and incurring hotel cost at any of the country you go to.

Please weigh these options and decide to act on one, lets not just be praying and not acting.

My wife just got to Canada Early this morning .As a travel Consultant she changed her ticket to Monday Morning (Nigerian Time) to Arrive early Hours of Tuesday Morning (7:45am) via Ethiopian Airline. we where ready for the worst as fully vaccinated she might be forced to quarantine ...etc
But her POE was smooth no much questions asked probably because there was crowd and about to switch shifts, infact she had a long lay over for her connecting flight to her end destination before we heard about the ban...
She was just lucky......

Is not about the issue of background check self, that one doesn't take longer, I submitted on 25 my background check was completed on June 2 that was d day my biometric was completed too. I think the best is to wait for ur GCMS note to see clearly VO's concern.
