See the amount he's shamelessly saying he allocated as contract to build classrooms. Shameless politicians.
Rivers people have gained nothing from ur marriage with APC, the only people who have gained from that marriage is Tinubu, and Buhari, yet you still expect rivers people to vote APC. You better go to the southwest to contest elections, because that is where you are seen as a hero. Not here in rivers May God continue to bless right thinkers like you. Please come out to vote on Feb 14! River State went to the Dogs in the past 3 years. I read Buhari saying GEJ should use the campaign funds generated to generate power.... and lots of supporting comments from APC Supporters in that thread. Yet these same people were giving Amaechi the thumbs up for for spending Shamelessly Rivers State money single handedly for the nomination of Buhari in the hope of being a VP. I waited Patiently till this news was confirmed and here it is. Back to Governor Amaechi... Please what else did they promise you? Senate President The lack lustrous activities of this administration's second term to the people of Rivers State had been mortgaged for personal ambition, I had truly hoped that he would at least have one prominent position that would justify the enormous financial support that you have given to APC and also the disgraceful rambling against the Federal Government and caricature fights here and there against the legislature, police, the Judiciary in Rivers State. I cant join people to say Ntor to Him because as I well knew(See me in my little Silo knew this will be the outcome) that no good could come out of this, Rivers People are the greatest losers, Go to Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers (Where most of us will gladly go spend our resources this Christmas) and weep for Rivers State. |

spenca: That General Muhammadu Buhari is a religious zealot who will turn Nigeria into an Islamic State is yet one more diet in the menu of those political, ethnic, and religious rumormongers and pundits. This nonsense is tragically believed by even some of our innocent citizens because the media of the Lagos-Ibadan axis in particular, see it fit to carry out the tale for sensationalism, for profit, and because they have been financial induced by Muhammadu Buhari’s rivals. One wonders how General Buhari who introduced severe restrictions on the number of pilgrims to perform Hajj [in order to conserve the foreign exchange] could under any imagination be the one to establish an Islamic State? General Buhari’s curtailing of the rights of Muslims to perform a fundamental religious obligation was a feat no past leader, military or civilian had dared to conceive, hence the action was certainly unwelcome by all Muslims and it brought General Buhari’s government at logger head with our clerics. It was reported that our erudite scholar, Sheikh Abubakar Mahmood Gummi [May Allah have Mercy on him] was actually placed under house arrest over the issue and other matters of concern for “security” of the State. So to ignore all these unpopular actions that General Buhari’s government took, and to lampoon the same person as an “Islamic zealot”, “fundamentalist”, and so forth, is beyond human intellect of reasoning. If Muhammadu Buhari could not establish an Islamic State at the time his word was not often challenged, how could he possibly create the same in a democracy? Yet even as I write we have a "president" that has misused government’s resource to build a Church and pulpit, with a paid and full time Chaplain, and uses these facilities every Sunday to broadcast live on national networks his evangelical Christian prayers to Muslims, Christians, Traditionalists and atheists Nigerian population. Not one of our so called national electronic and or print media from the South found it fit to cry foul because the president should know that such hypocritical sermons do not represent the Faiths of the majority in Nigeria and it was time he was told his insensitivity has been “a joke carried too far”. It is all well and good when national houses of worship are built from resources of followers of those Faiths, but when the president builds a Church in Asorock, the seat of government, and used the naira and kobo of the tax payer to do that then the message is loud and clear. Religious partisanship in a multi-religious, multi-cultural society like Nigeria is unacceptable, and I believe in my heart General Muhammadu Buhari will not be that president. So all the hyperbole about the man’s religious extremism does not hold water and leaders like Reverend Hasan Kukah and General Yakubu Gowon who know Muhammadu Buhari have spoken out in favor of his non-partisanship. Kindly clarify the "president " that did this and the channels broadcasting the evangelistic message ; which usually would be to Love one another abeg.. it seems i have missed it. |

Please let me see if i get the story behind this saga,
The intent and purpose to reconvene the House of rep was to deliberate on the issue ot the extension of the emergency rule in the affected states, The Police stopped the reps from meeting for reasons that people suspect to be an impeachment against Mr President under the guise of maintaining law and order based on some intelligence received. The Reps led by the speaker of their house somehow still gained access amidst stiff resistance by the police , in doing so harassed Speaker of the NASS and then they commenced an impeachment notice against Mr. President (Due to his Lawlessness) and then On Monday; today.. they failed to assent to the State of Emergency and hence the rumored pull out of the NA from affected States... In the midst of this 48 fish traders were Killed by BH and here we are at page 10 of this thread. |

Sincere9gerian: That is the truth and nothing but the truth. After all, sovereignty lies with the people. If certain people, because of religion, chose bokoharam over Nigeria, then there's nothing the commander in chief or the military can do about that. After all in some countries, the people have forced their president to either resign or flee the country. The president is also an ordinary human being with no supernatural powers.
Anyway, Now that the cease fire has failed due to bokoharam reneging, may God punish any Northerner or any Nigerian who talks of negotiations, carrot and stick, soft approach or compares bokoharam with Nigeria Delta militancy.
Meanwhile, I expect APC dogs to avoid this thread because they are ENEMIES of the truth Oh didnt you hear that they (APC) are asking the President to account for the money paid to the "fake Negotiator".. that is where their focus lies.. not on the Lives at stake, whether in captivity or potentially to be murdered victims of BH tomorrow.
