A lot of teenagers in the UK actually go through lots of mental issues and you'll be very shocked when you get to realise the number of youths who have self-harmed.

If they say they're going to hurt themselves, please do not dare them because they're actually gonna do it.

Please why are used cars on different Facebook groups cheaper than the ones on the likes of auto trader and the models on the Facebook groups are even more recent? Is it safe to buy from such Facebook groups? How can I avoid/detect scammers?

Probably scams. Probably not.

Private owner seller on FB is likely to be cheaper because they don't have to pay for all the admin costs that autotrader and other car websites carry.

In addition, private sellers on FB market are most likely selling to dispose of the vehicle for personal reasons and so would be happy to sell at a price much cheaper than the dealers who are doing theirs for a profit and would have added their markup on top of the normal selling price of the vehicle.

To avoid falling for scams, always insist on a physical inspection and when there, ask for the vehicle's original documents to make sure registered owner's details match with those of the seller or whoever they might be representing.

If the place is too far for you, skip.

And if you request for their address to come and physically see the vehicle and they instead ask for your email address so that they can send you more pictures and details, skip again. They want to send you malicious code in the email that will grant them unauthorized access to your device.

Hello people, urgently need advice on this please. I received a parking charge notice from a private company for not paying for parking at a local retail store. The date of the incident was 25th May, the date of the PCN issue was 28th June and I saw the letter in my mail box on the 6th of July. Pretty sure it was sent a day or 2 before that as I regularly check my post. I have been reading up and I saw something about a 28 day/14 day rule which allows you challenge such tickets if not issued within that timeframe. I need to make sure I am reading the correct information as I am so pained I have to pay £60 for a £1 parking. Any advice will be appreciated

LOL.

Was the retail store Aldi?

I'm guessing you'd probably have responded to the matter by now. Just saw your post.

Happened to me the first time I decided to try out Aldi. Their ANPR cameras pick up the number plate of every car that comes into the parking lot. After shopping and at checkout, you're expected to scan your shopping receipt at their designated machines to notify the park management company that you had come in to shop. If you don't do that, they'd assume that you'd just come to use their parking lot for free.

Just email your shopping receipt or bank statement showing the card payment (if you haven't got the receipt) to the collections company telling them that you'd actually come to shop at the store and they'll drop the matter.

Buuuut, if you had actually gone in to use their parking lot without shopping, just ignore everything I'd said and act like you didn't see my post.

I will not judge her based on this because we don't know what the pain she has been passing through in that man's hand.

The peaceful and peaceful man may be a wolf in sheep's clothing. It is not a new thing that 80% of men are nice to outsiders but a beast at home.

That some of us can't go this far in our outburst does not mean the people that do are bad, we all have different ways of expressing our anger. Let me even tell you all that most people that express their anger are weak at heart and quick to forgive. So think twice before passing your unsolicited judgement. May God heal that woman from whatever that have made her do this publicly.

I heard her say this is Nigeria, does it mean he has been showing her shege abroad? Anyways I no dy put my mouth for married people matter

After rushing to run your mouth to heap blames on the man and defend the woman's act of malicious vandalism, you end your post by saying you don't comment on married people's matter?

And where do you think it's easier for a man to show a woman shege? In Nigeria or abroad?

WannaHowzit:
Hisense’s new 100-inch U7K ULED Mini-LED TV is being produced at its Atlantis Factory just north of Cape Town - a first for the company and a big vote of confidence for the country’s manufacturing sector.

It is the first 100-inch TV made at the Atlantis facility and the first 100-inch TV Hisense sold in South Africa.

Hisense unveiled the new TV during a recent event at its factory in Atlantis, which was attended by trade and industry minister Ebrahim Patel.

Patel celebrated the launch, saying, “Today we announced a big-screen TV, 100-inches, that is produced for the first time here in Atlantis and will be sold across the world.”

“The next time the Springboks win the Rugby World Cup, the nation can watch the match and the celebration on big-screen TVs made in South Africa.”

This milestone follows several recent achievements by Hisense, including being recognised as the Best TV Brand in 2024 by MyBroadband and as the second-largest TV producer in the world in 2023.

The Hisense 100U7K is headlined by four major technologies — Mini-LED, Quantum Dot Colour, Hisense’s Hi-View Engine, and Game Mode Pro.

Hisense also packed the 100U7K with an extensive range of HDR technologies, including Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive.

Hisense confirmed that the 100-inch U7K TV would launch in South Africa at the beginning of June 2024 at a recommended retail price of R79,999 (N6,7million).

JPY did well to strongly fight back after several months of devaluation against its major pairs, which were all in overbought conditions.

EurJpy on the W1 chart is showing signs of a continued down trend so I guess I'll leave my open trade to run to around 160.15. Started with N160,000 deposit. Heading to N400,000. Paining me that I closed the CHFJPY too early.

I think XAUUSD faces strong resistance around 2070 - 2090 zone. Still monitoring and hoping entry point gets clearer by tomorrow.

The resulting career trajectories of both personalities are also quite contrasting and talk for another day.

But I don't still understand why people are complaining to be honest o.

During the campaigns, the person currently serving as president did indicate that the common meals of the people were bread, cassava and agbado, which he was going to make available.

The other contestant was promoting the idea of economic growth by moving the country from the status of a consumer to a producer.

In the end, some people decided that bread, cassava and agbado was preferable to national economic growth.

So I still don't get why people are complaining. undecided

If there's any sympathy to be shown, I think it would rather be for those who voted for the contestant that was promoting economic development through production. Edo state readily comes to mind. At least the people of the South-East had already foretold what was to come.

Well done o my people, you guys are doing a fantastic job here. Since I initially learned about forex trading at a seminar back in 2007 (16 years ago), I made the decision to rekindle my interest in it again sometime last week. Recently, especially in light of the current economic challenges here in NA, I have been considering starting a side hustle to supplement my 9 to 5 income. I work from from home, my work hours are really flexible. I wouldnt want to waste the luxury of time I have presently. I have conducted a good deal of research leveraging online articles and videos from YouTube. I eventually decided to use CMC markets platform to start trading on a demo account yesterday. I have been able to execute a number of trades (buys) as trials so far, all of which have resulted in losses (thank God na demo account). For now, trading currencies (USD/EU) only. I want to take my time to learn about forex trading and not rush into opening a live account, so I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on how to go about it. There are quite a lot of things I need to learn about forex: concepts, terminologies, strategies, etc. Your positive feedback will be very much appreciated. Cheers!

Hi Abass.

Welcome back.

If I could suggest:

1. Stay off trading for now

2. Take enough time to go through videos in the channel below
https://m.youtube.com/@thetradingchannel
Learn to develop concepts like trading strategies to use, which indicators, entry, SL, TP points, trades to avoid, etc.

3. When you're confident that you've learned to a reasonable degree, attempt trading only on a demo account

4. Switch to live trading only when you've consistently made profits (say 80% success rates on the demo). In reality it is more difficult to succeed on a live account than on a demo.

5. On the live account, trade only small amounts. Avoid trades that will take up to 2% of your account balance.

6. Whatever you do, never set targets of how much you plan to make in a week or month. It will push you to be greedy and with that you lose your ability to make objective analysis. You'll take on too much risk and eventually lose your money.

Hope this helps.

Thanks cheif kiss But on the bolded, The term General trend direction is subjective coz obviously Gold is on a very serious uptrend. Trend direction on a weekly might be an inverse on h4...

Additionally there's no way any trader would knew where price is headed before taking a trade. We are just acting based on the information the market has provided. We might be right or wrong.

Do I really need the ATR? 🤔 I think price action has already told me where to put my entry, target and stop.. Just asking.. I've never used ATR b4

Finally I think I failed because I kept on risking the amount that's way above my risk appetite and knowing that SL hit will result into loosing a terrible % in a single day.. I activated the deadline mode trying to rush things but my mind isn't ready for that.. I really appreciate your imput sire kiss

Ummm... I'm sorry but you really should know where prices are headed before you enter your trade, otherwise you'd be playing a guessing game with your money. Start from a large timeframe (like monthly, weekly) and work your way down the time frames to get an idea of the price direction.

Yes gold might be in an uptrend, but it had only recently got to a major, major resistance point (2070-2140) so who knows if it will behave like it did in Mar 2022 and Aug 2020 and pull back to major support zones at 1600-1680 before resuming its climb again (meanwhile you've been buying during the current pullback instead of selling).

I'm not sure if you've across him before, but you might wanna consider checking out this video and others by The Trading Channel. Absolutely awesome tips that he reels out on a consistent basis.

I'm posting this as a response to the topic that made Nairaland front page yesterday; "See What Someone Bought With An Hour Minimum Wage In The UK £10", the link: https://www.nairaland.com/7929193/see-what-someone-bought-hour

UK & US ARE OVER-RATED NIGERIA IS STILL BETTER in terms of cost of living see a practical example why doing a price comparison: 1 pound to 1 naira today is N1,001 so are you saying with £10 x N1,001 = N10,001 you cannot buy everything in that basket and collect change in Nigeria today?

1 Sliced Bread = N800
2 Spaghetti = N1400
1 Gesha = N600
1 live chicken = N3,000
1 75cl soya Oil = N1,400
1 Midium size Butter = N600
2 Gino Tomato paste = N1,000

Total = N8,800 so your change is N1,200

Sorry my brain stopped comprehending all that you wrote, as soon as I got to the bolded part.

Nigeria's minimum wage is expressed as a monthly salary which is currently N35,000 per month. How much is that per hour?

9am - 5pm with 1 hour break in between translates to 7 hours per day or 140hours per 4 weeks. So basically the minimum wage per hour is N250 per hour.

If you were going to be factual, you would be comparing foodstuffs that you can buy with N250 in Nigeria and foodstuffs you can buy in the UK with £10.42 (or £9.16 after tax deductions).

So what foodstuffs can you buy with N250?

Let me keep this here

I was so confused on gold today. The differences between the 2 brokers cost me 2% loss ..I was waiting on this H4 candle breakout that happened on Oanda to confirm my buy and so it happened and I bought on retest, market obeyed for a while then it started moving towards SL.. Why is this happening, I checked my pepperstone broker only to find out there was no breakout, so I got scared and closed manually with 1% loss after the buy initially gave 3% profit... Its time to sell, no breakout on pepperstone broker and H4 uptrendline has been broken, so I sold and the market started going the buy direction instantly... Oh No!! May be the breakout on Oanda was valid, another 1% down, I closed again. I hate to trade news and I know that will be the only answer to my question on wether the H4 breakout is valid or not so I stayed out.. Pepperstone broker won, the breakout on Oanda was fake... it's a loss but I'm glad it left with a knowledge of confirming a breakout from diff brokers b4 acting... It would have been a normal loss if the fakeout happen on both brokers

Till Next week : Aluta continua, Victoria ascerta!!!

Xauusd tends to have large daily movements. Might be a wise idea to consider ATR when planning your entry point and having sufficient allowance to accommodate your SL point.

In addition, if you knew where the price would head before you placed your trade, you'd be more confident and not panic when fake outs occur, because it'd still be within your SL point and you have the foreknowledge that the price would later reverse and head in the direction that you had in mind ab initio.

- Determine general trend direction
- Plot sufficient space to avoid fake outs triggering your SL

Peace.
