Dear Nairaland Mods,

Stop giving unfortunate people your front page for audience.

This dude Freeze asides from being an opportunistic person is very irresponsible.

Ask him where his children from his first marriage are ?

They literally dispised him like feaces and have refused to let him come close to them for 11 years.

He has the temerity to hijack a fellow man's wife and flaunts the "after 3" as a price after he refused a court order to iay N5m for committing adultery.

If there is any entertainer or broadcaster or OAP I personally detest, this Freeze is the no 1 on that list.
Focus bro. Focus.

Focus on the message.

After sometime, they’ll promote Japa again and repeat the same cycle..

You have said it all. Most folks dont know that the general election is not until 2029. Also, reform gained lots of councillor seats but only control fewer councils than labour and Libdem in England. Also, Reform was rejected in scotland. The general election might be different because most reform councillors will flop.

Some of them have already abandoned the job.

Is there anyone familiar with the Lexus RX 400h? What are the do's and don'ts of this car, and I am unsure if it's available in Nigeria. I got it from the UK.

Do you guys think it was a nice choice of car? I am currently using a Freelander gotten in the UK about 10 years ago.
I used to have one with an '08 plate.

Sold it in late March because of battery issues and the fuel economy. It was a 3.3L engine that gave me between 25 - 30 mpg, compared to another car with 1.6L engine that regularly did 60 mpg (diesel engine though).
So that was kind of a big deal for me as I make a lot of long distance travels.

There's of course the premium Lexus feel (powerful engine, sound systems, leather seats and trims) to consider on the plus side 🙂

It's funny.

In the UK, some very experienced medical consultants drop their Dr title and revert back to Mr.

My former CEO just goes by Mike.

I just see this obsession with titles among Africans as a vain weakness.

Foreign AffairsRe: Immigration Fears Grow Among Africans After UK Poll Results by Tinyemeka(m): 6:08pm On May 10
1. It was councillorship elections. Councillors are responsible for deliberating issues in their respective councils, such as street potholes filling, budgeting for the council, policing matters, etc. They have no powers over immigration policies. General elections fall due by 2029, except the Prime Minister gets forced to call an early election.

2. The election was not held throughout the country

3. Some of the winners under the Reform party are not fit to hold office. For example one winner is currently on holiday in Thailand, as he said he was no longer interested in running, another winner resigned immediately upon winning, while another is nowhere to be found. Many of the Reform winners (includes kids who just finished their A-levels) just went in to try their luck and catch cruise. Dumb voters just cast votes for Reform even when they did not know much about the candidate.

4. So you have the same phenomenon where naïve voters led by "beer-parlour a.k.a pub experts" were casting votes for Reform, even when they did not know who the candidate was, just like in Nigeria where voters are led by 5kg packs of rice and loaves of bread to cast votes for party logos, even when common sense should tell them that the candidate would be a massive fail. In the UK, the Reform voters simply swallow the immigration propaganda fed to them by Nigel Farage. The same knave who led them to Brexit, for which they're still paying the price and reconsidering their decision.

The werey is currently stateless in one IDP camp btw turkey and Syria with two kids born to dead ISIS terrorist

Funny enough, if she had been allowed in, she'd start claiming benefits for herself and the kids born of terrorist fathers.

For those that may not know the history of this project.
This project was originally conceived as Renaissance University Teaching Hospital. The Renaissance University is owned by the former governor of the state Chimaroke Nnamani (1999-2007). The construction reached an advanced stage before work was stopped by the EFCC which seized properties belonging to former governor Nnamani. According to the EFCC, the property and many others were acquired by the former governor from proceeds of corruption.
The land in which the hospital is located was the then commissioner’s quarters.
In 2023, the EFCC handed over the seized property to the Enugu government.

I'm sorry but I'll have to disagree with you on the bolded.

There are so many reasons why a bank may place restrictions on an account, among which may include suspicious activities.

You will always be given the opportunity to prove the source of funds and if the bank is satisfied about the legitimacy of the source of funds, I doubt that they'll have any legal reasons to continue to withhold your funds.

Did your bank ask you to provide the source of the funds?

Were they from a legitimate source?

They spend trillions on defense equipment they never get to use.

Making use of these weapons in the war against terror is a huge win. 😁

Your post is quite an eye opener.

Why e be say British universities no get plenty of scholarships ni? embarassed
I don't know to be honest, but I was going to say that they don't have the funds for that.

Tertiary education was initially free up till as recently as 1998 and has only changed by little since then. The government as a matter of fact froze any tuition hikes by universities since 2013 and only recently allowed the schools to increase the tuition fees marginally.

The universities had therefore had to rely heavily on international students to meet their funding gaps, so any scholarships would be seen as a reduction on their assumed tight budget. I don't think they receive the same level of endowments that US unis get from their alumni.

Maybe because they don't view sex in a prudish and sanctimonious manner as we do. Sexually liberal Nigerian ladies are categorised as "ashawo".

In my books, Nigerian men and women fit themselves. They are made for each other (preferably of the same ethnic group).
🙂
I don't know what to say about that.

I'm sorry but I'll beg to differ on your viewpoint about any similarities between an Igbo and Hausa. Think of day/night.
Heck they even differ on their degree of melanin content.

They'd have to start from accepting the differences in all those factors you mentioned.

Same way a Nigerian guy would start from the basics in accepting the differences with a Zim lady.

In that same UK. Look for Zimb guys, click and connect.
Indeed.

Zim guys that are always hunting for white girls?

They'd choose their quiet women first before looking at a Nigerian lady.

The only external option that Nigerian ladies try, is to look for a white mugu. And it usually ends in tears later when the guy gets fed up with all the loud noise that comes from the relationship. Which is why most of the white guys who decide to marry outside of their background, simply go to Southeast Asia, pick a very young, homely, pretty lady from Thailand/Philippines/Cambodia etc that will not stress him and come back.

When I think about it now, I'm not sure I've ever seen a UK/US-based Nigerian lady who married a Nigerian guy she met abroad. It's either she remains single, hooks up with a white guy or her family arranges a husband back home in Nigeria for her.

That's sad.

Samantha125:
But I'm curious, how do you guys cope with the culture shocks that come with transnational marriages?
What exact culture shock are you talking about? Care to elaborate please?

Would you the same question arise between an Igbo and Hausa relationship?

When I first saw this video early this year, I asked a Zim lady what she thought and her response was that Zim women still maintain traditional values regarding the role of women in a relationship in respecting the views and catering to the needs of a man in a relationship.

A Nigerian guy is looking for peace of mind which the UK ones seem to have found in the Zim ladies (who mostly are reserved/quiet compared to Nigerian ladies), while most of the Zim guys are rough/randy, prowling for white ladies to hook up with.

Honestly, it will be EXTREMELY difficult for a single Naija guy coming to the UK and seeing the options available, to finally settle down with a Nigerian lady. Just God's grace to be honest.

A British girl does not do billings. Instead she'll be the one spending on the guy or at least sharing expenses.

A Zim/Kenyan/Ugandan lady is naturally packed front and back and does not see sex as a transactional business like most Nigerian ladies do. Will cook and host the guy proper. All she needs is his love and attention.

Romanians (including some Polish girls) are hunting black guys to sample their bedmatic skills for free, based on stories that they've heard.

And you want a Naija guy to come and be listening to Naija girls with their sense of entitlements and loud talk?

Na wa o.

aigjoe:
Today's Top Football Selections: Data-Driven Analysis for January 8, 2026

Operational Mode: Strict Actuarial Conservatism (KPI + GCR Active)

---

📊 Introduction & Methodology

Welcome to today’s match selection, where we apply a strict, multi-phase actuarial model to identify fixtures with the highest statistical probability of meeting our goal-based criteria. Each match passes through 12 distinct validation phases, including league tier assessment, EAFS (Elite Away Favorite Shutdown) detection, BTTS/Over 1.5 decoupling, and Single Goal Trap screening.

Below are today’s top selections, all of which have passed our rigorous quantitative filters.

---

⚽ Match 1: Qatar SC vs Al-Sadd
League: Qatar Stars League (Tier 4 – High Scoring League)
Time: 20:30 WAT
Verdict: ✅ ANCHOR LEG

Phase-by-Phase Breakdown:

- ✅ Phase 1 – League Check:
Tier 4 League. Although Al-Sadd is a top-tier club playing away, the QSL is exempt from strict EAFS filters due to a league-average goal rate exceeding 3.2.

- ✅ Phase 3 – EAFS Detection:
Score: 0.45 (Below 0.75 threshold).
Reasoning: While Al-Sadd is an elite favorite, Qatar SC’s defensive record (DSI < 3.0) is catastrophic—they concede volume, not just isolated goals. Al-Sadd rarely stops at 1-0, making a “shutdown” scenario unlikely.

- ✅ Phase 5 – BTTS vs Over 1.5:
BRS Score: 0.85 (High).
Al-Sadd covers the Over 1.5 line alone in 78% of matches against bottom-half opponents.

- ✅ Phase 6 – Single Goal Trap:
SGT Score: 0.12 (Extremely Low).
Al-Sadd’s “Total Attack” style makes 0–0 or 1–0 outcomes statistically negligible (<2% probability).

---

⚽ Match 2: Al Nassr vs Al Qadsiah
League: Saudi Pro League (Tier 1 – Special Exemption)
Time: 17:30 WAT
Verdict: ✅ STRONG SELECT

Key Model Checks:

- ✅ Phase 1 – League Exception:
SPL is normally a restricted Tier 1 league, but v10.0 Exception Rule applies: “Top 4 at Home vs Mid/Lower Table.” Al Nassr qualifies as a home favorite.

- ✅ Phase 4 – Key Player Availability:
Assumes Ronaldo/Mane/Talisca core is available. If 2+ are absent → VOID.
Impact: Al Nassr averages 2.8 xG at home with full-strength attack.

- ✅ Phase 9 – Defensive Situation:
Category D (Attack Imbalance).
Al Nassr’s Attack Power Index (API) significantly exceeds Al Qadsiah’s Defensive Quality Score (DQS).

- ✅ Phase 11 – Match Context:
Al Qadsiah consistently concedes early away against “Big 4” opponents, forcing an open game state.

---

⚽ Match 3: Club Brugge vs Sturm Graz
League: Club Friendly (Mid-Season)
Time: 15:30 WAT (Approx)
Verdict: ✅ VALUE SELECT

Model Assessment:

- ✅ Phase 1 – League Tier:
Friendlies are classified as Tier 3/4 Hybrid , allowing greater flexibility in selection.

- ✅ Phase 2 – Baseline Filters:
λ_total: 5.40.
Both teams employ vertical, high-pressing systems (Austrian & Belgian styles), promoting open play.

- ✅ Phase 7 – Low-Quality Stalemate (LQS):
Conditions Met: 0/7.
Neither side is capable of effective “low-block” defending. An open, transitional match is expected.

- ✅ Phase 10 – Style Matchup:
H2H history is limited, but the “Fire vs Fire” tactical profile indicates a low probability of a cagey, low-scoring affair.

---

⚽ Match 4: Atlético Madrid vs Real Madrid
Competition: Supercopa de España
Verdict: ✅ SELECT

Critical Metrics:

- ✅ KPI (Key Player Impact):
Both squads near full strength. Real Madrid’s attack (Vinicius/Mbappe context) contributes >60% of team xG . No critical offensive absences detected.

- ✅ Systemic Risk Assessment (SRA):
Score: 0.22 (Passes < 0.35 threshold).
The “Supercopa factor” (neutral venue in Saudi Arabia) increases λ by 0.15 due to the “Showcase Effect” — teams typically play more openly in front of a global audience.

- ✅ Hurdle Checks:
- Median Goals: 2.9 ✅
- BTTS Trap: Negative — these teams rarely play 1-1; recent H2H includes high-scoring games (5-3, 3-1).
- Simulation P(≥2 goals): 98.4% ✅

---

Match 5: Wolves U21 vs Monaco II
Competition: Youth / Reserve Fixture

The “Youth Anomaly” Factor:

- Defensive Structure Indicator (DSI):
Both teams have DSI scores < 4.0, reflecting the inherently lower defensive organization in U21/reserve football.

- Lambda Calculation:
λ_home ≈ 2.1 | λ_away ≈ 1.9 | λ_total = 4.0
Adjusted for high variance and negligible zero-inflation risk.

- Stress Test Result:
Even after reducing xG by 30% (simulating injury/rotation impact), the probability of a 0–0 outcome remains < 2%.

---

🔬 Why These Selections Made the Cut

Each fixture above has passed through a 12-phase actuarial screening process, designed to eliminate emotional bias and focus solely on quantitative reliability. Key unifying factors include:

- Low Zero-Inflation Risk: Minimal probability of 0–0 or 1–0 outcomes.
- Attack-Imbalanced Contexts: One team’s offensive capability far exceeds the opponent’s defensive solidity.
- Game-State Openness: Matches where an early goal is likely to force an open, transitional pattern.
- League/Tournament Exceptions: Where historical data supports consistently higher goal environments.

---

Your question is not clear to me. If you mean the number of quantity to bring in as a wholesaler, it can be 5000-10,000 cartons of light. Other wholesalers in Alaba can buy 500-1000 cartons from you at once and it will be going small small. The price range is 50 RMB per 1 carton x 5000 cartons. Profit is 3-4k per carton x 5000.

For oil, it might not do 100% but close, just depends on available supply, demand and weather. Last year, 1 keg bought for 40+k and went as high as 70+k in November. I’m talking of 25 litre gallon

However, you'll be taught the specific way of storing palmoil that'll stop it from thickening and having smell.

This isn't the time to buy palm oil.
This is the selling period.

Right now, palmoil is expensive, so we're currently selling the ones we stored at a higher price.

Buying Period is till February, 2026.

So, you can join our Partnership chain for 2026.

The only thing you can do for now is to keep gathering funds for capital till next year.
Another thing you can do, is to book and buy your kegs down which you can use to store the palm oil for next year because now the kegs are cheaper compared to when Palm Oil becomes cheap and a lot of people are in a hurry to store.
Thanks for your post.

Can you safely store large quantities like 220L drums of the oil without it getting spoilt? Where can one buy such quantities?

Thanks once again.
