The 63-year-old CEO of Europe’s third largest oil company, Total, died in a plane accident at a Moscow airport on Tuesday. Christophe de Margerie and three other French citizens died in a plane crash at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, officials said Tuesday.

“Tonight, a plane crashed when it collided with a snow-clearing machine. Three crew members and a passenger died. I can confirm that the passenger was Total’s head de Margerie,” airport spokeswoman Elena Krylova said.

De Margerie, who was nicknamed “Big Mustache,” started with Total in 1974 at their finance department and became CEO of the French company in February 2007. He had worked extensively for Total in the Middle East. According to US Weekly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter, Nori, has over 200 pieces of designer clothing that she’s never worn. Items in her closet include a $375 silk Oscar de la Renta dress, a $200 leopard viscose frock from Roberto Cavalli, an Alexander Wang leather dress, and Giuseppe Zanotti custom-made shoes.

A man who has had sex with over 700 cars has revealed how he had his first physical experience of car love with a Volkswagen Beetle. Edward Smith, 63, told Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden on This Morning how he was “tempted one night to step outside” to make love to the neighbour’s car as a young teen, having first become attracted to cars in 1965.

As a mechaphile, Edward is sexually attracted to machines – and as well as having sex with cars, has also had a relationship with a helicopter and planes, claiming they are all better than women.

A team of students has developed a bracelet that acts like a wearable air conditioning unit for your wrist. Called Wristify, the band directs either cool or warm air to the surface of a wearer’s skin to balance the body’s temperature.

Wristify was developed by Matthew Smith, Sam Shames, Megha Jain and David Cohen-Tanugi from MIT, who recently set up embr labs. However, unlike a true air conditioner, the device only adjusts the temperature of the wrist, and not the humidity. Last year, the team’s concept won the $10,000 (£6,100) first prize in the Making and Designing Materials Engineering Contest at the Massachusetts-based university, and it is now a finalist in Intel’s Make it Wearable competition.

As a result, the team has been awarded an additional $50,000 (£30,700) to help make the band a reality. In addition to the prize money, all finalists are given mentorship and technical support from the Santa Clara-based tech giant. A prototype version has been developed, and is undergoing tests. Designer Niccolo Casas has also created a concept illustration of what the final model will look like.

The company explained how Wristify works below:

‘Wristify uses all-natural waves of coolness or heat to activate the thermoreceptors on the surface of your skin, leaving you feeling rejuvenated. ‘It gently glows blue when cooling you, and glows a warm orange while heating you up.

‘Our comfort depends on a lot more than just core temperature, and we have drawn on the last 30 years of thermal comfort research to design a device for maximised comfort that is also discreet and energy-efficient'.

The Colombian female cycling team unveiled their new sports kit over the weekend and the pictures immediately went viral. The pictures make it look like the cyclists are all on their periods and using thick sanitary pads, and have been shared over a 50,000 times on Twitter. The ladies, who are cycling in the Giro Toscana this week, look very happy as they pose in their latest publicity shots and probably didn’t see anything wrong with their new kits in the red, nude and yellow team colors.

Everyone understands that cyclists need some padding to prevent chaffing, but it is the nude-color that slashes the kit, that has caused a lot of debate online. That area which contains the padding to protect the ladies groin area during riding, unfortunately gives the ladies camel toe, and looks like their real skin. People are also wondering if it’s an innocent oversight by an over-enthusiastic designer or done for publicity for the team.

Amanda Hutchinson suddenly went into labour in a car outside her best friend’s wedding ceremony in Darlington when her waters broke seconds after arriving. A mother in mainland China gave birth last weekend to a baby boy weighing a massive 14lbs. The woman, known only as Mrs Tian gave birth at the Chongji Maternity Hospital in Yecheng city, Shanxi province according to local news reports. The child, was born on August 23 at 7.25pm local time.

According to clinicians at the hospital, the newly-born baby weighs approximately the same as a three-month-old. It is understood that the size of the baby was a complete shock to medical staff at the hospital. The South China Daily Post reports one staff member claiming: ‘It’s the first time I’ve delivered such a huge baby in my 30-year career,” Chongji Maternity’s director was quoted by Tencent as saying.

According to the World Health Organisation, the baby is around double the size of an average newborn. Staff at the hospital have taken numerous photographs of the massive baby. According to the Guinness World Records website, the world’s largest baby was born in January 1879 in Ohio weighing almost 24lbs – however the infant died 11 hours later. An Italian baby born in September 1955 also weighed in around 24lbs but managed to survive.

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, described the late American-Liberian, Patrick Sawyer’s visit that heralded the entry of the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, into the country, as “pure madness.” This came as the Federal Government appealed to Nigerians not to panic and adhere to the highest possible personal hygiene measures and safety guidelines issued by the Federal Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, fears that more Nigerians may fall victim of the Ebola virus heightened, yesterday, as the Federal Government confirmed the 10th case of the disease after the death of the index case (the first case), bringing the total number of cases to 10. The President, who spoke publicly for the first time since the outbreak of the disease in the country, expressed disappointment with the way and manner the late Sawyer brought Ebola to Nigeria.

Late Sawyer, whose arrival in Lagos on July 20, 2014, and eventual death five days later in a private hospital, sparked off the dreaded Ebola Virus saga in the country, was a consultant to the Liberian government. He was said to be under surveillance in Liberia for a suspected case of the Ebola Virus Disease, but evaded authorities in Monrovia and tragically boarded a plane for Lagos in Nigeria, via Lome in Togo and Accra in Ghana.

His intention, according to reports was to connect to Calabar in Nigeria to attend a two-day retreat organized by the ECOWAS Commission, and later the same week to Atlanta, Georgia in the USA to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. Speaking at the Annual Interfaith Conference in Abuja, President Jonathan, however, assured citizens that the Federal Government was ready to stop the spread of the Ebola virus.
