CNN and ALJAZEERA do not speak for us and they're foreign news organisation. So if they refer to Lagos as nigerias capital you will believe them? |

GEJ will win but if he doesn't then we all go our seperate ways. The Hausas ruled my father all his life, they ain't gonna rule me all my life. The born to rule mentality has to be resisted, we can't have a nation where minorities who feed the majority are made to believe they're lesser citizens. |

I believe most of these lies are due to the forthcoming election. Buhari is way richer than he makes out to be. His supporters see him as messiah and he tries too hard to meet his peoples expectations of him. Buhari may be a billionaire but would keep hiding those facts. |

Politics › Re: As Lagos Joins Oil Producing States by TippyTop(m): 7:30am On Nov 06, 2014 |
Now job opportunities will open to Nigerians through the joint venture operations. As a corollary to the move by Lagos, and to encourage the many cash-strapped states, the Federal Government should revisit the issue of solid minerals with a view to taking it out of the current unproductive system, allow each state to exploit what is in its domain and pay royalties to the centre. It is time the country allowed a shift from counter-productive policies and liberated the nation’s potentials. hmm!!! to the highlighted statement. |
Politics › Re: Breaking: ‘nigeria's Opposition Sponsoring Boko Haram’ - Stephen Davies by TippyTop(m): 12:29pm On Oct 23, 2014 |
obailala: Enough of this childish 'opposition is BH sponsor' statements. Is opposition the name of a person?.. As we all know, our leaders are political prostitutes and can switch parties at any time and will no longer be termed 'opposition' so why can't names just be mentioned?
Jonathan says opposition is bokoharam, Stephen Davies says opposition is bokoharam. Okay Davies, please name some of the 'opposition' members sponsoring BH?.. Next thing we hear is Alli Sheriff (PDP) and Ihejirika (PDP). It is also not news in the Nigerian circles that Senator Ali Ndume (PDP) is presently being tried by the FG for links to BH. The only unusual twist is that the FG wants a secret trial because the PDP fears the stinking can of worms that would be exposed through the trial. Secret trial or not, I'm sure the PDP will never allow that trial to take place before the 2015 elections for obvious reasons.
I just wonder why Nigerians continue to allow themselves to be fooled by these vultures in government. You're being fooled by yourself, what is so difficult in understanding the opposition means APC? |
Politics › Re: I‘ll Not Contest 2015 Election – Jonathan by TippyTop(m): 12:16pm On Oct 23, 2014 |
adegwurulez: Good.. My problem is, Gej already told us 4years is enough to change the power sector, has anything changed? Don't be naive to think this is peculiar to GEJ alone, all politicians the world over do it. You have to be in govt to really appreciate how difficult it is to govern. APC may have been promising Nigerians heaven now, it will be a different cup of tea when they get to power. |

adegwurulez: I don't stay in lagos so how would i have known fashola didn't keep a promise he made four years ago? I stay in Nigeria and i believe in the political insight of my president so if he says anybody who can't change the power sector in four years wouldn't be able to do so in another four years, i just have to believe him.
Just so you know, i'm neither Apc nor PDP, i'm a Nigerian! Am neither PDP or APC also, I was only insisting you use the same yardstick. Fashola is a great administrator but he did say he needed only 4yrs to govern. Am glad he continued, it would have been a massive loss to Lagosians if he had kept to his promise of one term. |

Reading Shaka Momodu’s diatribe against former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu entitled ‘The Flawed Progressive’ in a ThisDay opinion column recently, one must extend the deepest sympathies to Momodu. The man’s soul has vanished, yet he writes this shameless piece to announce to the entire world that his soul has not died but that he merely sold it. Yet the writer did same thing he's accusing Momodu of doing. |
