Kudos to GEJ for this audacious move. I'd ask a thief to look after my property, that way I know it'll be safe.

I am just here to correct a lie.

[b]Secondly, PEOPLE PLEASE do a bit of research before you get carried away by lies and propaganda.

Lastly, the creation of the Mid-west was not because of oppression as people want us to believe, it was because the Oba of Benin was not used to the whole idea Ogboni confraternity unlike the Oba of the Yorubas.
What are you smoking? So you want us to believe that Mid-West was created to appease the Oba of Benin? My friend are you sane?

Before supporting bayooooooooo you should've read his post. His arguement was that every one would want their own states given the opportunity. He gave examples of the middlebelt. What would have been the reason if the middle belt had voted to leave the North in a  referendum?
According to you it would be the Tor Tiv wanted to be called an Emir.

99% indeed, no wonder 99% voted for their oil-obsessed brother to protect their 'oyel' interest. It easy to see that u guys betrayed the west after chopping their cocoa money and have betrayed the north be subtly snatching power from them.
And why are you openly displaying your location as Niger Delta? Na by force to join the West/North? Go carry your guguru jare.

Gbawe,
It peeves me even more when every discussion is reduced to "a political grandstanding" or "tribal fisticuffs"!
The Politicians have identified this flaw in most ignorant people and will thus capitalize on it, to befuddle their thinking!

I want peeps to discuss an issue based on its merits not whether who spoke is from ACN or PDP!
You will be surprised that all of them (ACN, PDP and others)meet at the "club" and drink together (while planning the next money to loot) while "the masses" kill themselves over party-affiliation!
Sorry to burst the bubble of that bolded statement, but when last did you see Gbawe or anyone critisizing the many weaknesses of ACN/Yoruba? Or Ibo posters critisizing APGA? 99% of people here  are tribalist including the so-called acedemics. Its a real shame on us as Nigerian youths.

Even an elementary student after few days on nairaland would realize if no one reply's to a thread it dies a natural death. This thread would probably die tomorrow because its a stupid assumption to think the moderators have  meetings to decide how to advance GEJ.

Nchara:
You seem quite naive in wanting me to spell it out for you

1. The Nigerian govt may not be able to stop Boko Haram because it is a systemic revolution in which the preponderance of northern Muslims are involved, covertly or overtly
2. Like every Islamic terrorism world over, the more the feds kill them, the more they regroup and fire back. Ask the USA how much they have been able to route Islam-induced terrorism since 9/11.
3. Thus, you can kill an individual terrorist, you have not defeated them not stopped their aim from advancing
4. Only the northern leaders can effectively stop them because they are their sponsors, by and large
5. So far, they are unwilling to do so
6. Instead, the head of the Muslims in Nigeria, the Caliph from Sokoto, was in Ogun state southern Nigeria, telling Muslims they need to be united.
7. United against what? Could that be a covert signal for southern Muslims to join their northern brothers in the act?

Shine your eyes, okay??

Only two options can solve the problem:
1. If northern leaders call them to order
2. If the country is divided (to as many groups as possible).
Succinctly enumerated.

TALK IS CHEAP

For the imps castigating the president pray tell where terrorist are wiped out completely in a flash. The BH people are waging an asymmetric warfare on the population but we need a political
solution to a political/religious problem.
The Russians have been fighting the Chechens since 1994, as have the Chinese with the Tibetans. For more than 50yrs the IRA were active in the UK, even the great Margaret Thatcher couldn't end it.
GEJ probably hate BH more than we do but he recognise the fact that  it's a political/religious problem and would need a political solution. Only a foool would advocate fire for fire

Shut up if you don't understand world affairs and don't cave in to conformism. Most people hate GEJ because their tribe "leader" says so. Well next time you have problem consult your supposed "leader" for help.
PEACE OUT!!!

Kobojunkie:
Invade what? A country you have refused to take care, and many even acknowledge even exists?
The above is so way out of what I said. Do you read people's post before replying?

There has been US presence in Nigeria in one form or another in Nigeria since as far back as the 70's.
Having a presence is different from running a country. The US  has  presense in Japan, Germany, Brittain etc, but are not running puppet govts in the above nations. Learn to understand a post before replying.

Wikileaks recently revealed they country has a more rounded picture of your country than you or any other Nigerian/leader can claim. What are they invading?
The US has a rounded picture of most country.

At some point we should stop, and think of the stuff we keep spewing -- think if they are valid to begin with.
Lets see you practice what you preach.
Hint : When in a hole stop digging.

Politics › Re: The Mindset Of Average Tribalist On Nairaland. by TippyTop(m): 9:08pm On Nov 15, 2011
Let me get this straight, someone starts a thread denouncing Nairaland's lowlifes, the lowlifes converge on the thread for their daily meetings right?

Should've guessed it.
This thread is an invitation to the Kings and Queens of low, the worthless collection of human bones anywhere in the world. They have no friends in the real world hence tribalism is seen as  "sense of belonging".

ENJOY!

P.S. (to tribalists)
I try not to reply lowlifes, it only gives an undeserved gravitas to your otherwise mundane post/life.

Its any ones guess what slow Nigerian minds can come up with. Lately some tards on Nairaland have been calling GEJ "retardeen" following their earlier use of the word "odechukwu".
The mind blowing stupidity of these tards come to light when you find out their ideal Nigerian leader.
Their tribal and quasi-criminal thought process lead them to Tinubu as leader (what a joke). How can the principle of tribal loyalty take precedence over good governance?
Some qualities and actions of this "great leader"

1)Convicted in the United States for running a drug cartel
2)Imposed his wife as senator on poor Lagosians
3)His philosophy-Jeun Soke. Fashola's philosophy-Eko o Ni baje
4)Charged for operating 16 foreign accounts.
5)Third all time looter (just behind IBB and Ibori)
6)Feel free to add your own

On behalf of Awo, Gani and Ribadu, here is my present for his supporters.
Enjoy!!

Those saying 42 years is too long etc, how long has the monarch in England ruled? is it a family business? why the hypocrisy and double standards? eh? why? oh why? sad it takes a real defiant man to stand up to the west and US the way he did, that's why the hated him, that's why they've killed him. lets hope it doesn't take another 42 years for a visionary leader like Gadafi to rise to eminense again smiley
Point of correction:
The Queen does not rule England, she's just a ceremonial head like Nnamdi Azikiwe was in the sixties.
