Ojukwu was politically shortsighted?! OK, you're right but almost 60 years later you're fighting for what he fought for. Who's now shortsighted? |

It is very sad that a man of Adebanjo's age is still lying.
First of all, Ojukwu, not Gowon, released Awolowo. If Gowon had the power to release a person imprisoned in the East, there would have been no civil war in the first place. Yorubas always deny this fact to reduce the enormity of Awo's betrayal.
Awo and his wife were paid salaries. As a matter of fact, he was staying at a government lodge in Calabar and only reported to the prison every morning for documentation.
As for the war, it is well documented. 'The West will go if the East goes' is a statement credited to Awo. Let Adebanjo deny it. As for the 'starvation' statement and the 20 pounds policy, God will judge.
Only Femi Aribisala has been just enough to acknowledge Awo's treachery. Kudos to him. |

dochenaj: You said I talked about referendum like if that is not the centrepiece of IPOB arguments. Making it seem that I created the concept of referendum because you suddenly realize it is a fool's errand doesn't do your argument any good.
However if IPOB thinks they can pull off what Ojukwu did, then Nnamdi Kanu should come back the same way he sneaked out of the country and declare the state of Biafra.
But I guess you are working on yourselves. How long do you think this working on yourselves will take? So we can just watch and see. don't believe me, just watch. Thanks. |
Politics › Re: The REAL Reason Biafra Will Not Exist by tishbite41(m): 5:40pm On Apr 10, 2021 |
dochenaj: First of all, the constitution has nothing like that in place. You can't just do something that goes against the very wording of the constitution without changing the constitution first.
Arguing that the government (which you erroneously keep calling Fulanis) should conduct an unconstitutional referendum just to prove you wrong and their failure to conduct the said illegal referendum means you're right, is plain stupid logic. it is obvious I'm talking to a Fulani slave. You talked about the referendum and I urged you on. Seeing you were at a dead end, you detoured to Abdulsalami's decree aka constitution. You don't know that the principle of self-determination is enshrined in the UN and Nigerian constitution. We at IPOB are working on ourselves. When we are ready you would see things for yourselves. |
Politics › Re: The REAL Reason Biafra Will Not Exist by tishbite41(m): 2:12pm On Apr 10, 2021 |
dochenaj: Why don't we do an experiment.
Take a random sampling of 20 people from all the states that constitute the Biafra region and ask them what their vote will be?
You realize that the present Biafra territory is not limited to the South Eastern states of Nigeria? do that experiment and release the true statistics. I'm from Asaba so I know what I'm talking about. If the Fulanis believe your school of thought, they will hold that referendum to put Biafra to bed. The vote for Biafra will be overwhelming, they can't even rig it. Like I said earlier, you're not wiser than the British and Fulanis. |

gwafaeziokwu: Yes we know the name of the Yoruba woman that stirred the honet nest with her bold declaration that Yar’adua was long gone and that power should be handed to Jonathan. Her name is late Dr. (Mrs) Dora Nkem Akunyili.
Thank God for that brave Yoruba woman who dared the northern cabals and reveal the inside truth when men shivered and ran away for fear of the north.
Madness on different levels. Don't mind history revisionists. That's why I don't pity the drunkard Jonathan. After all said and done, he dumped Akunyili in order to please the North. |

dochenaj: You're actually right on many points.
It is interesting to note that the bulk of the people who support Kanu are these categories of people ; people living outside of Nigeria, artisans, business people with low capital investments.
Nnamdi Kanu is not being pragmatic about the pursuit of Biafra. He needs to propose practical solutions to the exit.
His pride and god-like disposition would never get him the popular votes of the people neither will it attract the crop of intelligent people he needs to formulate the perfect secession plan. Even Ojukwu with all his charisma did not depict such boastfulness, though his huge ego was one of the reasons Biafra lost the war.
There is this Igbo idiom "Igbo e nwe Eze", translated as (The Igbo's have no king). Just like Israel did to Rehoboam the son of Solomon "to your tent oh Israel, look after your own house oh Jacob." That is how the average Igbo man feels. He is king in his house, and will not bow to any other.
He keeps talking about referendum, without realizing that if there is an emergency referendum tomorrow most people that falls into the supposed Biafra regions would vote against secession. You think any sensible "Biafran" with business interests outside of the region will be stupid enough to vote a "yes" without knowing what will happen to his business.
We see how the Brexit vote turned out with a number of "yes" voters opting to remain in EU. And this is a loose association in comparison to Biafra and Nigeria. you are dreaming. If there is a referendum today, the Igbo will vote massively for Biafra. You think you are wiser than the Fulanis who equate referendum to war?! |

History555: Oga you and many lgbos that respond to threads on why biafra is bad for lgbos are disappointing us.
Ask your self why people are creating multiple threads all advising lgbos but the same people have never created a single thread on the menace and atrocities committed by fulani herdsmen and bandits.
Ask your self why people get jittery at mention of ipob, biafra and esn but are calm, cool and calculated at mention of herdsmen, bandits and boko.
Ask yourself why any little incident in the east generates so much attention whereas multiple incidents in the north generates no reaction. Example, this week there was imo police hq attack there was close to hundred threads and thousands of comments. But bandits killed 9travellers in kaduna and abducted 28, yet there was just one thread with 28 comments. Bandits attacked villages in niger state, yet just one thread.
Lastly ask yourself when all these hypocrites, idiots, dunderheads and asswipes giving advice to lgbos up and down began to care and love lgbos
As an lgbo man, your attention is needed to fuel all these useless threads, pls learn to ignore them. We are not the only tribe in nigeria. All these busybodies should shove their advice down their throats God bless you. They have seen the writing on the wall. They are jittery. |
