How did Olaudah translate to Chinedu or Chukwuebuka,

Olaudah seems more like a yoruba name which is mostly bear by people from Edo state especially Estako and Afemaih people

It is actually Isseke which is in Ihiala local government area, a 45 min drive to the region that encapsulated the old benin kingdom. There is no 'Essaka' in Benin. He only passed through Benin enroute to slavery with his captors.

In his book he translated his name Olaudah as 'loud voice' which is actually what it means in Igbo.

He also perfectly mentioned the 4 market day of Igbos as 'Ah-for' 'Ekeh', 'Nkwo', 'Oye'.
