nduchucks: Stop being intellectually dishonest. As COAS, ihejirika's team attempted to deal with the Boko Haram menace, but instead of doing it professionally, his team went on well documented killing spree of innocent women and children, and detained hundreds or thousands of innocent youths who are allegedly Boko Haram members. Many of who remain in prison without trial.

Ihejirika's team caused more destruction in many areas and devastated many families, far more than the then, miserably armed Boko Haram members could ever do. These attrocities are well documented. Sooner or later, both Ihejirika and his gang will face justice for gross human rights abuses and war crimes, along with the Boko Haram terrorists. These heartless people continue to mistreat Nigerians.

I must say that Nigerians are highly disappointed in Ihejirika's outbursts because of the accusations made by the Australian. What an emotionally unstable human being!!! He appears to be the type who will order the killings of innocent civilians when angered. Believe you me, he got angry while he was COAS more than a dozen time.

It is well documented that Ihejiraka's team commited war crimes including forcing detainees to dig their own graves, slitting prisoners' throats in gruesome ceremonial killings, and conducting arbitrary mass executions. nansense!!
So these are the actions of a boko haram sponsor?

I have it on good authority that ikejika ordered governor shettimma to position the 2000 girls at chibok without security.
after the innocent shettimma did what he was told, then ikejika told shekau to scoop the girls into sambissa forest.
shekau received money to carry out that action.
shekau is a sell-out.
i wonder why the northern leaders are protecting boko haram by asking the army to take it easy on them?

The Chibok saga is not enough.
asking soldiers not to use artillery but to sacrifice themselves is not enough.
these enemies of nigeria will soon get what they want.

raumdeuter: How would a group of civilian plan a coup

Can you post the link to the Webster dictionary you quoted?
that is a question you should ask Baba Awolowo (the chief planner), and his co-conspirators like Enahoro, who where all sent on life jail in calabar.
You can also direct your question to the Honorable Tafawa Balewa who accused Baba Awolowo of plotting to blow up the federal government as well as one-half of Lagos.

I read in my history book how the fulani attacked kanem-Borno empire after Uthman ibn Fodio have killed the Hausa kings.
The kanuri resisted and Fodio did not succeed.
Now it looks like Fulani has entered Borno like Afonja allowed them into Warri.
There will soon be coup against the Shehu of Borno.

El Lufia is right.
Ever since Ihejirikka left the nigerian army and joined boko haram,
the army has gone weaker while boko haram has gone stronger.
This tells me ihekirika is using his military brain to direct boko haram and the small small boys like Minima no know how to fight like their oga before.

That could mean "customers". I guess apart from the Alaoji power station, some other industries need gas piped to their premises. Like gas is piped and distributed to some of the industrial estates in in Ogun and Lagos states.

(Is gas piped to the industrial estates in port harcourt?)

Lordlexyy: They northern elders made that threat after the death of several civilians at Bama(not sure about the exact spelling) village. Civilian casualties caused by NA was steadily on the increase during Ihejiriki tenure. It got to a point that the northern elders couldn't take it longer. The elder were complaining that bh were being routed. In fact, Ihejiriki reign saw the death of more civilians by the army than any other COAS. I'm not privvy to the accomplices of the former army chief, but we can't dismis every rumour or allegation on the ground of sensationalism especially in this trying period.
you make no sense
or are you trying to be deceptive?
are BH not "civilians". if the "death of more civilians" is actually the death of bh, what is really the problem?

was Ihejirika the COAS during the Nigerian civil war? that is when we recorded the most civilian deaths.

Politics › Re: Total Nigeria Completes Alaoji Power Station Gas Supply Pipe Line by tit(f): 5:26pm On Aug 28, 2014
kmariko: During colonial times as I understand , power generation was for the comfort of the colonialist and for the general populace...( villages then did not have power).

Times are a changing, high population ( compare to 25 million during colonial times), high urbanisation, increased rate of industrialization, etc....meaning that the consumption rate is very high and will be higher in years to come.
Yes we have coal deposits in those places but are they of commerical viable quantity to be utilized for power generation... if they are then am all for it.
all fossil fuels will not last forever.
whether it is Nigeria's oil and gas reserves or South africa's coal reserves.
not exploiting yours because it will not last forever is like
a man who has an acre of farmland - while his neighbor has a 100 acre farm, - saying he would not crop his land because it is not big enough.
Politics › Re: Australian Negotiator Names Sheriff And Ihejirika As Bokoharam Sponsors! by tit(f): 5:18pm On Aug 28, 2014

Why doesnt he name those he is negotiating with on behalf of boko haram?
Politics › Re: Total Nigeria Completes Alaoji Power Station Gas Supply Pipe Line by tit(f): 5:15pm On Aug 28, 2014
kmariko: remember the primary purpose of business is to make your shareholders happy (i.e make profit). In a competitive environment like Nigeria, why would one import coal when other cheaper raw materials are available for power generation. It will merely increase the consumers power rates which would of course move them to other companies.

So first thing first, How much coal do we have in Enugu to warrant the establishment of a large power generation plant that will be competitive in the market. If the answer is enough to last 50 or more years then by all means go for it... Also will there be any competitive advantage in importing coal to sustain a power plant in enugu. If the answer is yes then again go for it. Remember we have not even touched on the environmental impart etc.

thanks
dangote's heavy industries are about to import coal for power generation. the gas in their front yard is beyond reach. however they can import coal from south africa, ship it up warri-itakpe rail-line or ph-gboko rail-line, and still make a tidy profit.
Politics › Re: Total Nigeria Completes Alaoji Power Station Gas Supply Pipe Line by tit(f): 5:12pm On Aug 28, 2014
kmariko: The main problem with coal powered plant is supply. Yes there is coal in Enugu...but how long will it last..10 .20. or more years...if its just about less than 50 years in terms of power investment. It is not viable from an investors point of view... let the states carryout a thorough visibility study on it..
Investment is rarely an emotional issue
will nigeria's gas last for ever?
Nigeria's oil and gas reserves are estimated to last till 2034.
Should we immediately divest from gas?

Nigeria has coal deposits all over Benue, Kogi, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states. If they are exploited at the rate they were in colonial times, they would last 400 years.
