Politics › Re: Soldiers, Policemen Clash Again In Lagos(pics) by tit(f): 3:48pm On Jun 24, 2011
the tough soldier should be transferred to the badagary recce battalion, then all of them should be sent to maiduguri.
case closed.
Car Talk › Re: Car Servicing Interval (Engine Oil) by tit(f): 5:52pm On Jun 10, 2011
do not forget to check and change, if necssary, your air filters.
with all the air borne dust, i think it is a big factor in engine degradation.
Politics › Re: Bloodbath In Lagos: Soldiers Kill Police Dpo, Dco 8 Others by tit(f): 3:15pm On May 25, 2011
if the policemen that shot the soldier are in army custody (dead or alive), then i propound:
the dpo was made to hand over the police team by the recce commander. the dpo was then shot.

242 recce battalion should be disbanded for tarnishing the good image of the Nigerian Army.
all the officers and men loosely found to be involved in the misconduct dishonorably discharged and then tried if there is enough evidence.
(gathering evidence will be farfetched since by now the crime scenes are mutilated)
all others should be discharged.
NYSC › Re: 3 NYSC Corpers Attacked In Jigawa State; Unprovoked Aggression! by tit(f): 2:57pm On May 23, 2011
lynching of suspected criminals is 'commonplace' in big cities.
lynching of suspected criminals is rare in small towns and villages.
you usually do not find people experienced in lynchings and predisposed to lynching in such places.

Travel › Re: In Pictures Fashola Inspects Trains, Facilities For Lagos Light Rail In Canada by tit(f): 4:18pm On May 16, 2011
chigozie is near right.
getting the trains from canada is 'outsourcing jobs'.
lagos needs a intra state rail line and regionally we need an east-west rail line.
we have ajaokuta steel that has been moribund for years.
turning iron-ore into steel is not like going to the moon.
and the more you do it, the better you get at it.
oyinbo were doing it 200 years ago when they did not have water closets.
they stuck at it and now they make these trains with sleek lines while we still import machets.
Politics › Re: A Muslim Who Risk All To Save His Xtian Neighbours by tit(f): 5:31pm On Apr 24, 2011
i am glad we still have people like Mr. Bologi.
I wish more of his neighbours had come out with him instead of hiding under their beds while people were being killed on their front doors.

1025,
the 1st pdp zoning agreement was 4 years for obj, then presidency goes to SE (or SS).
Obj later ignored this agbero agreement. the north backed him for a 2nd term and the Se and SS did not kill anybody becos of it.
Sports › Re: Osaze Odemwingie Lashes Out At Siasia On Twitter by tit(f): 3:19am On Apr 02, 2011
siasia had it coming. in the past few weeks, he had been quoted making uncomplimentary remarks about players. he should learn to manage his staff with decorum.
if he does not change his style, he will get more blowback.
osaze venting on him will be the tip of the iceberg.

so the captain sailed.
Politics › Re: Tunde Bakare: We Were Not Bribed (It Was Transport Money) by tit(f): 10:12am On Dec 02, 2010
you all should be asking:
how may groups/individuals go to aso rock and get $50,000 gift for transport?

Politics › Re: Real-time Gps Station Goes Live In Lagos State by tit(f): 4:58pm On Aug 09, 2010
omo,
the trader or the bus driver does not use any type gps now. so this enhancement of gps data will be of no direct use to them. except they want to buy land or a construction company strikes a pipeline in their area of business since they do not have good info on location of buried utilities.

the CORS station is also of no benefit to most users of handheld gps. their gps systems can only get position data from satellites in orbit but cannot process correction data which is what a CORs station broadcasts.

the GPS signals are affected by errors from the atmosphere and deviations of the satellite from its preplanned orbit etc. the CORS station determines these errors and broadcasts their corrections to survey grade gps systems who can process these corrections into position data. these survey grade gps usually work for the public which includes the market woman and the bus conductor.

Politics › Re: Real-time Gps Station Goes Live In Lagos State by tit(f): 3:30pm On Aug 09, 2010
i must say jakumo is in the right.
the project is little or no use to a bus conductor or a user of everyday handheld or vehicle mounted gps system.
usually the 5ft accuracy (or hand grenade distance) is sufficent for most purposes.
you do not need CORS station for traffic control.

a CORS station or its equivalent is only useful to professional surveyors or engineers who need pin point accuracy. the description of land in your C of O will be less ambigous and locating buried facilities like pipelines (we get buried sewer for naija? festac?) will be easier.
