Sai Baba.
And whixh no Nigerian leader did for 51years before the rehab started under Jonathan!!

Rehab of federal airport nationwide was a hallmark of Jonathan's administration. The Port Airport had been started and more than 60percent completed.

But my bottomline.....why bring in Jonathan?

The good thing is that out of more than 800km of coastline it is only in Lagos area that Egina logistics could be provided. Kudos

Jonathan Orders $500m LADOL FTZone Oil Project Moved from Lagos to Bayelsa

AfricaBy NewsRescueMay 15, 2015

By Akinola Ajibade

President Goodluck Jonathan has directed that a $500 million oil and gas investment project be relocated from LADOL Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Lagos to Agga in Bayelsa State, The Nation learnt yesterday.

The project is a partnership between LADOL Integrated Logistics Enterprise and Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea.

The two companies are to build fabrication and integration yards for Egina Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility for the use of local and foreign-owned oil companies.

The multi-million dollar project is in phases, and billed to be completed in the next five years.

The project is said to have reached an “advanced stage” before Jonathan issued a directive that it should be relocated.

The directive, contained in two letters dated April 27, was signed by Mr A.B Mohammed, a general manager with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Mohammed signed the letters on behalf of the NPA Managing Director, Sanusi Ado Bayero, who is believed to be a stakeholder in Intel, an oil and gas logistics firm in Rivers State– an allegation he has denied in newspaper advertorials.

The letters read: “Pleased be informed that Mr President has vide PRES/99/MT/2/22 of April 20 approved the FPSO project be relocated to Agga in Bayelsa State when the facilities to handle such operations are developed.

“In addition, the project can be conveniently located at any designated oil and gas terminal. Please be informed that Mr President has approved, henceforth, all oil and gas related cargoes must be handled only in the designated terminals in Onne, Warri and Calabar Ports.

The letters added: “In view of this, vessels coming to Nigeria with oil and gas related cargoes, excluding petroleum products, are advised to first go to the appropriate concessioned terminals to be cleared by Customs and other relevant authorities, terminal operators and shipping firms.”

The Managing Director, LADOL Integrated Logistics Enterprise, Dr Amy Jayesinmi, said the timing of the letters was wrong.

She said the directive was ill-conceived, and capable of destroying the gains made by the partners in the project.

She said the directive to relocate the project to Bayelsa was part of efforts to destroy the potential local operators who are bent on deepening their participation in the oil and gas sector.

She said the letter was diversionary in content, advising stakeholders not to allow their attention to be distracted.

Mrs. Jayesinmi said efforts were being made by oil and gas operators to build one of the biggest floating vessels in the world, as well as making Nigeria the oil and gas hub in West Africa, adding that nothing would frustrate that efforts.

She added: “We got the two letters the same day: a day after the appointment of the new MD of NPA. I want to make it clear that we (LADOL) do not have problems with NPA because they are using our facility.

“NPA has an office in LADOL Free Trade Zone. NPA had severally said LADOL is the largest private investor in its facility. By the end of 2017, LADOL would have invested $500million in NPA facility. Technically, it is not appropriate for the project to be relocated to Bayelsa, the President’s home state

I maintain my opinion (made during our last game- 1-1 against China)...

This is the WORST Falconets team we have ever had in Nigeria. They can't put three passes together, no ball sense, no positioning, no interchange of play, can't dribble well, and can't shoot either.

There is a limit to the extent which a very good goalkeeper, sheer luck and prayers can take a team at this level in football (or sports generally).

Their coach is a slowpoke too. He has no strategy whatsoever; no tactics. Nothing! He's just been shouting like a goat on heat since the competition started.

These are not our regular Falconets- these clowns are nowhere the sides that qualified for the final game in 2010 and 2014.

The only player worth the shirt is the goal keeper. The talent of Rashidat Ajibade, the top player, is wasted because she is surrounded by incompetent clowns throughout the pitch.

They are okay. The problem they have which most of our teams have had at this level is the ability to score goals.

All fine play without goals equals to nothing..

They do not take shots

Qualifying for the semi-final will likely be a miracle!

Is this why Warri seaport must be neglected by the federal government?

Shell left Warri for Port Harcourt and since then unemployment is hitting hard on the restive youth.

Boys in Warri now survives on yahoo scam.
The DTSG drive away companies from the area with their policies..and it is deliberately to impoverish the people and make them subservient.
They have ensure that every enterprise that can develop and employ people relocate from Delta. Even Eternit left Sapele for Enugu. Today there is no single multi national company with presence in Warri/Delta...and the govt does not care

na grand corruption...oil rig rental is thousand of dollars per day..for three 3years.

In the Niger Delta oil companies were given licenses to prospect, they did the siemic studies, developed the field on their own on behalf of the JV.

It is only up north that the FG is looking for oil on its own!!!

If there are prospects there let them grant OPLs to private operators to go and look for the oil!!

Militancy should also stop the drilling of oil in Niger Delta.
They first of all use divisive policies to cause problems between the ethnicities; then come back to say the people are militant as an excuse to deny them basic development.

All the Port collectively cannot work because of militants!!!

I hope this is not the usual propaganda against Jonathan...from the nation news.

I mean this news seems too petty or everyday to be in a major newspaper like the nation. It would be understandable if it were in a blog like akproko news or jistnaija pages. No name, no department, no hospital name, no nothing.....only speculation, and perhaps, the covert attempt to soil the name of Bayelsa and Otuoke University...which is the only item of identification in the whole story

See how empty the new is

"A female 100-level student of the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, has breathed her last following a drug-induced sex.

The student was said to have engaged in sex romp with her lover, a male undergraduate, after both took sex-enhancing drugs suspected to be Tramadol and other hard substances.

She reportedly passed out and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where shed died later.""

Politics › Re: How Jonathan’s Aides Embezzle $6m Yearly From NPA – Okonjo-iweala by Titogbanski: 5:23pm On Apr 30, 2018
The subject title is very misleading..it says "How Jonathan’s Aides Embezzle $6m Yearly From NPA – Okonjo-iweala" when in fact it should be saying how Jonathan government fought corruption.

It is so sad to imagine that amongst ordinary Nigerians like us who benefited from the reforms of the govt under Jonathan, we will still go about turning straightforward information upside down.

For a start even the opening paragraph says it all.. " Okonjo-Iweala said she became a target of very powerful interests after she sought and got approval from Jonathan for the implementation of the ports reforms, which include the abolishing of a Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) a regime which importers argued added costs to them for duplicate services

The fact that these reforms were made under Jonathan makes it clear the extreme efforts that the then govt made in general to reform this country. No wonder prices of essential commodities stayed the same for 4 years and in some cases even became cheaper....as bureaucratic bottlenecks and other black-market enhancing schemes were carefully eliminated. Today black market and profiteers are back to thriving

Most of all know the people and past leaders who have always benefitted and still benefit from the entrenched systemic corruption in the country. Is it not strange that all these people worked against the election of Jonathan? How can corrupt people work to remove "Jonathan who is "corrupt" to install a GMB who will "fight corruption".

Hear Nkonjo-Iweala again, "On October 14, 2011, the Minister of Transport and I sent a memo to the President that outlined the short, medium and long term problems of Nigeria’s ports, proposed solutions and requested approval for implementation shortly thereafter".......and, “About six weeks into the implementation of the port reforms, in early December 2011, I received a message that a top-ranking presidential aide wanted me to stop by his office anytime I was in the Villa.”

How can the same Jonathan govt that created the economic team and gave Nkonjo Iweala the free hand to implement all these changes that were approved by the president Jonathan himself....now be the same person to be accused again for corruption? How long had that scam been going on and in which govt.

We all felt the positive impact of these port reforms....24 hours operations and reduction of process from 13 to about 7.

Is this corruption....

I hail on sha

Is there a case against her in the U.K?
