https://www.titopeblog.com/2025/11/guinea-bissaus-military-appointed.html Guinea-Bissau’s military appointed a general as the country’s new leader for the duration of one year Thursday, a day after seizing power, arresting the president, and derailing the announcement of election results. After taking the oath of office in a ceremony at the military’s headquarters, General Horta N’Tam, chief of staff of the army, declared that “I have just been sworn in to lead the High Command,” AFP journalists observed. Having served until now as the chief of staff of the country’s army, N’Tam is considered to have been close in recent years with President Embalo. https://www.titopeblog.com/2025/11/i-dont-go-alone-sheikh-gumi-clarifies.html When I go, I go with the police. I don’t go alone. I go with the government. It’s not a one-man machine. I carry everybody along,” ~Sheikh Gumi defends visits to bandits. “When I go, I go with the police. I don’t go alone. I go with the government. It’s not a one-man machine. I carry everybody along." The basic reason for insecurity is lack of education and unemployment. These are the two evils." "So when I understand that our herdsmen are suffering from these two, you can imagine now, if we select maybe 10 people here, keep them with the cows alone, there's no communication to the outside world. "Come back in one year, and see how these 10 representatives will be. They will be mooing like a cow. If you don't give man education, you'll get nothing. "So I say, the best way to curb insecurity is to go and see the source of the insecurity. In trying to go there, and establish contact with them, and open channels for them to get educated, then it became a problem." Lukuluku69 SlavaUkraini Mynd44 Seun Nlfpmod Lalasticlala

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has cautioned those who routinely blame Christian clerics whenever incidents of terrorism or violent att+cks occur in the country. Speaking during a church service, Suleman expressed frustration over what he described as an unfair pattern of accusing pastors of silence each time insecurity escalates. “You see all the attacks that are going on now, the attack, terrorism and all of that. And as soon as it happens, they call pastors, ‘why are pastors not talking?’ You are s%ck,” he said. He went on to explain why he considered such criticism misplaced. “Let me tell you why I said you are sick. Have you ever heard somebody before he pulls a trigger say ‘praise the Lord’ and then he sh++ts somebody? Or he says ‘thank you Jesus’ and he pulls a trigger?” he asked rhetorically. According to him, those questioning pastors should instead direct their concerns to leaders of the religions associated with perpetrators of such v+olence. “The first people you should call are those in that religion. It’s their religious leaders you should call, not pastors. Pastors should speak for the sake of humanity. Does terrorism have a Christian nomenclature? What do they shout before they k+ll people?” he asked. The congregation responded with, “Allahu Akbar.” Suleman then added, “Is that a Christian parlance? So why are you calling pastors?” The cleric emphasised that Christian leaders should not be held responsible for addressing acts committed by groups that clearly do not identify with Christianity, insisting that the responsibility for public commentary should begin within the affected religious circles. https://www.titopeblog.com/2025/11/terrorism-youre-sick-if-you-ask-whyre.html Lukuluku69 SlavaUkraini Mynd44 Seun Nlfpmod Lalasticlala

Nigeria Is A Disgrace; It's Genocide And I'm Really Angry – President Trump Insists Speaking Friday on a conservative radio programme — remarks later highlighted by Fox News, which captured the exchange — Trump claimed that thousands of Christians were being killed in Nigeria and accused the government of failing to curb extremist violence. The United States President, Donald Trump, has again voiced strong criticism of the Nigerian government over what he described as the “genocide” of Christians in the country. Speaking Friday on a conservative radio programme — remarks later highlighted by Fox News, which captured the exchange — Trump claimed that thousands of Christians were being killed in Nigeria and accused the government of failing to curb extremist violence. The US President reiterated his administration’s earlier designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over alleged religious persecution, saying Washington may take further action if the situation does not improve. “Nigeria is a disgrace. The whole thing is a disgrace,” Trump said during the interview. “They’re killing people by the thousands. It’s a genocide, and I’m really angry about it.” He warned that the US could cut off aid to Nigeria, citing American financial support to the country. “We give a lot of subsidies to Nigeria. We’re going to end up stopping,” he added. Trump also repeated his threat of possible military intervention against Islamist militant groups if the Nigerian government “does not do more” to protect Christian communities. SaharaReporters had reported on Friday that the United States War Department said it was working closely with the Nigerian government to end what it describes as "jihadists terrorists” attacks on Christians in Nigeria. This was disclosed by the Secretary of the War Department, who stated on X: "Yesterday, I met with Nigeria’s National Security Advisor and his team to discuss the horrific violence against Christians in their country." "Under @POTUS leadership, DOW is working aggressively with Nigeria to end the persecution of Christians by jihadist terrorists," he posted on Friday. The statement followed a meeting on Wednesday between Congressman Riley M. Moore and a delegation of senior Nigerian government officials led by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu during their visit to Washington, D.C. Members of the delegation included Ribadu; Her Excellency Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun; Attorney General of the Federation Chief Lateef Olasunkami Fagbemi, SAN; Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede; Chief of Defence Intelligence Lt. Gen. EAP Undiendeye; Special Adviser to ONSA Idayat Hassan; Director of Foreign Relations, ONSA, Ambassador Ibrahim Babani; Acting CDA, Embassy of Nigeria, Ambassador Nuru Biu; and Paul Alabi of the Embassy’s Political and Economic Section. According to the statement, the meeting “allowed for a frank, honest, and productive discussion about the ongoing persecution of Christians and ongoing terrorist threats in Nigeria and opportunities for strengthened cooperation and coordination between the United States and Nigeria to end the bloodshed.” It added that the Nigerian delegation “shared their government’s challenges and concerns regarding counterterrorism, security assistance, protection of vulnerable communities, and ongoing issues involving violence across Nigeria.” The release noted that Congressman Moore “clearly stated that the United States stands ready to coordinate and cooperate with Nigeria,” adding that “as President Trump made abundantly clear, the United States will not tolerate continued violence against Christians or other forms of religious persecution.” It further stressed that “President Trump does not make idle threats.” It added that Moore “will continue monitoring new developments and pushing the Nigerian government to accept the open hand of cooperation to stop the ongoing persecution and violence against Christians and combat the threat terrorist groups pose to the Nigerian population.” Moore also issued a detailed statement after the meeting. “Today, I had a frank, honest, and productive discussion with senior members of the Nigerian government regarding the horrific violence and persecution Christians face and the ongoing threat terrorism poses across Nigeria,” he said. https://www.titopeblog.com/2025/11/nigeria-is-disgrace-its-genocide-and-im.html Lukuluku69 SlavaUkraini Mynd44 Seun Nlfpmod Lalasticlala

The Governor made this known while fielding questions from newsmen in Minna, the state capital after a security and stakeholders meeting in Government House over the current security situation in the state. https://www.titopeblog.com/2025/11/niger-state-government-blames-school.html The Niger State Government has confirmed the abduction of students and staff from Saint Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area. The assailants stormed the school at about 2am today November 21 and carried out their attack. In a statement released. the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Abubakar Usman, said following prior intelligence, the government orderd the closure of all boarding schools in the area but the Catholic school affected defied the warning and reopened. “The Niger state government has received with deep sadness the disturbing news of the kidnapping of pupils from St. Mary’s School in Agwara Local Government Area. The exact number of abducted pupils is yet to be confirmed as security agencies continue to assess the situation. The state received prior intelligence report indicating an increased threat level in parts of the northern senatorial district. In response to these credible security alerts, the State Government had earlier issued a clear directive suspending all construction activities and ordering the temporary closure of all boarding schools within the affected zone as a precautionary measure. St. Mary’s School, however, proceeded to reopen and resume academic activities without notifying or seeking clearance from the state. Security agencies have since commenced a full-scale investigation and search-and-rescue operations to ensure the safe return of the pupils. The Niger State Government is in close communication with all relevant security formations and will provide continuous updates as more information becomes available. The Government urges school proprietors, community leaders, and all stakeholders to adhere strictly to security advisories issued in the interest of public safety. The protection of lives, especially those of our children, remains the utmost priority of this administration.” This abduction comes barely a week after 25 students were abducted from the Government Girls Comprehensive School Lukuluku69 SlavaUkraini Mynd44 Seun Nlfpmod Lalasticlala

http://www.titopeblog.com/2020/03/hantavirus-man-dies-in-china-after.html A man has died in Yunnan province of China after testing positive to Hantavirus. The man died while on his way back to Shandong Province for work on a chartered bus, China’s Global Times reports. Hantavirus immediately became a trend on social media following the report with people panicking that it was another COVID-19 ready to cause a new pandemic. However, unlike coronavirus, hantavirus is not airborne. Humans who contract the hantavirus usually come into contact with rodents that carry the virus. “Rodent infestation in and around the home remains the primary risk for hantavirus exposure. Even healthy individuals are at risk for HPS infection if exposed to the virus,” Centre for Disease Control and Prevention said in its website. Although HPS can’t be passed on from person to person, it can be contracted if someone touches their eyes, nose or mouth after touching rodent droppings, urine, or nesting materials, states Centers for Disease Control and Prevention fact sheet. lalasticlala, mynd44, seun

http://www.titopeblog.com/2020/01/caf-award-2019is-sadio-main-mane.html It was almost like a general belief that Sadio Mane would win the Tuesday night CAF award. Few hours to the award, ex-footballers and analysts had voiced their support for Mane. His Liverpool team-mate Mohammed Salah stayed back in the UK to train. Several miles away from him, Riyad Mahrez and co were running rings around Manchester United in a Carabao Cup semi-final. Of the three final nominees, Mane sat alone in the Citadel Azure, in the city of Hurghada in Egypt. In 2019, he stood alone, out by himself, as the best African footballer. Mane enjoyed a brilliant year with both Senegal and Liverpool. He helped the Teranga Lions to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where they eventually lost to Algeria. Last season, the 27-year-old netted 22 goals to share the Premier League Golden Boot with Salah and Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Mane also played a key role in helping Jurgen Klopp’s men win the UEFA Champions League, Super League and the FIFA Club World Cup last year. Pundits are indeed surprised that this is the first time Mane is being named CAF African Player of the Year. In fact, he becomes only the second man from his country to win it, after El Hadj Diouf. However, what is a true measure of his sheer ability, is that he is now in the Ballon d’Or conversations. During the last edition, Mane finished in fourth place behind winner, Lionel Messi, Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo. It is truly amazing how he has done enough to be talked about – and rewarded – with Salah being the more famous figure. “I think Mo Salah tends to get more headlines than Mane does and other players get mentioned more than he does. “There’s probably a million and one reasons why that is, but certainly at Anfield, at Liverpool, amongst fans, he’s appreciated as much as anyone else. We love him,” Gareth Roberts, editor of Liverpool fanzine The Anfield Wrap, told CNN Sport. Even Messi, who voted for Mane to win the FIFA The Best award last year, said it is “a shame” to see Mane finish fourth in the Ballon d’Or rankings for 2019. He told Canal+: “It’s a shame to see Mane finish in fourth place. “But I think there have been a lot of great players this year. That’s why it was difficult to choose a particular player. “But I chose Sadio Mane because he’s a player that I like. “Mane achieved a great year that was exceptional for the entire Liverpool team. That’s why I chose him. “I repeat, there were a lot of very great players this year, so the choice was difficult.” Analysts believe that in a matter of years, at another Ballon d’Or event, everybody would know, that Mane will be named the winner. lalasticlala, mynd44, seun

http://www.titopeblog.com/2019/12/land-use-charge-lagos-assembly-amends.html Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have amended the Land Use Charge Law, 2018 passed by the Akinwunmi Ambode government. Ambode was widely criticised for the controversial Law. The 6-man Ad Hoc Committee, Chaired by Hon. Rotimi Olowo, presented the report of the findings of the committee to members at the Plenary on Monday. According to him, the House in response to the outcry of residents in some sections in the Principal Law on Land Use Charge, 2018, organised a Public Hearing to ensure public participation. During the presentation of the report, the Chairman of the 6 Man Ad Hoc Committee, Hon. Olowo highlighted observations made by the participants at the Public Hearing some of which are; According to him, Section 1(2), “Pensioner” should be redefined to include all retirees resident in the State from Federal and State Institutions and from both Private and Corporate organizations domiciled in the State. The public hearing revealed that the increase is generally perceived to be arbitrary and unrealistic in a recessed economy and the State Government should revert to the status quo of the Land Use Charge for 2017. Similarly, it was agreed by participants and stakeholders that vacant plot of land and unoccupied properties should be exempted from the Land Use Charge liabilities. The Committee also posited that Section 17(c) (i) there is no need for 50% payment by an aggrieved owners over disputed charges before their eligibility to appeal; while aggrieved residents/owners should pay the preceding year’s charges while the disputed charges are being resolved, among others. The Committee, however, recommended that as from the commencement of this Law; there should be proper classification of commercial and residential properties in the State for the purpose of levying charges in accordance with the provisions of this Law by the property identification officers of the Ministry. He further recommended that there shall be twenty percent (20%) increase from the fees chargeable before the repeal of the Land Use Charge Law Ch. L79 2015, and the increment referred to in sub-section (1) above shall be renewable every ten (10) years; Pensioner should be replaced with a person who retires from a Pensionable Office; The owner of the property is liable to pay Land Use Charge in respect of any taxable property. lalasticlala, mynd44, seun

http://www.titopeblog.com/2019/12/buhari-appoints-another-amosun-ally.html President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed another former aide of Sen. Ibikunle Amosun into the new board of the Federal Inland Revenue Service to represent the South-West. This is in spite of Amosun’s suspension from the All Progressives Congress (APC), We reports that Adewale Ogunyomade served as Special Adviser for Rural Development to Amosun. His name has been forwarded to the Senate, alongside others, for confirmation, pursuant to Section 3(2) of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (Establishment) Act, 2007. Amosun has succeeded in pushing forward his political loyalists into Buhari’s government, fuelling speculations that the President is well pleased with him. Recall that the former Ogun State Governor and Senator representing Ogun Central was suspended from the APC by the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, for alleged anti-party activities. But the lawmaker has been able to outsmart his rivals from Ogun State, including former Governor Olusegun Osoba, by having all Federal political appointments into his camp, without any recourse to the incumbent Gov. Dapo Abiodun. We recalls that Amosun’s former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Olamilekan Adegbite, was appointed as the Minister of Mines and Steel Development. He also succeeded in pushing his former Commissioner for Special Duties and InterGovernmental Affairs, Adeleke Adewolu, to be appointed as the executive commissioner, Stakeholder Engagement, at the Nigeria Communications Commission. In the same vein, Amosun’s former Commissioner, Urban and Physical Planning, Mrs Ronke Sokefun, was appointed as the chairman of the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation. Also, Bisi Adegbuyi became the Postmaster-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Postal Services through Amosun’s influence. lalasticlala, mynd44, seun

That is my priority as the leader. ” I am doing this after one year I left office just to allow the present All Progressives Congress to display what they have for the people and you can all see for yourselves. I am not here for my selfish interest but just to ensure this party does not fail.” Fayose, who used the meeting to officially congratulate Senator Biodun Olujimi on her recent victory as the lawmaker representing Ekiti South senatorial district, noted that she remains the leader of the party in the state. While explaining that creating different groups within the party would not be the best option, Fayose, however, assured that all issues and tendencies would be resolved for the party to reclaim the state from the APC in future elections. He regretted the violence and alleged electoral malpractices that marred the last Saturday’s local government election, saying he warned the leadership of PDP in the state not participate in the poll for obvious reasons. ” Everybody should come back to the party. I am open to reconciliation. If Senator Biodun Olujimi call you for meeting tomorrow, go there and listen to her. All of us are leaders , don’t let us factionalize this party. I am congratulating her (Senator Olujimi) and I don’t have any issue with her and I am sorry for what happened in the past.” lalasticlala, mynd44, seun

The Federal High Court, Lagos has fixed February 6, 2020 for hearing of application seeking to stop final forfeiture of some properties linked to a former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki. Justice Muhammed Liman had on October 21, fixed Thursday for hearing of application from any interested persons to show cause for the properties not to be permanently forfeited to the Federal government after granting the EFCC motion for interim forfeiture of the said properties. The properties located at 17 and 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi, at Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State are said to belong to the immediate past Senate President. Justice Liman had granted the ex parte motion for the interim forfeiture of the two properties and affidavit deposed to by one Olamide Sadiq, which were argued by the lawyer to the EFCC, Nnaemeka Omewa. In praying the court to forfeit the properties in the interim, Omewa had told the court that the properties were suspected to have been acquired through proceeds of illicit funds by Saraki After granting the motion ex parte, Justice Liman had also ordered the EFCC to publish the order of forfeiture of the two properties in a national daily within fourteen days for any interested party or parties to show cause why the properties will not be permanently forfeited to the Federal government of Nigeria. He had adjourned the matter till November 7 for report of compliance. On November 7, the EFCC through Rotimi Oyedebo, lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, informed the court of compliance with the court order and urged the court to made the interim order final. However, Saraki’s lawyer told the court that they were in court in respect of the properties and urged the court to hear them. But Oyedepo, in opposition to the appearance of Saraki’s lawyer, said that the purpose of that day’s proceedings was for the EFCC to inform the court of its compliance with the order. Consequently, Justice Liman adjourned till Thursday, December 5, for hearing of all applications. However, at the resumed hearing, Judge Liman was said to be in another jurisdiction of the court. Consequently, EFCC lawyer Omewa, and a lawyer from Saraki’s legal team, Mr Deji O, met on the matter and agreed that the case be adjourned till February 6, 2020. https://dailypost.ng/2019/12/06/saraki-may-lose-properties-to-fg-as-court-takes-decision/amp/
