Their are clause to this CBN policy kindly take note of these lines.

* Any note with incomplete control number banks will reject it.

* Any note with composed parts I.e joining two different parts together banks will reject it

* Burned note banks will reject it.

* Dirty/ mutilated note so long as the control numbers are complete banks will accept it.

* Note that CBN charges bank 400% on any of the first three I mentioned above. I.e if bank deposit money and for instance they find N1,000 with incomplete control number, burned note or different parts joined together on that N1,000 the defaulting bank will 400% of N1,000 as panelty.
