This could happen because the ping rate has a low value, Data is constantly synchronising at the background at a very good speed. Try again and step down to 3g to see if it disappears. More still, you can use a data counter. There are apps that can perform that like datally. There are several

I don't experience such on my mtn with the same device. I'm sure I am not the only one experiencing this. Airtel data counter is flawed.

My complaint is with the way data exhausts without using it. I gave an example of how i slept with my data off and having 500MB in my account but when I woke up to check the data status it was 0MB.

I disagree. Whenever I am in a place with fast mtn speed the data doesn't disappear like Airtel. Imagine going to sleep with data off and 500mb on your Airtel but waking up to 0mb...
