That's the automail I got too. They eventually replied after 5 weeks. I was asked to attach by email. So maybe in another 2 weeks your case will be reviewed. Its good you sent the request 3 weeks ago. You should get all you need before your interview in august.
NVC issues IL and they approved your opt out that's why you got interview date. Your case is no longer with Uscis that's why NVC can do that.
Don't worry my visa class didn't change on ceac log in till after 3weeks. By next week your case status will be sent (in transit) and then it will at the embassy (ready).

Have you sent your email to Uscis Ghana yet? If you haven't, pls do today. They just responded to my mails last night. That's about 5 weeks to respond. You have to send a signed letter stating your single status. It's best you do that when you are sending your request. They just requested that yesterday and my interview is in 4 days. Hopefully I get the approval before then.
Medicals in Lagos takes 2 weeks to get your result if everything is ok.

You can add spouse and children to your petition..its better you do that now so that when you get your welcome letter and your ceac page opens up their details will already be included.

She needs approval from nvc and Uscis. Nvc's approval won't be approval per se as they will still tell you to contact uscis. But when they reply, her category will be f2b at the bottom of the page

@pretty16, you are likely to get interview date by the end of the month. Call on the 28th to ask the status of your case.

The only email I got from nvc concerning opt out was that I should get in touch with dhs and indicate the benefit of opt out bla bla. At the footer of the email my category had changed to f2b. I never got anything like under review
However I didn't write a letter. I used

The current June bulletin for f2b has passed my pd by over one month and I have a sibling who is vehemently refusing to opt out.
I can't decide to opt out alone.

Oh ok. You might want to convince. Like @stancima wrote, I don't think you have anything to lose. Its either they approve or not. It doesn't slow down your process in anyway. That's my opinion though

I sent my letter through post because they don't open attachments in email. And then I emailed. I didn't wait for response from nvc. I sent the letter before nvc approved. I used the express mail address. And I called to confirm they got it.
Maybe @stacima has other ideas.

I dont think so. Nvc already told me a few days ago when I called that my category is now f2b and visa number was available. They were only waiting for interview slots from lagos.

Aye me ooo. I am opting out ooo. My PD is July 21st and I was originally on F2B. They changed me to F1 in Feb 2017. OMG what do I do now? So confused.

I also changed last year and it didn't affect this. Looks like f1 will only move 2 weeks. It was a hard decision too
