Rio is very comfy with the ball. Watch his strides when he brings the ball forward to support the attack. Not too many central defenders can do this.
In the whole of Europe, only Rio, Pique, Puyol and to some extent Vermaelen are comfy in this art.

Does that make him a bad players as well?. Rio is one of the Central defender you can count on only that he is not even 80% match fit right now.
