PAGAN 9JA:Too many daft people on Nairaland nowadays. If you dont know, Arik has a name for each of their Aeroplanes just like shipping lines and their ships. I have been on an Arik plane before and on that particular one was written "Sultan of Sokoto". So are you trying to tell me it was privately owned by the Sultan?? THink properly before you type. |
playnaija: When I first watched this video, I couldn't stop but laugh all day, the person in the video is from Delta State in Nigeria and formerly an Okada Driver that gathered over NGN800, 000 to travel to UK with fake papers and passport. He his popularly known as uncle London in the UK. Watch and see how he was able to beg the UK immigration officers. WATCH VIDEO BELOW:@OP Your post was nice and hilarious, but why do you have to lie with the little story you added there? I guess you just want to "famz" the guy. YES, He is possibly from Warri, but he ISN'T the "uncle london". And that guy wasnt an Okada rider. BTW where did you get your 800k gist? Have a nice day |

erico2k2: E don ralize now say Ghana dey learn, all teh mouth wen dem getTake it easy bro.. I never said who was 'schooling" and who was "learning". I just posted a screenshot and bro stop hating. Try to post your own screenshots too. This is for educational purposes too. You dont have to turn every thread to a "Nigera Vs Ghana" fight. BTW Am a full blooded Nigerian (Born and brought up), Just in Ghana for a very short time. |
optionA4: Here is the speed I get in Canada... Nigeria may not be there yet but it is question of time. With this kind of speed browsing is a whole different experience@Boss I greet ur canadian speed. With determination and Hardwork, Nigeria will be there soon. I am very sure when the GLO Fibre optic cable comes into full use in Naija, we will unbeatably be the fastest in Africa. |
And while Nigeria is "LEADING", see my average speed here in Ghana. FYI:: I am a Nigerian

Go and listen to Timaya's "Shake your bumbum". Then you will know exactly where they copied alingo from. Even Timaya knows this. Fans were tweeting it the day P Square released the Alingo song and Timaya was busy retweeting his fans without saying a word. These guys should try to be original. |
@Red light. Your screenshots are nice. Does your downloads on those networks stay on those speed or its just a peak? And I am a Nigerian, OK? The screenshot I posted was done using Vodafone Ghana's lowest plan. They separate the plans by the amount of bandwidth given, but there is no download limit. There are plans that have 20Mbits as the basic download speed. As for your last screenshot, I swear, that is out of this world. |
Red-Light:Take it easy man, I didnt create this thread to quarrel. Just post speeds and lets compare. This thread is meant to educate, ok? And I never told you this is the best, its just something to start off with. |
I was testing my internet speed on speedtest.net and I started wondering which ISP in Nigeria can give me this speed with unlimited bandwidth. I am in Accra at the moment and Using Vodafone ADSL Broadband. So please you all should post screenshots of the highest speeds you get and I think this is how we can know the ISP with the Highest speed in Nigeria. Thanks

Everyday I see a lot of stu.pid comments on Nairaland. The OP just asked the price of those parts. He might not even own the SUV yet, he might be using it as a standard to make his decision on the car he wants to buy. At least he never mentioned that any of those parts were bad in his car. What if he wanted to open an infiniti spare parts shop and he just wanted to get a public price? Too many dumbos on nairaland at a time. @OP. Please hang on a little longer, someone with vast knowledge on these parts would come and give you good answers. |
I'm as confused as your friend right now. I really wish I could help but those cars are alike, its hard to choose. |
Pinoralia: honestly speaking, I 'm 25yrs old, a corper. I might be so engrossed in my phones (bb and htc) in some cases to the extent that I won't go to teach my student in class talkless of a 12yrs old child. Take it or leave it, one can't monitor a child total activities on a phone. just as someone said, he or she will only be switching memory cards. we were once @ dat age, we shld know what is expected of them. it 's better they started using smartphones after secondary school when they wld av understood life better. if he or she has an assignment to check onlie, let him use your laptop or phone. a small phone that uses no memory card is better at that age.Seriously I dont think you have come to understand the fact that "oldage is not maturity". If at 25, a young man (I guess), done with University education, serving his country cannot control his attachment to a simple phone to the extent of denying little children their right to the knowledge they paid to get in school, then I dont think you are anywhere better than the children you claim to teach. Or do you still need someone at your age to monitor your activities? Now I understand better why our politicians behave like children. You are just old but behave like we did when the Nintendo 8bit just came out. Your obsession and addiction to the Blackberry and HTC that just got street popular in Nigeria 4 years ago is not because you used a smartphone during secondary school. You simply have problems with priorities and please do not compare your old self to that little boy, you will humiliate yourself the more. |
Okija_juju: My kid brother is 9 and owns an Ipad.. Although not connected to the internet via 3G, he has unlimited access the home WIFI system..Thank God we still have a few sensible people on Nairaland |
miko11: 'IT TAKES A SMART PARENT TOYou are welcome bro |
slimdiggi: What has super mario gat to do with this?!! I think d memory space in your head is dat of a trium phone dat u cnt rememba hw d world has changed since u wer 12,its jst a shame u equipn them like this will com bak n bite u on ur arse!Aww, I am so sorry the Super Mario line hurt u so much. LMAO... So funny you were tryna make me know you were shouting with the "?!!" signs.. hahaha I was simply trying to let you know why its good to expose children to "good" technology. Please google the name Lim Ding Wen and tell me what you find there. A 9 year old boy who programmed the iPhone. Everybody wants to have a smart child, but they hate the process it takes to make a child smart due to laziness. And most of you, like YOU!! take the wrong way and turn ur children to jailbirds who fly higher than a kite when they spend just 5 minutes away from home LOL.. Bottomline: IT TAKES A SMART PARENT TO MAKE SMART CHILDREN |
Burrito: Hi tkovie2002, considering this is a tech-age, i do see your point. But, you were 14 though.... 12 and 14 could mean a world of difference when it comes to responsible behavior. I'm curious though, how did you or your parents make sure that you kept up with your school performance while continuing to have unrestrained to the computer? Did you also have free rein to all the indecencies out here on the world wide web? And considering that there's a lot more on the net than when you were 14 - except you are 15 nowThank you very much for your understanding. Well, am very far away from 15 right now LOL... I understand there's alot between 14 and 12. But the fact is, when I was 14, 90% of people I saw using computers were at least 10 years older than me unlike today that even dogs would use computers if they could. Some of them would bully me with words, but when they found out what I could do, they mostly ended up running to me for help. As for unrestrained access, my parents know am a BIG fan of Technology, so they never bothered about that (which I must confess is not too safe). Also I was brought up in a "NIGERIAN" God Fearing Christian home by a strict Dad and a very sweet Mom that is very good with the canes LOL. So at every point in time I have the feeling there is someone watching me (That doesnt mean I didnt see some stuffs above my level though). He is in a very curious age and taking tech away from him wont help him. What matters is the upbringing and the level of discipline. Give him information before hand same way mothers tell girls approaching puberty that they could get pregnant when they get touched by a guy. Let him know there are alot of bad stuffs on the internet that could corrupt him. For example, those days, grown ups would tell us that if we open indecency sites, it will download viruses on the system and it will crash. You wont love a computer so much that you would want to destroy it. That still works up till now. I know presently the amount of indecency on the internet has multiplied compared to years ago. There must certainly be a way to go around this. We cannot deny that right now kids are not fully exposed to indecency. They see it everyday on the streets. A simple once in a while un-announced check on his phone would do. For example, If I was the parent, I would have a very bad looking old phone, or a china phone separately and make a clear statement to him that the day I find anything above his level that isn't educative on his phone, he'll be using that until he is 18. They are children, what you put in their heads at home, would determine their actions outside. |
slimdiggi: I feel sorry for you! Go ahead equip your child with d latest ''Tech'' n watch evrything fall apart around u,u've had access to a computer since u were 12 n still kör...I feel sorry for you the most. Give your kids Hammer and stones to write on walls and you will see how "good" they will become and watch everything "stick together".. LMAO. I have found myself calling a little cousin different times when am away from home to locate a folder on the computer, print out a particular document and take it to someone. Tell me how he could do that if he wasnt exposed to all these? I will provide my children with all necessary gadgets they need (especially the boys), though they will have to earn it one way or the other. Please swear that playing Super Mario didn't increase your IQ. Well, maybe you never did. |
LMAO... So funny you were tryna make me know you were shouting with the "?!!" signs.. hahaha I was simply trying to let you know why its good to expose children to "good" technology.
- would you still stay go ahead and give the kid unrestrained access? Just curious...
