Thank you much for this information.

I have flown Egyptair to and from Dubai a couple of times within the past year. 300k is a good amount of money to save and if you can, I would advise that you fly with egypt air. They're prompt, professional and their prices are very reasonable.

I would advise you to choose from one of the methods I use. I love layovers but I hate sitting for long hours at the airport. So if you can get a ticket with maybe 2 hours layover in Egypt at that good rate you found, go for it as you won't spend a long time sitting at the airport and in a before you know it, you're on the next flight to Dubai.

OR

Find a ticket with a layover longer than 6 hours and OVERNIGHT. It will help as you will be given a hotel voucher and a bus will be assigned to drop you and the kids off at the hotel and pick you up 2 hours before your flight. Like I said, they're very prompt so you don't want to be slow.

If you'll take the second option, I will advise that you pack a bit of essentials (Maybe a change of shirt and undies) in your hand luggage and check in the rest of the bags for easy movement so you don't drag a lot of bags around while transiting. You'll wake up in the morning refreshed and start the second leg of your journey with full energy.

I wish you all the best!

House please if you book an air ticket how long does it takes the ticket to come out..my agent in Dubai said 3days..is it true?

If you book a ticket online, you get it instantly or at most 30 minutes in your email. If you do over the counter, same thing. Flight tickets are not visa that takes processing.

I think it depends on the airline, Turkish airline requests for OTB...
Just make sure you inquire well from the airline you're gonna fly with so you don't have problems on DOD...

Turkish will only ask for OTB if you are flying one way. I've flown turkish airline before on a 3 months Sharjah visa. As long as you have return ticket, any airline will board you.

The reason the airlines request for OTB is because they cannot verify your visa at that moment and should you be refused entry into the UAE upon arrival, you become a burden to them as it will be their responsibility to fly you back to Nigeria. If you only bought a one way ticket, then they will be running at a loss flying you back for free. But if you have a return ticket, they will easily put you on the next flight back to Nigeria if refused entry, at no extra cost based on your return ticket.

You can still get 3 months visa if you meet a good agent. BTW its only single entry for Nigerians. We don't have the option of multiple entry.

Hello everyone, Please I'm new on this thread. Can i still get a three month visit visa to dubai, I don't mind even the single entry. I contacted Rayna tours and they said Nigerians can only get 14 days visit visa. Please guys advise me . Thanks

God bless you.. do you know of any nice and cheap hotel in Dubai central. Where I can go for sightseeing. I don't want to believe booking.com

It depends on your pocket. If you're on a low-mid range budget stay anywhere between Deira and Bur Dubai. Check for closeness to a Metro station (Subway Access) for cheaper and easier transportation.

Please every gurus in the house.. i am travelling to Dubai for a week and i was to travel with Turkish airline, i need some advice about it.. what happens during the lay overs?thanks

Nothing happens except you're given a food voucher to eat while you wait for your next flight. You could get an instant visa to tour the city for $50 but thats only if you hold a valid UK, US or Schengen visa. Anything other than that, you're stuck in the airport for the duration of the layover.

Tip: If you can't receive the free wifi code on your sim at the airport, buy ice cream from the ice cream shop ($7 I think) and the man will give you his own wifi password. That will last you all through the layover.

Safe flight.

I'm so nervous right now. I took the advise of a member on this board and I called the embassy since I had been waiting some June 4th. I spoke with a guy at the embassy and he said at that moment my application had not been processsed but he was going to look at it then. 4 hours later, I get a msg that my passport is ready for pick I. That can't be too good. Has this happened to anyone here?

Exactly what happened with me. I hope you get it though

PS: Its an original bank statement from my personal current account with good transactions and good balance.

I think it takes Lagos a month to process a visit visa because I applied since the 6th of June and only got a text an email today 7th July that my passport is ready for pickup. So I advise everyone else to make use of Abuja office if you want it early.

Hello Guys, Been ages i heard from Oga Justwise. i Hope he is ok.

For those who have applied for tourist visas through Lagos, and are yet to get a response or feedback on thier application, i would advise you call (01-4612067, 01-4612051) the Consulate and worry them. As their delay can be annoying.

I submitted mine in the first week of June, and had to call them this week to lay a complaint. Thankfully they eventually issued it and i picked it up today.

Thanks. My passport has been there since 6th of June. I'll call them today.

A friend of our family who lived in the US for about 26yrs relocated back to Nigeria. He built a house at Agbara estate. When armed robbers visited them nobody knew the building had a basement with the way he built it. They hid in the basement and placed a call to friends in the neighbourhood who helped them alert the police.

I feel this is a good reason to have one, especially in this our Nigeria.
Properties / Why Don't Nigerian Homes Have Basements? by tkovie2002(m): 3:51pm On Sep 08, 2016
According to wikipedia A basement or cellar is one or more floors of a building that are either completely or partially below the ground floor. Basements are generally used as a utility space for a building where such items as the boiler, water heater, breaker panel or fuse box, car park, and air-conditioning system are located; so also are amenities such as the electrical distribution system, and cable television distribution point. However, in cities with high property prices such as London, basements are often fitted out to a high standard and used as living space.

So as beautiful and Useful as they can be, I would like to know why most Nigerian homes do not have basements like the ones abroad.

* Is it very expensive?

* Doesn't our terrain or building codes/patterns support it?

* Is it that our architects do not suggest it or clients just don't just want it.

* What are the pros and cons with respect to Geographical region?

Please I would like everyone to air their views so we can learn from each other.

Just two terrorists but why did they have to keep switching the arms and changing the ammunitions close to them and make it seem like its more than two? This makes it difficult to believe them. They're trying too hard to impress.

PS: Like everyone else, I'm glad the boko haram are being defeated but pls don't try to impress us with photo ops, just do your job and present it as it is, not modifying their positions and things around them trying to decieve us.

The only downside with nerds are:

Their brain works like a computer. Lol Eg, complain all you want to a nerd about his babe, he would never believe you. Won't give it a second thought sef but the very day he catches his babe red handed(say cheating)beg all you want, explain all you want. . . The computer has crashed and its irrepairable. No second chance with them.

When they say they need their space, they mean every word of it!nothing you'd do or so moves them until they are done.

They keep you on your feet always. They've got a standard and you MUST live up to their expectations. They've got no time to baby sit you, they expect you to know and do the right thing always. No time for drama queen or cry baby. . . Methinks its Cos they are cry babies themselves, forget all the false nerdy confidence. Rofl.

I must confess, this is SPOT ON! How did you know so much?
