I didn't skip any part... I've even finished the manga. I was just sorely let down by the plot. After watching season 1, I was so psyched I went to read the manga... Only to be completely disappointed by the turn of events. What was a high stakes, last stand battle between humanity and man eating titans, turned out to be a disappointing squabble between two nations over some stupid shit that happened thousands of years ago. I wasn't impressed.
