Yess boss. Thanks for the encouragement. I even checked my spam yesterday to confirm that no rejection / denial has been sent to my mail. Waiting patiently

Neverthelss, I will advice you to pay the cash as soon as possible because I've read a case whereby a man's student visa wasn't issued for over 6 to 7 weeks because Deutsche Bank didn't send confirmation letter to the embassy. However, after the confirmation was received, the student visa was issued within few days...

gudboyz: Good Morning House, I need clarification please. I went for my interview yesterday(Visit Visa), after the questions and answers, the lady handed me a white slip(Receipt for Visa fee), collected all my original documents including my Passport and asked me to come back 10days time. Does is mean that anybody they gave the white slip and collected his Passport will be granted a Visa Or is it the normal routine for both refused and issued visa? I mean,do they also ask refused applicant to come back after 10 days. I await your response, thanks.

I have seen a case like that. The guy was granted his visa. However, no one can guarantee that they will grant you the visa. You just have to wait till then.

japans: Great Nairalanders, I really want to commend all for the good job you all doing here, most especially I want to appreciate the gurus like tope, godson, angel diamond and all our ogas in the house. I pray may the Lorg Almighty continue to bless you all and Nigeria. I read Marketing @ Yabatech and graduated with a distinction honours (3.62) out of a 4.00 scale. I want to ask if HND in Marketing can be use for master in field of marketing in Germany? Secondly, I want any one with informations regarding Masters in Marketing to please assist me with names of the marketing universities? Finally, I search through some uni and discovered that they are not under uni assist, but they offer masters marketing, I want to ask if it is write to send them the photocopies of my credential to confirm if am eligible for the masters in Marketing or how do I go with the process? Thanks in advance for your responses. Thanks yours LEARNER

You cannot be accepted for masters with HND. You will have to start from Undergraduate level.

Well U have a point but what I was trying to say earlier was that I felt it was routine for the embassy to stamp ur passport and write the visa type on it just to confirm u have applied for visa and have been interviewed. Even after the interview and stamping of the passport, they might still not process the person's visa until the person pays the 8000euros into the account. Just an opinion sha. I'm sure the embassy knows what they are doing.

Okay, I get your point...wish you the best

I was interviewed on 9th september without blocked account being ready, I only submitted the confirmation slip the embassy gave me when I went to open the Blocked account on 2nd september but My passport was stamped and written D on it and they also withheld my originals. Could it be possible that the VO forgot to stamp Aroyem4u's passport?
I just received mail from Deutsche Bank containing my account details now now while I was typing this post. That is less than 2weeks from 2nd september (11 days) when I went to the embassy for the Blocked account opening.

But the question is how will the embassy and especially the Foreign office know if you have the financial capacity to sustain yourself If that is the case, it is logical that every other person might want to use that means to get their visa approved even though they can't afford the 8000 euros.

dmitroika: hello tope, godson, angel diamond and all our ogas in the house, like i said i have gone for my interview since 20th august so i sent a mail to the embassy yesterday and this as their reply. what do you think the outcome of this reply will be?

"Dear Sir,

please note that the regular procedure takes between 4-6 weeks.
As you just applied on 20/08/13 you need to be patient.

As soon as the competent authority in Germany sends the necessary reply,
I will let you know.

Kind regards."

it simply means that they have not gotten any approval from the foreign office to issue your visa. This may be probably due to the loads of application on the foreign office table of your city of residence. For example, some people blocked account was processed in less than less than 2 weeks, and others took 3 weeks. Therefore, it differs.

Exactly, he didn't go into detail...so it was a bit misleading

Chief chill naa. U don't need to insult others. I put that up cos I'm not the first dat will go for interview without blocked account and will still get their passport stamped so I was quite worried. Maybe u should go and check previous posts I and other people have made here. I was just stating my worries and I never at any point stated that I had a BC. Yesterday I was still saying I'm expecting the BC and I was encouraged it will come before the end of this week and it came today. Pls try to choose ur words when u talk to people. No one is here to joke and no one is an island of knowledge. Nobi u sabi pass.

Are you sure the german embassy didn't put your application ON HOLD? The embassy collected the documents of a guy I once met at the embassy, but the application would not be processed until he paid the money into his blocked account. In my opinion, that was why the woman didn't stamp your passport.

wot if u r going for a masters programm purely taught in english?

As long as you are going for an english-taught program, you DO NOT NEED to provide any proficiency in German Language to get your visa. This applies to both undergraduate and masters program. This is clearly stated by the staffs of the federal foreign office on study-in.de. However, if your program is going to be FULLY or even PARTLY taught in german, it is NECESSARY to be proficient in German in order to get your visa.

My Advice to all intending applicants pls try and get some language knowledge from Nigeria if you want to come here and study strictly in English. Learning the language here is expensive.

Some schools do provide intensive language course at different levels to their students for FREE. So it may not be always expensive

Your case is quite complicated. I don't think any of us know the category of visa that you applied for. Well, in my opinion, if your visa was approved, they should have asked you to come with a travel insurance also.

chuksvoice: Please house, i just got a letter from the German uni. I applied to but everything they wrote on the letter was in german language could it be an admission letter? Please anyone with similar experience shld heip me out. The letter is sent by university of tubingen, or does it mean the course offered is only taught in german? Although the course i applied was written in english. Am just a bit confused.
Thanks

It could be an admission letter. Just use google translation as Godson as once said.
My official admission letter was written in german also. Although the school sent me an english translation, it had no official status. By the way, it's an english program

please how did you go about the payment at the bank? and what bank did you use? Zenith and Ecobank are asking me to open a domiciliary account first, then change my naira to euros from 'abokis', is that how you also went about yours? isn't that risky?? isn't there a bank in nigeria where i can just change the currency without having to involve abokis? pls i need replies on this... thanks

We have an Euro account in FCMB, so there was no need to change money from naira to euro. It is either you have a domicilliary account OR have someone who has an euro account and can help you with the transfer. By the way, it has to be someone you trust.
